when ever i try to send a picture over MMS it says Originator Address Not Found. Ive tried sending it to a contact, to an email address, and to another cellphone, None have worked i always get the same message =[ What is wrong? And i can recieve picture messages, just not send them.
You might have better luck posting your issue in the CDMA forums since most of the VZW and sprint users are located there. this forum is mainly for us GSM guys.
As far as your current problem I would just walk into the VZW store and have them take a look at it. the feature might not be enabled on your account.

I never send MMS and I actually find them annoying when I receive them and have always ignored them. However, recently my best friend had a baby (Im the godfather) so he has been sending me photos and videos through MMS.
Here is my issue with At&t. It appears every time he sends a MMS I have to go to some website, enter a msg ID, and finally a password. The most annoying thing is that I can hardly ever see the photo without pressing refresh and videos do not work!!!
What the hell am I doing wrong and why is it so damn annoying. I would like to just simply open his message and see the video why does it have to be so damn difficult. I am sure there is a solution whether it is paid or free. Will someone please. I searched MMS, MMS issues, MMS password and I receive a lot of information regarding Arcsoft, which basically allows you to compose MMS, I think?
bump, nobody knows a way around this? weird
You can normally tell At&T how you want to get your MMS. Go to a phone shop and ask them to change it.
I'm having a very strange problem with sending text messages to certain people on my Hero. I noticed people not getting my messages and just thought that maybe they weren't being sent at all.. Until I decided to look at the "details" of some of my sent messages. Instead of the name or number that I entered, it keeps sending certain text messages to this address "[email protected]". Now, I receive alerts from Bank of America from this address occasionally, but it is not in my address book at all, and even when I delete messages that I receive from them I still have this problem.
Then of course, since that is not a valid phone number or e-mail address, I get a delivery failure messages every time I send a text to that address. Anyone have any ideas why it keeps sending messages like this?? I have hard reset, and switched Heros a couple of times, and it still does this. I've tried using Handcent, still no luck. With Handcent, after I send certain people a text message, the title of the conversation is even the Bank of America address, and not the person's name!
Any help would be appreciated, this is driving me crazy!

oh yuck... wipe your phone dude... then update your PRL under settings (it's in there somewhere) and don't install any online banking apps untill that is fixed... that definately sounds like a bug
You may want to check this thread to see if this is what's happening. I think I'm getting something similar on my Droid Eris after receiving a text from an email client.
http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=1233
Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that there is a fix beyond hard resetting phone
And even more unfortunately, it looks like this issue goes back over a year with no resolution!!! Hope this isn't what I have to look forward to with an 'open source' operating system...
this is happening to me as well. I don't have any banking apps installed but I do get an SMS from my bank telling me when my paycheck has been deposited. ALot of my messages come in to this thread and there have been times that I thought I was responding to a person who had just messaged me who did not get my text. If I were to start from 'people' and find a contact and send a message from there, it will work.
btw, this is from handcent.
Thanks for the link, I had searched everywhere, I thought, without any luck. Just from reading the first post, that is exactly what happens to me. I'm gonna go finish all of the posts about it, thanks again!
Well, as you'll find out from the thread, the only real way to get your text messaging working properly again is to hard reset the phone. Bummer, I know.
You may try what I did, though, and use an app called MyBackup Pro (free 30-day trial) to backup some of your important items before you do the reset.
I backed up my settings/home/bookmarks and then separately my contacts. I didn't back up my apps, but chose to redownload them from the Market since they are listed in My Downloads. Then as soon as I reset my phone, I first re-installed as many of my apps as possible (including MyBackup of course), and THEN restored my settings and contacts.
I still had to reset the settings on some programs, but it definitely saved a bit of time.
And this may be random, but I experienced an issue after resetting where my phone would not dial out to anyone. Turns out, Verizon had to reset something on their end that got screwed up. You have to get to level 2 tech support to fix this.
Hope this helps...
I am having the same issues. Will try a hard reset and see if that helps. I have also disabled any texting services from B of A or Fbook or Twitter. Hopefully that will fix it. Thanks for the thread.
Hi guys:
I already searched for this in Google and what not, and I have tried some, but with no luck. Here's my situation:
I own an Unlocked Nokia X2-01 with a T-mobile SIM Card working. (I'm not prepaid, just with a expired contract).
I receive calls and make them nicely. I'm able to receive text messages and send, but, for some reason I can't make work the MMS messages since I can't receive them.
I tested already the proposed settings here, but I can't make them work since those are for other devices, not a Nokia X2-01.
How do I make MMS settings work with my device so I can receive mms?
If someone wants to drop a hint, thanks very much in advance! And sorry for any inconvenience.
Thanks!
Thanks anyway.
Still waiting for someone to share a hint. I already tried some configurations but they didn't work for me since those are for other devices.
Thanks in advance and i'll keep waiting. Thanks guys!
*BUMP THIS UP*
Anyone can share a hint? Thanks guys!
Got something working, partially...
Ok! Here's the thing. I've done more search and I've found a partial fix for the mms settings. I'll share the fix for the benefit of everyone.
I was a couple of days ago inside the t-mobile website. And I didnt notice a help section they have for "non-tmobile devices" (see the attached PDF file for specific details). I found this only thru their search option.
So, I took the phone. I went to the menu->settings->configuration->personal settings. And there I created an access point and a multimedia msg. settings with those tmobile provide in their site.
Inside access point I inserted the wap.voicestream.com address inside of the packet data access pt. option.
Then, I inserted the mms server address inside the multimedia messages personal setting.
Now, I activated both in my phone and I'm now able to receive picture messages. And, I just said picture messages. Now I have the problem of sending mms messages. When I try to send an mms for example, to an android phone of some relative they only see a little triangle with an exclamation mark in it. Just that, no photo.
There's where im at right now figuring out the sending of mms. If I make that work i'll post results. If anyone wants to drop a hint on sending mms, configuration, etc. Please do.
Thanks and i'll check back later.
When attempting to send a text msg to an email address (or reply to someone that has texted your [email protected]) Receiving "Service Not Available" msg. I couldn't find anything related in searching. I have added the correct APN information as well. No other issues, all other services functioning. Using the SIM card taken directly out of the HTC 10 where this worked. Note that you are prompted to enable it on the 10 but not on the 11. I have a ticket in to HTC but i'm pretty sure they are just going to give me that APN info again.
Thanks!
Have you sent yourself an mms?. Some carriers use it to activate the mms service as not all people want it or use it.
Only mms can be sent to emails so you must have the mms service active, you may need to contact your carrier if you dont and sending yourself an mms doesn't work.
thank you. just now saw your response as i'm having the same issue on the U12+. sadly HTC support was no help either saying they didn't think they added that dev into the phone. You would have thought receiving from others would activate it just the same, but i guess not. and who doesn't send pictures via text these days? LOL? i would think everyone is using MMS??
Since I swapped my sim into this T-Mobile branded Z Flip 3 I've been getting a "<Subject: NoSubject>" line on top off all my MMS. Getting it on group text on every text, since group texting uses MMS.
Was just wondering if I'm the only one getting this, since I didn't find this on my search?
man... I guess I'm to only one

I'm experiencing the EXACT same thing with my new Unlocked Z Fold 3 (that has a T-Mobile sim card installed). I've spent the last 90-minutes on the phone with T-Mobile support, and they are dumbfounded. Next they are going to reach out to Samsung. (If you do a Google search on this subject, you'll see that it goes back years on various Samsung models on the T-Mobile network.. I've not come across any posts that explain how it was ever fixed. Hopefully they'll find a solution for me, and I'll be sure to reply here, if so.)
As a work around, you could try installing a different messaging app from the Google Play store. I went with Textra. The Textra app does NOT display the "Subject: NoSubject" (even though the "Subject: NoSubject" is appearing in the exact same text message when viewed inside of the Samsung Message app.)
Honestly... without sounding bad, I'm at least happy it's not just me.
You can download Google Messages and it will fix that, but then you are giving Google all your text messages also. You also cannot use "text and call on other devices" with google messages.
I'm almost 100% sure that it has to do with their Messages application
This is the only thing I do not like about this phone. Hope TMobile can fix this asap
is "download automatically" turned on from the messages settings?
you should contact T-Mobile
Yeah, it's setup to download automatically.
I did contact T-mobile and they are aware of the issue
