I am listing the known issues with Haykuro's magnificent magic port here as the original threads are getting too large for people to find stuff.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS FOR FAULT REPORTING ONLY - NOT QUESTIONS, NOT PRAISE FOR HAYKURO (THOUGH HE DESERVES IT) NOT INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO INSTALL. JUST FAULT REPORTING
OK shouting over, on with the list.
I will add any reported problems to the master list in the next post.
ok on the current build (the zip file known as real-signed.zip)
Missing
Android Market
Google Talk
Google Maps
G-Mail App (although G-mail available in Mail App).
YouTube App
Pdf Reader
Also backgrounds and ringtones have been removed by Haykuro to get the build size down.
Japanese support (may have been removed to get build size down).
Not working
Bluetooth
Wifi
autorotate and hardware keyboard closure support.
headphone port does not shut off speaker or play through headphones when they are plugged in.
Buggy
Video and camera are inverted and also colour on mine seems scrambled as if Red, Green & Blue values are switched.
(i have added a couple of pics below to show this - please note I rotated the camera pic for ease of vewing.
Some ALT keyboard combinations do not produce the correct on screen results. (Does someone want to do a definative list?)
Music Widget
As far as I'm aware, autorotate just doesn't work (ie: It's disabled).
also:
Headphones don't work.
Music widget is buggy
Chinese settings are still there (is it difficult to remove all traces, more an aesthetic thing really)
Hardware keyboard has wrong alt settings (Should be an easy fix, probably just a file needs replacing)
YouTube player missing
Closing the keyboard doesn't rotate screen back
Thanks guys - added.
PDFReader is missing as well

sorry can you clarify that, I ussume you are talking about the bootloader upgrade. You have tried this and it makes no changes and you still get the update notification.
Do i have that right. As i have been turning it down all day.
On the G1, connecting an auxiliary cable through a mini usb would allow you to play music in the car. Now, connecting the cable does nothing and music continues to play through the phone.
- random restarts / reboots
- long lag on boot screen / htc splash x2 for it to load home screen
- contact icons not showing up on favorite tabs
and this is random but really really COOL
when your calling a friend as it rings and rings, your phone VIBRATES when the other person picks up which i thought was cool lol.
if i find any other bugs i'll report good job guys
Bad news folks. So far Hello AIM, Hello IM and Paringo won't install
i dont know if this is a new change but when you hit the volume key the lowest it goes to vibrate, no way to put on silent unless you hold the red button. it isn't that big of a deal but thought i might mention.
Meebo works fine though
Shazam does not work...the website does not recognize the phone. I have not tried pushing it though will try later on and see. wifi tether installs just fine..of course wifi does not work as of now so cannot try it out.
Some applications that worked on 1.1 no longer work on 1.5.
e.g. fastbright, dxtop
Others won't install
e.g. moviefinder
The OS is very finicky now.
A few things I was able to find:
1.)Music Player widget sometimes will not update, and must be removed and readded.
2.)If you play music and sign into Gmail through the new mail program, and hit 'refresh' it sometimes crashes the phone sending it into a constant reboot loop.
3.)Reboot loop still present if phone crashes.
4.)Cannot install google apps using apkinstaller etc.
5.)Probably one of the most important for me personally... JAPANESE TEXT not included like it was in JF/T-Mo brews. Just shows the squares.
6.)As everyone knows, no WiFi/Bluetooth.
A couple of more things I've found:
1. browser bold font is fuzzy and not crisp, unlike rc33.
2. browser scrolling and panning is overall faster than rc33, but some sites like google reader actually scroll slower than rc33. So the browser seems to be still quite buggy.

I haven't had this kind of issue on my Nexus 5 - the only issue I had was (on a Note 3) after the big update, Hangout conversations were laggy in animations (upon sending a message, receiving or even opening the keyboard) and couldn't find a fix.
I don't know what's causing your issue but what I did on the Note to 'fix' it was uninstall the update. Maybe this will make it easier for you to use? The only problem I had with uninstalling the update was it doesn't include "merged conversations" but to most people this is no big deal.
Go into the Play Store > My Apps > Hangouts - and hit "Uninstall" and it'll drop the update. You won't get the fancy green box around your sent messages, (both incoming and outgoing) are grey, but this increases the performance.
Hope this helps.
thanks.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and nothing.
the program works smooth and fast everywhere else... no lags.
only when finding a contact
When I previously posted, I was on Stock 4.4.4. Last night I flashed CM11 and have been using Hangouts and I had the same lag issue I described + your contact search lag. I went into the settings for Hangouts and unchecked the option to display my Google Voice information and after a reboot, I see no lag issues for me.
Maybe this helps?
Attached screen shots for ya
thanks for trying to help, btu I dont have google voice, thus I dont have this option to uncheck.
It's actually really annoying me.
Yeah, most people don't have Google Voice - it was the last option to try. Are you using a launcher and/or have you changed (via Developer Settings) the animation scales?
Sometimes these could play an effect, but why it would only be affected when you search for a contact via Hangouts is beyond me.
*Update* I'm learning this might just be a flaw with the version of Hangouts because my has the same delay again now.
What's going on with notifications? They are showing up at completely random times on my Pixel. Just got a gmail notification from an email that arrived 3 hours ago. This has been happening constantly. I wake up in the morning, look at the phone, see no emails, then suddenly a bunch pop up. I thought it might be related to some sort of doze feature, but it's happening even when I've been using my phone quite regularly.
This is ridiculous. Never had this happen before.
I agree. It's gotta be doze.
I'm shocked this isn't a widely discussed topic. It's happening non-stop. I just missed an email fro 4 hours ago and I was even using my phone several times to make calls during that time, so it wasn't even idle.
WTF is going on?
I KNOW YOU SAID GMAIL APP
However, a LOT of apps are not updated for 7.1 so any number of old apps that control notifications in some way may be breaking things.
It sounds exactly like something is interfering with the ability of phone to check or deliver notifications on time. Like a faulty app making a request or insisting some loop then crashing finally and allowing notifications through.
I think Doze is interfering with SOME of my notifications, but my problems don't seem as severe as all of yours.
You can troubleshoot by removing old apps and testing if notifications are blocked, then add apps back 1 by 1.

i noticed this non stop until I disabled battery optimization for those applications (calendar, email, messenger, gmail, etc). Battery is still fine and I have zero issues with notifications

It would be *really* interesting to know exactly which app's (the full list? you disabled battery optimization on. Could you list them all in more detail?
I just disabled it on Calendar, Gmail, Messenger and I am still getting delayed notifications in Gmail!!!
This is a *BAD* problem, Google!
I know people who had this exact issue on the Nexus 6P. It made the phone *unusable*. The Pixel may not be quite as bad, but it's not acceptable to me.
I'm wondering if some of the other "Google Services" like all the "com.android...." app's or maybe some of the qualcomm, like com.qualcomm.fastdormancy maybe? I guess I can start trying them, but there are a lot, so if you know the key ones, it would help.
Thanks for any further info.
P.S.
Apparently this problem with Gmail is discussed here -- many have had this issue. Google should be ON THIS or they will lose customers:

Ok... I just installed Maildroid Pro and didn't see the problem with it, and coincidentally also received Gmail messages at the same time... even after uninstalling Maildroid, Gmail is still now showing notifications... but perhaps the delay is just still random. Like some component of the OS happens to be loaded right now or "not dozing" and so everything is fast... but time will tell if the delay comes back.
This really needs to be fully ironed out by Google. How can they release brand new devices that don't receive timely notifications?? Isn't that something "mission critical" that you would test? This is a major error by Google -- hope they fix it fast, but some people have been waiting for a year with their Nexus devices and apparently it's still not fixed, even on 7.1.1.
Happens on my 6p too. Definitely a 7.1 issue

Most likely an individual application problem. It's not the phone or it would affect all apps.
I get timely notifications for text, calendar, and Keep. I don't use notifications for email so cannot comment on that.
It does look like perhaps turning off the battery optimization for Gmail may have fixed this? Either that or my phone just hasn't yet had time to go into "deep doze" vs. lighter doze. I'll be watching during my 15 day potential refund period . Other than this issue, there are maybe a few minor tweaks that would be nice, but it's otherwise an amazing phone so I want to keep it!
Notifications on the Pixel phone are pure garbage IMO. Half the time I don't get one really. Either the LED light does not light up or Ambient display does nothing. Love everything about this phone except notifications. I am almost thinking about switching to the Oneplus 3T because of this...I hope Google is aware how crappy they are on this phone....
As a member pointed out, it's not the phone but something in 7.1. So no point saying u will return the phone. On my OP3 also i had delays in notification using cm14. So ya it's probably something software related and can be fixed easily.
Hmm weird that I'm not seeing this issues. If Gmail is giving your the issue use another email client?

My post there:
I'm actually a Pixel (Android 7.1) owner now (never mind my user name). I've had the notification delay issue too -- mainly on Gmail. I disabled battery optimization and that seemed to have helped some during the day when I use my phone from time to time. What I noticed is that after leaving it sitting at night (tho' still plugged in) it seemed to have entered "deep doze" perhaps (tho' it's not supposed to while plugged in, if I understand that correctly). At any rate, it missed a Gmail notification in the early morning, but then after "waking up" the phone it seems to have been acting normally through the rest of the day.
I have a Galaxy S7 that I was using as a test comparison. It's on Android 6.X (Marshmallow -- also supposed to have doze) and it got an email notification no problem this morning when the Pixel failed.
Google really needs to listen to this and fix it!!! Professional business users cannot afford to miss email notifications!!!
The problem is also on 7.1.1 not just 7.1
Gmail gave me sync issues (and therefore delayed notifications) on my g4 with 6.0 once. Couldn't get it to work until I wiped the data for it.
On pixel, you also need to be sure the data saver option isn't the culprit. Either turn it off, or make Gmail an exception. That option will cause delayed notifications for nearly any app, as it won't be syncing hardly at all on mobile networks.
Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Unrestricted data usage (i.e. no data saver) and background data are both set to "on" for Gmail in my Pixel (7.1)... battery optimization is also turned off.
I now believe the problem is associated with "deep doze". I appear to get Gmail notifications ok during the day, but if the phone sits idle overnight, then by the morning I will NOT receive Gmail notifications until the phone has been woken up. I actually have to manually check / refresh Gmail and then after that it appears to be "awake."
This problem is really serious -- very unprofessional to not have timely notifications in a "professional" device / OS. Android / Google teams need to escalate this. I've seen reports since way back in 2015 on Nexuses.. some people have pounded Google w/ requests for over a year and this is still not fixed yet!!!
There must be a way to fully disable "deep doze" for an app and all related services required for its operation.
This tempts me to consider delving into AOSP and cooking up a ROM which would give total control over doze and anything else needed to make the phone actually *work*.
so at the people who got problems... do you marked the app that are effected in the settings/battery opt-out for the battery improving option in standby so they can stay connect for push?

I have delayed gmails on my xperia z3. Always have. If you want an instant message, use an instant message client. Emails are seen as something you can wait for, to save battery life. Obviously if you are also having delays on Facebook Messenger etc then you have some other problem.

That's hardly a solution. That doesn't fly in the business world, nor do I would I want companies and clients messaging me on a bunch of random instant message apps.

In the "business world" - that is, on my work pc - my emails arrive immediately. But i'm not using gmail on my phone. You probably want something a little more robust if you're going to rely on emails turning up immediately. They were never designed to be instant, or secure.
Hi everyone.
My wife has an S8 and recently she has noticed that she hasn't been receiving notification on Facebook messenger.
Me thinking it was an easy problem to solve went into the phone setting clicked on notifications and found that the notifications for the app were all on how they should be.
Then I went into the app settings and checked there and everything was right.
Then I restarted the phone and it still wouldn't work.
Then I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still no success
I even got my phone out an S7E and checked how the settings should look on mine and hers matched my settings.
All her other apps are working except this one.
Am I missing something here, because it doesn't make any sense why it's not working. I performed a stock flash on the device about a month ago to 3 software, so she could have wifi calling but I don't see how this could of affected this one app and none of the others.
If anyone has any suggestions here I am all ears because I am out of ideas.
Make sure that it's not being forced close by the S8's onboard memory manager... sometimes it shuts down apps and you won't get notifications. Double check in the battery settings (you can get there from settings or the swipe panel) to see if the Messenger app itself is active.

Hi people, I seem to have solved the problem.
I followed the suggestion and went to the battery setting. In those setting there was an option for unmonitored and monitored apps. When checking the list of apps that were in these setting everything was right, including the messenger app in unmonitered app section. I removed it from that list and didn't bother adding it back.
Tested.........and it worked....I even got other people to message her in different situtations and it worked and still works.....not added it back in to the list yet, as long as it keeps working I prob won't
I'm having some issues with notifications on this phone. It often just doesn't notify me at all!
Sometimes I go into whatsapp and there are new messages but no notification in the top bar at all. Additionally, I have 2 smart watches (a pebble one and a cheap chinese one) and these both work for showing notifications but only for about an hour after installing the app, after that, nothing until I reinstall the specific app. I have told the phone not to optimise battery for the smart watch apps but it made no difference. I've had this happen with text messages, whatsapp, gmail and ring. It seems that this phone just has a real issue with notifications! Has anyone else experianced this sort of thing?
I hope there is a fix because it's basically unusable if it doesn't even let me know when important stuff has happened (like someone at my front door for instance!!).
go to settings and type in search optiflex, you can set up to I think 10 apps that will always run in background, Im having there all IM apps and some I want to get notifications from (no need for gmail, that works always)

I've got this problem with lesser used apps like those with live match scores.
Interesting, I've had this issue with my Note 4, budget galaxy phone (can't recall exact model), ZTE zmax 2. and ZTE Blade Spark. I assume it's just a matter of dealing with ram management. I've had a hard time finding another person with this issue.
Did any one come up with a fix for this? I suspected it was related to aggressive battery optimization, but even when the app is not optimised I'm not getting notifications through.
No problems with notifications... Optiflex disabled, all apps that you want to get notifications from must be white listed from "autostart manager" (or something like that, mine is in Spanish)
Probably phone configuration error.
No problems with notifications at all.
I do not use PowerMaster, but I use OptiFlex.

Yes, go to battery settings>powermaster>auto-start manager>allow all apps to start automatically (or select individual apps to whitelist). Also allow newly installed apps to start automatically as well.

Hey, I have had the ZenFone 6 for about 3 weeks and I must say that I think I wasted my money. Im having the same issues with notifications but more so with RING and WHATSAPP. I have tried all solutions that everyone has come up with and it seems as it its not 100% working. If you dont mind me asking, could it be the network that we are using? I dont want to believe that is it, but I wish I knew the reason for this cause.
