Question about jellybam - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hey everyone I'm wondering if anyone tried the jellybam rom and how it compares to viperxl. If I'm looking for better battery life and Tweaks, which one in your own opinions is recommended for both?

Imo viper. But if you like aosp jellybam is the best if not one of the best

Try out Liquidsmooth if you're looking for a great AOSP rom. It's really good.

Just flash it and see for yourself. Asking what ROM is "better" is distasteful.

Stock ICS Android

Hi,
I wonder if it would be possible to have the stock Android ICS rom on your One S? I know you can make your own roms (like blackdragon (wich i'm using now) or leedroid or whatever you want. But I prefer a stock android without launchers . )
Is it possible to have the Stock Android on it? And how do you do that?
Thanks!
Look for AOSP / AOKP / CM9 ROMs, all these are stock android, AOSP is stock, The rest are stock with added options, tweaks, ect.
Have you tried AOKP? It's a stock-looking ROM, but with a ton more features.
Do any of these have the built in TMOUS WiFi calling yet?

All mods requires you to have an unlocked BL, and custom recovery, which requires root. Please read up more, and use the search function. that would help you a lot. Not a lot of people will be as nice to you if you ask this kinds of questions on a forum for folks with tinkered phones. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a personal attack, its more a warning for your sake.

Bruce2728 cm10 or RMS CMX R7?

Just wondering what you all use and why you choose it. I know the difference in their kernels but other than that why do you choose it. Thanks everyone!

I prefer AOKP actually, just because it has more tweaks than CM. theres a JB AOKP in the dev section, give it a shot if you havent already:good:
AOKP is a good way to go! Try frankinstine's!

CyanogenMod gets more frequent updates because of the larger user base rather than AOKP, and AOKP has a lot more tweaks to implement into the ROM
I use Bruce's CM10 with Dragunkernel.

How long have you been running it with dragun kernel?
Any issues?
I have been on that Rom for awhile now and never changed the kernel because I assumed the Rom would work best and if you flashed a different one it may break things

Sense camera on miui?

Can I copy the apk of sense camera to the system folder in miui rom?
Did anyone try it yet?
Sent from my Nexus S
I do believe that because they run different kernel aopk miui vs sence. It would not work at all. I've tried a few things like that. Make a back up. And try it for fun. I think sometimes I intentionally soft brick my phone so I can prove to myself I can fix it.

I'm actually running that leaked cam 4.2 on cm10 newest nightly, its as good as sense if not better IMO.

The sense camera is the thing that has kept me off aosp roms. Havent had a chance to flash the 4.2 camera but I hear great things

I first tried it on cleanrom v, I was sold when macro shots focused.
Seems to work a fraction better on sense but works on cm from everything I've thrown at it this morning.

I need to flash back to cm10 then. The kingkang Rohan built the other day is pretty wicked. So the new cm10 kernel is good to go on that? Awesome.

Sense and sense like features like the Cramer rely on sense framework not the kernel
If it doesn't have sense framework then nothing sense related will work on a different ROM

I stand corrected, it worked for a while then bugged out an started crashing using that on cm.

Guys, I just remembered i watched the review from onexroot.com, they did a comparison MIUI rom review between One X international and AT&T One X.
Correct me if im wrong, but I think one of the miui rom reviewed by them was in ICS and has sense camera!
Do you guys know which rom was that?

[Q] best rom for good battery and good performance

Ok im wanting to try to flash a rom again. Its been awhile that i've been using stock because i've had to replace my phone like 2 times already and i think it might've been cause of roms. But i want to try flashin a rom again. So i wanted to kno what u guys think is the best rom for good battery and good performance.
If you want to stay with the stock-look, threading sensation rom is a very good compromise between battery and performance. If you want android stock you can try bruce's cm10 or opensensation2

Can u link me to the rom and i just install it with all the defaults in setup?
I'm using a senseless rom called paranoid Android. I get excellent battery life, it's fast, smooth like butter and stable. It also has lots of customisation available. I use it as my daily rom. Do yourself a favor and try out several different roms because if you don't your selling yourself short. There could be something out there that's just perfect for you but you will never know unless you try. Do a nandroid backup and you can restore easily to your previous rom. But you really need not just take opnion. You should see for yourself because what one person likes, might not be for you. So I Highly suggest trying out several before you decide on what your going to use as you're daily rom. Do give paranoid Android a try. It's a great rom with active development! Remember it's all about what suits YOUR needs and you won't know what's available unless you try out different ones. This is solid advice. I do hope you take it. If not your selling yourself short. You really need to experience for yourself what's available. That's the fun part! I wish you the best. Happy flashing.
