Hey i was just wondering if i could flash the EternityProject Kernel on my htc one x with cm 10.1.
Can anyone tell me if this will work without any problems?
[ PS. I'm a noob ]
First, belongs in Q and A. Second, I don't see a team eternity kernel. Make surr that it isn't for the international version.

Yeah I don't think such a kernel exists for the XL.

When it asks for what device you're on it doesn't have the HOX on the list.
What do I choose?

DON'T USE ROM MANAGER!!!!
There isn't an official clockwork mod recovery for our device. BAD THINGS will happen (like a BRICK) if you install a recovery this way.
Fair enough.
I've been using twrp. Thought I'd see what I can do with rom manager since it came with the cm9 rom.

eventually (probably when we get source) Koush will add the One X to the CWM family. When CM9 leaves alpha and also gets added officially as a CM9 device you'll be able to use it and update CM9 with it.
Does flashing a new ROM (cm10) replace my kernel? Just curious because I currently have BeastMode Kernel and i know it isn't compatible with CM10. Should I flash a stock kernel first? or will flashing the ROM replace the kernel anyway.
Flashing cm10 will automatically replace the kernel so your good man!

If you look in the clean Rom preview thread he has the stock kernel posted. I will add a link when I get home to his thread if you have trouble finding it.

You can also just backup your current kernel in TWRP recovery, and restore it if your new kernel doesn't work out. Select "backup" in recovery and checkmark "boot" to backup your kernel only.

Hey everyone I'm wondering if anyone tried the jellybam rom and how it compares to viperxl. If I'm looking for better battery life and Tweaks, which one in your own opinions is recommended for both?
Imo viper. But if you like aosp jellybam is the best if not one of the best

Try out Liquidsmooth if you're looking for a great AOSP rom. It's really good.

Just flash it and see for yourself. Asking what ROM is "better" is distasteful.
