EVOKED by Grogg
Hello Everyone!
Although I have long since removed my ROM due to lack of demand, I have had several requests for the release of my kernel which was exclusive to the ROM. This is long overdue for release, but I finally decided to toss it out there for those who wish to use it. I've been using it as a daily driver for some time and find it to be very stable. This kernel is based off SebastianFM's overclocked kernel, but incorporates many functions from Faux and showp1984, as well as my own changes. It is 100% compatible with Kernel Tuner (which is installed by default).
I will make no outlandish claims about this kernel. It's functional and stable, and I hope some people will be satisfied with it. It will not supercharge, turbocharge, or hypercharge your device. It will not help you get chicks, get a raise, grow hair, save the world, or anything else ridiculous. By downloading and flashing this kernel you are accepting the normal full liability of messing with your device!
This kernel is a throwback. I plan on adding a couple items, but there will be no long term support/updates...

Thanks ! I will test and give some feedback shortly.
Ahh finally you're back
I shared your 2.6 kernel for sometime after you removed it.. Now i cant wait to go back to your 3.0 kernel
Just one more request if it's not too much struggle
Can you add intellidemand governor (Imo this is the best ever governer for sensation heavy users)
Edit: it's working well on sense 4.1 roms.. Using it on viper rom
Only problem I've seen is the kernel is not cleaning the other previous kernel init.d scripts (we need to do it manually)
Better mention that in OP

-works flawless concerning all system stuff
-thermal doesn't work (sultan has fixed them)
Can I make some request:
-could u add faux driver for fauxsound
-can u add badass governor (nice freq tuning!!)
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e using xda premium
thanks for that. Grogg
I will look into adding a couple governers and Sultan's thermal fix. Those will be all the changes I'll make. This kernel is just kinda a throwback for everyone. I haven't worked on it in about six months...

Yes, I know. I implemented showp1984's thermald some time ago. It works fine for me too. However, I'll need to test with Viper ROM or have someone confirm validity of this post:

FAQ's
FAQ:
1) Do not use 3rd party init.d scripts! If you wish to use any ask in the thread. I will tell you if you can.
2) How to flash the Kernel?
A: Flash the zip via CWM ... duhhh! :victory:
3) Why only 4 governers ?
A: Too many Governers bloat the Kernel, many are quite similar.
Best Governer for Battery: Conservative
Best Governer for Performance: Smartass2 or Performance
4) Can you add support to turn off one cpu core?
A: You don't need to do it manually, Hotplug governer knows when to turn off one core.
5) Will you overclock more?
A: No, 1.2 Ghz is enough. We wan't stability and not problems.
6) I got X bug, I got Y bug.
A: I will fix it, recreate the problem and give me a logcat. Remember, it may take time and testing to fix a bug since I do not have the device.
7) Will this support CM in future?
A: Ofcourse! I will also be helping in CM development soon.
8) My phone does not enter deep sleep.
A: Some app is constantly waking up your phone.
9) DO NOT USE ANY SET CPU PROFILES! .
A note on How-to report bugs.
Great one buddy. Unfortunately over CM10. will b waiting for CM10 kernel. thanks again.:fingers-crossed:

@Adi_Pat: To make the kernel compatible with CM10, do the followings:
1. Implement vibrator fix. (https://github.com/epsylon3/android...mmit/720914d5009039d3ba9898361eea1ad8ab09d326)
2. Add raw KXTF9 accelerometer sensor. (https://raw.github.com/epsylon3/android_kernel_samsung_i9103/gingerbread/drivers/input/misc/kxtf9.c Put it into drivers/sensors, modify Makefile and KConfig accordingly and enable it in defconfig.)
3. Take the ramdisk.
You don't have to compile two different kernels for the two roms, only change the ramdisk. The kernel works quite well in hybrid mode with the modifications included.
Also, if you have time please include these patches into your kernel. I'd really appreciate them. Thanks!

Hi Ketan, Are you using Adi's kernel on miui rom? or CM10? was curious if it works fine on Paraj's miui rom.
Pandora KerneL
Pandora Kernel is a custom kernel which you can flash on the htc explorer for getting mind blowing performance with decent battery backup.
Code:
#include
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*
* Submitting bug reports on nightly builds is the leading
* cause of male impotence.

A few tips and “do not’s” for overclocking
Start SetCPU/NoFrills CPU Control app on your Pico (or any other app which supports overclocking) and allow root.
Now slowly increase the MAX slider to the right (one notch at a time) to increase the maximum frequency limit
Do not move to the last possible frequency or the maximum frequency at once ( just as a precaution, no worries )
Gradually keep increasing the frequency one notch at a time and do stability testing for few hours.

Colour controls. Cool
Thanks I will test this kernel the whole day tomorrow.
but first impression is that micro stutter with intelli plug is gone? How did you do that
With intelli plug on with faux kernels there was just too much micro stutter. Nice work man !
Hey there, does this kernel support wifi mac settings? (like if you edit /efs/wifi/macinfo.txt) - this is a kernel feature, but the stock samsung kernel does not support it. (simply ignores the macinfo.txt)
See this for more info:

Is SYNAPSE your own made app?
And BTW, Im using your kernel now 8 hours!
Usage: 8 Hours Standby and 1 hour and 23 minutes screen on time 82% left.
Intelli plug / Intellidemand / Row / Stock freq and voltages / PM suspend
AMAZING!
Only what I see is micro stutters with intelli plug.
Smooth as butter no lag
So far the smoothest experience I had with any kernel using default settings (Ondemand):good:
Will check battery life tonight and tomorrow, keep up the good work
Smoothingly Awesome...!!!
As of now I am getting great performance from kernel, looking forward to much more.

Please try Interactive governor instead, as it is updated with recent optimizations/fixes from codeaurora it should perform noticeable better.

No, also with interactive it has micro stutters.
MP decision : intellidemand/ interactive = NO MICRO STUTTER
Intelli plug : intellidemand/interactive = MICRO STUTTERS

Okay so here is my quick rundown.. i honestly cant use any kernel from the m4 rom because they do not support two features that InsertCoin needs to fix root on first start up... So i decided i was going to compile a kernel for the m4 and slowly work on each build.

Ok I'll give it a try
What do I expect?
Stability, battery, touch response improvements
nothing much different for now, as he said it's pretty much stock. Just a newer source and a base to start working on for him I guess .
For me as someone who's running pure stock 4.09.401 with only root + xposed on it, I say thank you! unsecure adb makes life easier when working on apps . The idea that the rest is untouched for now is only a plus for me.

i just flashed this kernel over my ic 3.0.7 boot.img and it boots up as normal but i noticed that at least 2 apps are "missing". in my case it is "threema" and some nova-launcher iconset. as soon as i flash back the old ic 3.0.7 boot.img all apps seem to be back.
isn't that kernel supposed to work with the ic 3.0.7 or am i doing something completely wrong?
thanks in advance and keep up that great work!

I prefer Faux123 Kernel Enhancement (aka Fauxclock) for lollipop as it seems to work the best, Kernel Adiuter is decent but lacks some options. Trickstermod is good but sometimes the settings don't stick/apply all the time.

I went with the free one for now (Kernel Adiuter), I'll update to Faux tool if it looks like I'll be tuning the kernel for the life of the phone.

Not until we get the rest of the variant source released by HTC. The stock dtb file which houses that info is currently 4.4mb and looks to be covering most if not all of the variants, but when compiling we can only get around a ~650kb file with the current released source thats available. so if I do so it will break support for all devices.

Just installed kernel and seems to be running fine so far. I bought Faux's KE.. gonna cap clocks at max 1248000/ min 384000 and see how that affects perf/battery. Recommendation on governor? Ondemand?
Thank you for your work on this!
Edit: Faux KE doesn't seem to be capping max clocks. Even after fix permissions and reboot.
not sure if this is where to ask
trying to compile - keep getting this
"Makefile:801: *** multiple target patterns. Stop."
defconfig issue? (used defconfig,sd_defconfig,msm*defconfig)
maybe my distro? (using arch, usually use gentoo)
using sabermod toolchain from their gitlab

yeah he needs to update the app to handle the cores and whatnot, kernel adiuter is able to downclock successfully.
