Need help decompiling framework.jar - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

I'm trying to port a rom and in order to get it to boot I need to decompile framework.jar but I have no idea how to install apktool in order to do this, so how do you do it?
BTW I'm on Ubuntu 13.04, that's probably why it's difficult.

Good luck to you and I'm going to follow this thread. I'm trying my first port too. Haven't gotten as far as you though, so I'm no help yet.

And I used this to install gksu-nautilus (I think this is just for later versions of ubuntu)

[Q] how do you port a rom

i know this is the uber development place, but i have searched and googled, basic question, i see the i9000 roms, how, in simple terms, do you have a bot "build" the source for the infuse 4G, are their any instructions or a site that i can read up on this?
Thanks

No problemo dman. I think I may be getting some extra time on my hands and may be able to give back a little. Last time I tried a bunch of crap came up, but I think I'll be good this time.

This list already exists btw.. it's called: Hellraiser. Just sayin.
I know bro....was gonna give them a list of propietary files to port without using hellraiser...which is a wonderful rom bro...thanks

But again, just tearing apart hellraiser gives you the full list. ;-)

You can reinstall as many times as you want but there will be just one kernel.

Go to http://source.android.com/source/initializing.html you'll need ubuntu to build, but you can still keep windows by dual booting. Hell, you might even keep ubuntu cause it's very pretty. Well, anyway like I said, I was already building CM9, but didn't know how to target it out to the Blaze.

Okay for the sake of argument let's say your serious about this, let's call the first ROM X and the second one Y. If your running ROM X simply use something like ES File manager and delete ROM Y. If you want to run ROM Y then flash it and delete ROM X. Real simple oh and by the way read more just my two cents
