My phone doesn't send text messages. I can call or receive calls and messages from people but not send messages. People say I need a new SIM card but I do not think that is it. Did not mess with my codings, my phone IS rooted, and is T-Moblie SGS 4G. Help?
Check your APN. If it's right get a new SIM.

system settings>more>Access Point Names
Google TMOB APN and see if they match. And google is a noobs best friend. lol

when ever i try to send a picture over MMS it says Originator Address Not Found. Ive tried sending it to a contact, to an email address, and to another cellphone, None have worked i always get the same message =[ What is wrong? And i can recieve picture messages, just not send them.
You might have better luck posting your issue in the CDMA forums since most of the VZW and sprint users are located there. this forum is mainly for us GSM guys.
As far as your current problem I would just walk into the VZW store and have them take a look at it. the feature might not be enabled on your account.
ok i have a very specific question. a friend of mine lives in canada. she has the unlimited text msging plan. that however does not include sms/mms from the USA. she can receive them at no charge but she can not send me a text without getting hit with a charge. i am assuming this is the same with MMS. i sent her an MMS (THROUGH MY MAC) and she was prompted with a screen that said she needs to activate email to sms for free. remember, this MMS came from my computer (yes in the states) so my question is this. If she replies to this message, will she get charged? The message, when she replies, goes straight to my email. will the system know that she is MMSing to a USA email. is it coming the message coming as a MMS or SMS? yes its showing on my mac, but i dunno if its considered a mms or sms. can someone help me out or point me in the right directions. im sure if i call them ill get a technologically illiterate who wont be able to answer, no offense to canada, just saying in general. thanks!!
I finally decided to install this app to see how well it works. I noticed when reading up about it that you have the ability to send a message to a phone number through this app.
How exactly does that work? Does it use the data connection (therefore not counting as an SMS message on your phone plan)?
I'm on the Verizon network and have unlimited messaging to other Verizon numbers, but only 500 messages to phones on other carriers. Before I used this app I wanted to make sure I understand how that was going to affect that number.
Can anyone clear this up for me?
i got a MyTouch 4G Slide and i live in Italy.
i got unlock code and phone is working really good since it support Euro band, WCDMA/GSM. But i cannot send sms
In messages->settings, SMSC (sms center) cannot be modified, tryed to change it via *#*#4636#*#* with PDU format of SMSC (i know for sure it's correct since i tried with an other Android phone with the same SIM), but still can't send sms
The only way to send sms is to set Custom SMSC in Go Sms Pro (since it support SMSC overriding)
But i don't like go sms since it's slow, and i hate to have a qwerty phone and cannot send sms normally
Can someone help me?

APN has nothing to do with SMSC, i'm talking about sms, not mms or data
btw, i just found that is a SIM card issue, i tryed it in an other phone, and i still can't send sms.
than i tryed my second SIM card on MyTouch 4G Slide and i can send sms, so it's a SIM issue (it's old and very scratched).
I just switched from iphone and i can barely group message. I had a group message back in iphone with my friends and now i cant send pictures in it. Its just a black boz what they see. I also have to implement the tmobile wifi calling fix on it even though i disabled wifi calling. I already set my mms settings to no data limit for stuff being sent, i cant change my apn, and i already sent my number to apple so i dont get imessages and i disabled imessage from my old phone. What do i do?

Are you unable to receive messages in general or just unable to receive MMS? Since you said you can disable wifi calling, I assume you have the T-Mobile variant and not the unlocked. Try redownloading the internet settings and make sure that your settings are correct in your Mobile Network Settings. Either way, you should contact T-Mobile to help configure your phone and resolve your problem. Customer service isn't that bad at T-Mobile.
If the problem is the app being unable to send group texts, you should try a different app like Google Messenger or Hangouts.
