I am trying to get back to official Jiayu ROM for G3 using CWM recovery but unable to. I was able to successfully install GThrill ROM and latest Lewa ROM found from this forum, both of them were good but had few issues like occasional crashing, bluetooth connectivity, etc. The main problem that I had was that encryption is not working in both the ROMs which I need for accessing official mail. Appreciate any instructions or references for getting back to original Jiayu ROM.
Thanks,
Adit

Hi All,
I own a Motorola Defy. I am kind of new to android developement. i had 2.2 on my phone and wanted to upgrade, followed all the steps available online for cyanogen 7.1, liquid arc, etc. with all the ROM's i had the same problem. Everything goes fine, until i reboot my phone. The moment i do that after installing new ROM. I loose network connectivity and a pop up msg comes up continously saying android.phone.com stopped responding. From there i have to do the complete wipe once again. i read in some forum about flashing radio, however i dont see this option in my recovery mode at all.
Anybody who knows how to resolve this????????
I looked this up in the forums. This applies to going from 2.1 to 2.2, but sounds like it may help you. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=947578
Thank you for the reply.
However, I was already running Froyo on my defy. I can also go back to that via RSD or by restoring it to the ROM i backedup before i started this testing. My concern is why i am not able to Install this custom ROM and make it working when all others can do it without any issues. I am still running Cyanogen nightly ROM (2.3.7). I also know the moment i restart my phone it will loose network connectivity and will keep getting those pop msgs. Is there a way to curb that.
Appreciate the help...
You can look for MIUI for the defy. I have also MIUI on my Defy and it works perfect
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
Thanks for your reply....
I was missing the defy baseband update. Thank fully that fixed the network connectivity issue. Now i am running ICS 4.0.1 perfectly. Except the camera everything is working smooth. Had little issue with restore from Titanum backup. But an unregistered version of TB fixed it.
Hey guys, i'm new to this forum so please forgive me if i posted this thread in the wrong section! So, got my jiayu g3 yesterday and i think i have already bricked it. It came with 4.0.4 stock ICS and I rooted it and installed a 4.1.2 jelly bean rom, however the rom didnt work at first it had the 'status 7' error so i deleted the lines from update-script and it updated fine but in settings it still showed 4.0.4.
now the internet wifi does not turn on, bluetooth doesn't turn on, however i still can use the cellular things but i think my Jiayu G3 is the new 'S501' and the rom i downloaded and tried to flash was 'S500' and that was the reason why it showed the status 7 error?
So guys, i need help!! i have tried everything, i cant do much as i don't have internet working on the phone. I have downloaded a S501 rom but i don't know how to install it without CWM(btw i don't have cwm atm even though i have root) and etc...maybe recovery? Any advice is appreciated!!!

Download a ROM for the new chipset, either the stock ICS one or a modded JB one. You can find both on needrom.
Hey guys,
First of all i'm a complete noob and second, this is my first post. I flashed my lg with cm 10.1 via cwm and i'm not pleased with it because i have no service. i saw that you have to go through a lot of hassle just to fix the radio or something like that so i decided to revert to the stock JB rom. My main problem is: since there is no LG software usb connection option in cm10.1, kdz nor lg support tool won't detect the phone and my only option is to flash a stock rom via cwm which i can't find.
Which is more convenient: to revert or to flash the radio? What should i do? Thanks in advance
Hi.
I´m pretty new to all this flashing and Custom ROM world.
I have been trying out several custom ROMs for my Optimus G E975, now I'm running OMNI taken from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2511730.
Everything is working out fine but I do want to try keeping trying out different ROMs for fun. This is where my problem starts, after I flashed OMNI i can't flash anything else. Everytime I try to flash another ROM in TWRP it says that the device name in the scrips don´t match my device name.
I can still flash OMNI again but that is the only ROM i have been able to flash again.
Is there anyone that can help me in the right direction into solving my problem with this? I would be really grateful!

I solved this by using adb to install the RomManager image (available at CWM's website). You can then flash whatever you like form there. The problem is that, for some reason, the TWRP that the OMNI guys are suggesting we use names the device geehrc, not e975. It is a bit annoying, but easily circumvented as long as you have access to a computer and adb.
Hi, I am new to this forum and I have been searching around to find out the answer for my problem but I couldn't :crying:
I have few questions/issues.
I have Galaxy S3 (GT-9300). I have brought in it New Zealand but it was unlocked phone. So when I did was installing the omega rom, I found out that the rom it had was the rom from one of the europe countries (I can't remember)
I was wondering if I can install any GT-9300 stock rom to get back to stock rom phone or do I somehow have to find out which stock rom it had before?
The other question is that I was trying to reinstall and update the omega rom from the scratch by going to stock rom then installing the latest omega rom. But my phone somehow won't connect to the PC, it charges properly and I know computer or cable 's problem. I have searched and searched on google but couldn't find any solution to resolve that. (Tried different versions of Kies, tried removing everything turning off the phone and restarting)
Because of that, I can't use Odin to change Roms or anything. Is there anything I can do to resolve this problem or changing Roms without connecting to the computer?
Currently, I have Omega v54.
Thanks so much
