My advice read developer.android.com
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app

I actually followed that to build CM9 on ubuntu 12.XX but unfortunately, I did not know how to set the Blaze 4G as target...

So... about this.. newbish team.. lol.

Android can't be compiled in windows
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app

How can we compile then?
Willing to teach us the basics?

Erik is helping us out getting a stable ROM! And yall still asking for a free teacher haha.
Sent from my SGH-T769 using xda app-developers app

Virtual machines?
Sent from my SGH-T769 using xda app-developers app

Go to http://source.android.com/source/initializing.html you'll need ubuntu to build, but you can still keep windows by dual booting. Hell, you might even keep ubuntu cause it's very pretty. Well, anyway like I said, I was already building CM9, but didn't know how to target it out to the Blaze.

Is anyone actively working on roms?

I'm not trolling, and not being a smart ass. I see we have made great progress with the clockworkmod, and i know even getting that done was a feat in itself. Now that we have the tool, is anyone actually making any roms(not talking about stock roms with tweaks)? Thank you in advance for not being ****'s.
I'm also wondering the same

The BALI kernel is being worked on by Dr Honk, yes it's a kernel but if you look at the release notes for the vibrant it actually adds a lot. The same will happen for the SGS4G.

[Q] how do you port a rom

i know this is the uber development place, but i have searched and googled, basic question, i see the i9000 roms, how, in simple terms, do you have a bot "build" the source for the infuse 4G, are their any instructions or a site that i can read up on this?
Thanks
