Verizon: Get rid of contracts for wireless service
Petition by: Mike Beauchamp, Wichita, KS

This will never work.
This is just one of many ways that Verizon makes money. Verizon does offer prepaid...

Verizon would jump on that to take away everyone's unlimited data plans lol

There's nothing wrong with service contracts. I like Verizon when I travel i don't have to worry about not having service in any part of the States. I'll pay for the coverage that no others give.

Partition? Lol. I love VZW's service, anywhere I've gone in the U.S., MN, ND, SD, TN, IA, my service is flawless, even in sparsely populated areas. When T-Mobile and similar carriers can offer the same coverage, they'll have my attention, until then though, I'll just get an unlimited amount of the quality I pay for...

I have Page Plus, which is one of the few MVNO's to use Verizon towers, and have yet to not have service. I've been all over the country for the last year, coast to coast. I pay $28.50 a month after the callingmart discount, and get 1200 minutes, 3000 texts, 250mb of data. I use email, navigation, and opera mini web browsing (compresses everything), and 250mb gets me through the month. of course, you can have unlimited voice and text for $38 -always use callingmart, it is 5% off every month.
I used to have Verizon, but got out of my contract, which was costing me over $100 a month. So, i am saving close to $1000 a year doing this, which can go toward more important things, like hookers and cocaine 8-]
Doesn't Verizon already have a separate "partition" for prepaid? And isn't it crazy how 3G has become the po' man's preferred network over the last few years? I supposed if I streamed more HD video on the go, I would be dying for 4g and more data, but I only watch movies and stuff at home! When I'm out of the house, I am mainly working or socializing. To each their own, of course.

I will say this much on their coverage. I went to Hawaii last year and was able to get 4g. If that tells you anything about their coverage then you know its huge. Still though you can get Verizon off contract with their prepaid service which is what they will tell you. Also, once your two years is up you are technically off contract.

Yes, after a customer's contract date has passed, they are just month to month on the terms of their former contract. Prior to signing up for the unlimited data plan, I was off contract with VZW for several years clinging to a discontinued plan of theirs. I have no issue doing the same again, but am disappointed by the current smartphone crop VZW carries. No N4 or HTC one has had me looking around, but I'll likely stay, I've been with VZW for over 10 years and consume an obscene amount of data.

I'm betting that HTC has a better version of the one coming out instead. Likely it is the dna 2. As for the n4, who cares? It is 3g only and the n5 should he coming out soon. Hopefully they get it but I'm doubting it since the Google devices receive all their updates from Google and not through the carrier which Verizon doesn't like.
Sent from my HTC Thunderbolt using Tapatalk 2

there's always something new coming out. but seems Verizon's versions seems to lag behind the other carriers phones. I wouldn't mind seeing a nexus device but Verizon shot themselves in the foot on that one with the gnex. I have thought about the s3 and the note 2. the size of the note puts me off and I'm 6'3" which should be perfect for me. we all look for that holy grail of cellphones but most never finds it.

Yep. Indeed, n4 is 3G only. Honestly, I like HTC build quality, and am not completely averse to moto either for the same reason. The upcoming moto devices are exciting, as is the HTC one, I hope some variants of those reach VZW. I would switch carriers to obtain an HTC made nexus though, if ever there's another one in the future.

I am shocked in Google owning moto that they dont make all nexus devices.

VZW has gotten so bloated and complacent, at this point I doubt they'd do anything in their customers' best interest.
They might introduce a "no contract" plan, but it would be more expensive and less useful than other options.

AT&T Buying T-Mobile.

http://www.engadget.com/2011/03/20/atandt-agrees-to-buy-t-mobile-from-deutsche-telekom/
Looks like I'm going to Verizon or sprint. Anything but at&t they always drop calls.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA Premium App
The network will actually be stronger because of the takeover but what I do foresee is a lack of our current freedom that T-Mobile provides us with its data plan, AT&T clearly likes to limit its customers' options to 2GB and furthermore AT&T seems to going the way Verizon has and invested heavily in LTE technology as opposed to T-Mobile's HSPA+ which leaves us MT4G users dead in the water. I have heard that AT&T was seeking to expand its current HSPA+ network but I'm not exactly sure by how much and whether it runs off of the same bands as the T-Mobile HSPA+ network since their current 3G networks are on different bands.
I am interested to see if they will change their outlook on the way they handle business. BUT IT LOOKS LIKE I MIGHT GO BACK TO SPRINT
Yeah this most likely means sprint for me.
So what's the best android phone coming out soon for Sprint?

Here is at&t trying to become a monopoly again. Most of us left at&t cause of the crap service now we are back. I can't believe it I rather have sprint actually buy T-Mobile then at&t.

"Welcome to T-AT&T. How may we give it to you?"
Yes, I'd like an order of 5 year contracts and a side of carrier specific manufacturers. And a medium "iPhone to T-Mobile" to drink, with extra irony.
"Great and how did you want to pay, first-born or second mortgage?"
Wow you beat me to it lol

Well, I am absolutely not in shock. I work corporate so i had knowledge of talks..but i was under impression we were doing spectrum agreements. Not this bullsh*t. I am NOT happy as I DO work for AT&T but...I know our strictness when it comes to Data Tiering and deposit structuring, etc.
On the network side it will be an advantage as far as coverage goes..but this is bad news for pricing and customer retention..
I anticipate a customer drop the 1st 3 months this is finalized.

calm down people...we have no idea the details of the merger...no idea how or when it will effect us...and for the most part people that already on tmobile cell and data plans will be grandfathered into whatever they have now
now...i will say im not happy with this news...i was an att customer for over 7 years way back when and i dont want to be one now...but being i just signed a 2 year contract again to get my new phones...im stuck...but im not going nuts yet until i hear what the merger means
EDIT: i just read that the deal still has to be approved by the gov't and will take up to a year for the merger to actually be fully implemented http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2382267,00.asp

How will we be left hanging? Even with the buyout, AT&T will be forced to grandfather all of us and our existing contracts. If we are forced to change anything (plan, device, etc) it would be a violation of contract and we would have an out without penalty. Those of us without a contract have the potential to get screwed sooner. But if that happens, just leave since you don't have a contract anyways.

T-Mobile is still building their network, I know this because I am involved in the build.

IMO, the best thing to do is get a new TMO contract locked in for 2 years, so your contract will be stable even if AT&T was to take over tomorrow.

I just jumped ship from TMO. I was on flex pay with no contract with two lines. Sprint gave me $125 credit for each line just for porting my numbers to them. Then on top of that I said I worked at costco and got 23% off my monthly bill. Plus they will give me a free home airwave which is a signal booster/free wifi calling AP. and with the GV integration any call you make is considered mobile to mobile and doesnt deduct from your minutes(if not on unlimited plan)
Sprint's 4g coverage in my area is pretty strong as well.
so for $120(after the 23% rebate) I get 1500 anytime minutes, unlimited texting and 4g on both lines nights and weekends (nights start at 7) truly unlimited data, free mobile to mobile calling on any carrier plus the GV intergration which every call is like mobile to mobile and the free airwave for my house. I couldnt resist I just got the evo 3d but have 30 days and might return it if the GS2 comes out by then and if it's any good

I agree! I Never had any service problem whatsoever. Even if the buyout doesn't happen and T-mobile decided to close their doors, it would not happen for at least 2-3 years as they have binding agreements to provide service to millions of customers. Even that scenario is unlikely considering T-mobile stands to gain $6 billion and a percentage of atat spectrum in the event negotiations go south. There is also reason to doubt what some call ''the inevitable'' based on T-mobile's recent swarm of high end devices, price plan adjustments and advertising. T-mobile has never made as much noise throughout its lifetime in the U.S. as it has within the last 7 months.
Have fun with the dropped calls.

Who shops at Radio Shack? only old people looking for rare batteries for their cordless phone from 1994. This move doesn't affect T-Mobile in the slightest just shows that Radio Shack is struggling. T-Mobile by far has the best signal strength in my area. Sprint sucks you will get dropped calls several times a day. Not to mention you can't talk on the phone and surf the web at the same time....
T-mobile's been solid for me and i can honestly say I have had every major carrier available in the Chicago area in the past few years. Sprint is a close second but their 4G was spotty and while traveling it was almost at 3g speeds.
Were fine, were in contracts (most of us) and if AT&T takes over and tries to change it, itll be an easy way for us to get another new shiny phone from another carrier
AT&T does have the ****test service though, I had a 3GS for 6 months never had so many damn dropped calls. There was 2 city blocks by me I had to avoid when I was on the phone cause it was a dead zone lol while every other carrier had signal there fine
Back when I had my HD2, my tmobile connection was questionable. But since getting and HTC Sensation 4G I haven't dropped a single call yet. The Antenna Design in the Sensation is definitely above the rest. The only thing I don't like is the new data caps on high speed access. I am on 5 GB plan. I called tmobile to ask what do they mean by reduced data speed after I used up my quota and they basically said I would be on edge til the end of the month. Not very cool, but better than paying overages.
Well It's nice to have more than one spot to buy your phone local. Considering where i live best buy mobile don't carry T-Mobile now radioshack won't . I'm down to two places the mall where it's impossible to get a phone before they sell out or walmart. So to some radioshack ain't a big deal but too me it is, i got several phones from them and if it wasn't for them i wouldn't have got this sensation when it released. The mall sold out in a hour and so did walmart.

I don't buy phones in the store, I use Wirefly or letstalk and save the cash.
Sony Xperia X1i
HTC HD2
HTC Sensation 4G
I bought all of them off ebay with no contract.
I have never had any problems with bad phones from ebay.
These days sellers are pretty honest if there is a problem.
Sensations are going for about $400 each now on Ebay
Many of the phones on Ebay are New in Box too.
I still don't understand why people still think they need to purchase from a retail store. You are better off especially with the Tmobile merger coming up, to buy a phone outright, then get a month to month plan. That way if the network goes to ****, you can switch with no termination fees.

Verizon or Sprint

Here's my dilemma. My Sprint contract is up next month & I'm 99% determined to switch from my Epig 4G to the GS3. My coverage with Sprint is, shall we say, lacking. Nevermind the fact that I was told 4G would be in my area (Omaha, NE) "soon" when I purchased my Epic. Needless to say, 2 years later, still no 4G. Called Sprint yesterday & was told LTE would be in my area "soon", which provided me with a nice laugh to share with the Sprint rep. On the flipside for Sprint, they don't lock the bootloader or block Google Wallet, from what I understand.
VZW should provide much better service, however, they lock the bootloader & block Wallet. I'm afraid to learn what other items they have deemed me too irresponsible to handle.
To avoid this turning in to a fanboy thread, I guess my real question is, how likely (and timely) is it that someone will figure out how to unlock the bootloader? I'm also assuming that if/when that happens, flashing a ROM that will support Google Wallet will become much easier.
Advice?
I was in the EXACT same boat as you about 3 weeks ago. I pulled the trigger and went to Verizon! I will tell you service wise it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Don't get me wrong Sprint has wonderful phones, unlocked bootloaders, Google Wallet, etc... But what's the sense in having tons of ROMS to flash including AOSP if you don't have the network/service to use it... pointless in my opinion. With Verizon I have service everywhere I go! The only downfall is the locked bootloader and google wallet so far. If you're as frustrated as I was with Sprints service I would make the switch you will be extremely pleased!
Since it sounds like you want 4G check the Verizon Coverage map of your area to see if Verizon has coverage of your area. For the bootloader and Wallet problem people have already gotten wallet working on rooted stock roms and I'm pretty sure CM10 works with Wallet too. The bootloader is being investigated by AdamOutler and many others who have made great progress in the R&D Thread but don't make a post in there unless you have something to provide to help them otherwise your post will be deleted since it's a heavily moderated thread. For the question on when the bootloader will be unlocked only time can tell but we have the Kexec method which allows ROMs like AOKP and CM9 and CM10 and Paranoid.
I would say just gaining 4G is a good reason to switch. The G3 is fast enough for stock and working well for me. custom ROM, unlocked bootloader, etc... are just bonus. Another thing to look forward to is Jelly Bean, once we have Jelly been and a 4G network...Verizon rules the Air.
Bootloader aside, You will get [email protected] on data usage, I'd stay away from Verizon until their prices come down.

Telling somebody not to sign up with Verizon because they are too expensive is rather moronic really.
If you want good service, you really have no other choice than to go with VZ and waiting for their prices to "go down" is not going to happen in our lifetimes......
Buy the phone outright off CL or eBay and go month to month with the carrier of your choice.
If you go Verizon, you will pay a premium for good network coverage, 4g and the privilege of *****ing about Verizon's bootloader policies ...

I was in the exact situation, except I also had an original Sero500 plan which ran me $50 per month. Had the Evo 4G, marginal at best service, and a 2 year promise of 4G coming soon and still no 4G anywhere close. I went to Verizon and the GS3 and haven't looked back. Service is much better, LTE is ridiculously blazing compared to Sprints network, and the locked bootloader is less of an issue with kexec. Development still may suffer ultimately though. All I can say is that I'm very happy with my decision.

What amuses me is 999 out of 1000 Verizon customers have never heard of a "locked boot loader" and could care less what it means anyway.

Very good points, that pretty much confirm what I was already thinking - if the service sucks, it doesn't do much good to have a killer phone.
Although I have a very vague idea of what a locked bootloader is, and why it's detrimental to dev, I'd still (almost) consider myself one of those "999" people. Couldn't have told you anything about it 2 weeks ago.
Getting hosed on data usage doesn't concern me too much really. Looking at my history, assuming Sprint's tools are accurate, I rarely go over 2GB per month between me & the wife. If I'm doing my math correctly, the cost of a 2GB share plan on VZW will be about the same as what I'm currently paying with Sprint. Even if I factor in the 'holy crap the service is so much better I'm using twice as much' factor, I'd still be in the same financial ballpark.
Google Wallet definitely isn't a deal breaker. The VZW rep I was chatting with the other day flat out told me that they don't allow Wallet because they're working on an in-house pymt solution, ISIS.
I think a big part of it is, the thought of giving my money to a company that wants to control how I use my OWN phone just pi$$es me off. Even if I never flash a ROM on the thing - like that's really going to happen.
And my slow a$$ Sprint data was ticking me off so much this afternoon that I almost said screw the last month & $50ETF and switched on the way home. Who knows, I may yet switch this weekend anyway.
Thanks for all the advice. XDA community has never let me down.

Dude, I just made this decision the other day. I have been with Sprint for 12 years (the last 2 phones were the EVO & Photon). Sprint coverage in my area SUCKS and I am in the Los Angeles area. I asked them when 4G LTE would be here and was told early to mid 2013. That was enough. I bought the SGSIII on Verizon (Shared Everything 6GB for $108 a month. Wife has a corporate discount). I am getting speeds of 40mbps Down & 19mbps Up This alone is worth it to me. I bought the SGSIII on Tuesday and I am already Rooted & using Synergey ROM with Free Hotspot and I could not be happier. The little extra I pay for Solid Network Coverage is totally worth it. Don't think twice, JUST DO IT.

Buy the phone outright off CL or eBay and go month to month with the carrier of your choice.
If you go Verizon, you will pay a premium for good network coverage, 4g and the privilege of *****ing about Verizon's bootloader policies ...

Unfortunately, Verizon doesn't allow the creation of month-to-month accounts for new customers. You have to start with a contract.

That is only if you get a phone from VZ at the upgrade price.

(OFF TOPIC) Verizon customer switching to AT&T.

Thinking of switching family over to AT&T. For one thing,to follow the new HTC one the is going to be released soon. And another is my monthly bill. Question is....how is the service compared to Verizon? I live in the sandhills of NC, near Fort Bragg.

From what I've been through (only 14), when I go to buy a new phone the employees at the att stores are really nice. (San Antonio)

I'm on AT&T, 5 lines, 4 smartphones. On the 700 minute plan all 250mb data plan was around $260 a month. Now we're on the mobile share 4gb and it's $300. The switch was due to lines going over data and adding charges. If you don't use data a lot, don't go with mobile share. Service is very reliable here in NJ. If anything, customer service is superb.

In Houston/Galveston area in tx, love my AT&T service...no probs at all. Came from T-Mobile, pay a bit more but totally worth it. They don't support their phones update wise too well, but that's why we got XDA right?! I'd jump ship from big red

I'm in the Houston area as well (so this may not help you for NC as much), but the coverage here is much better than T-Mobile. Talking with friends, it seemed like Verizon does have slightly better coverage (usually outside the city at retreat sites, camping sites, etc.), but in the end I would have ended up paying about 30 dollars more for a slightly better plan on Verizon that I wouldn't take advantage of (unlimited talk mostly, whereas I currently have 1 line, 400 anytime+rollover, 5000 nights and weekends, 3GB data and never come close to my minutes limit).
To be fair, the One X isn't available on Verizon, so with the exception of Rogers/Telstra customers, almost all of us are on AT&T, so there may be a little bias. Not that we all LOVE AT&T, but we're at least satisfied enough to stay (e.g., there aren't any major issues).
I'm in the San Antonio area. Coverage is great. But nexus 4 doesn't support LTE my hox did, but with 200 MB a month I always just used HSPA+

Just left Verizon and have zero complaints. Costs the same per month but better value plans. Zero problem with services either... Plus... GSM is the way to go with the Nexus devices in the future.

I left Verizon for AT&T when the iPhone 3G came out and haven't looked back.
AT&T can be annoying at times, but when it comes to bloat and lockdowns, Verizon has always been a lot worse. Verzion has in the past tried to send updates that locked your phone if it detected root access.
Not going to lie, I think Verizon has better customer service and reception/speeds. But it's also highly localized. In SoCal, Verizon is assumed to be the best. I've heard in NYC AT&T is the best so it's probably best to see what those in your home town think.
As far as customer service, I'm not a fan of AT&T but they aren't as terrible as they are made out to be. But then again I've never had problems that required much service.
And for what it's worth, I'm not a fanboy on any service/phone/OS. I've had Sprint, tmobile, AT&T and verizon over the last 6 or 7 years in L.A. and overall I would probably rank at&t 3rd or 4th here. That being said I'm mostly satisfied with what I have. I'm on wifi more than LTE and let's face it, most of us aren't using voice calls as much now as 5-10 years ago.
I'm in the western part of NC and have zero problems with AT&T service

Verizon's customer service was indeed pretty good. My beef was the corporate attitude toward their customers, which was "You'll take our bloatware infested, locked down devices and like it because we're Verizon."
AT&T still locks things down, but doesn't seem to care that much if you root and unlock (e.g., plenty of people have gotten warranty replacements despite having bricked via flashing the wrong stuff). Verizon has a history of actively trying to stop people being from being rooted.
Also live in Houston and LTE is phenomenal. Now I work in Odessa and as long as your close to the Midland/Odessa area, you can get reliable 3G coverage (3-7Mbps down) . As soon as you start to move out towards the boonies and their supposed 2G coverage area, this is where Verizon outshines AT&T.
I work in the oil field sector and most of the time when we're at a remote location in West Texas, the only ones who normally have consistent coverage are Verizon customers. Too bad their selection of android devices are horrid.

Who's jumping ship after their contract is up?

I have to say, after 8 years with VZW, I'm finally throwing in the towel and moving onto another network who actually respects their customers. With the lack of updates and feature support to their tiered data plans, it just doesn't seem logical from a consumers perspective to stay with a company that's hell bent on invading your privacy while offering little to nothing in return. If you're in the same boat, what network are you planning on joining and why?
I really wanted to go to t-mobile so I can cut my bill in half with them but they don't have lte where I live yet and their 4g does not penetrate my work area. I just preordered my gs4 with verizon and its the last phone I will have with them unless they give us our early upgrades back and also let us upgrade from our unlimited data lines. For now I am very satisfied with their service but my days with them are definetly numbered

I've only had Verizon now for about 9 months, and I've been regretting getting it since about 3 months in when I realized that you can pretty much only use these phones on Verizon (I've seen threads where they use them on other carriers, but it looks really complicated). Not to mention I pay roughly $55/ month just for data alone, which is just 1 GB. I dont even want to get started on how stupid that tiered data is--I know it makes them money, but I also know it doesnt cost them nearly as much as what they charge for it. I will most likely cancel my contract as soon as I get some cash to get out of it. As far as 4G is concerned, its nice to have and all, but it seems to just blow through my whole 1 GB of data in no time flat. Not to mention I use maybe 50 minutes of talking/ month, and about the same text messages. I only got Verizon so I could have a fancy phone, and I got that, and now I'm seriously paying for it. If I could get this bastard to work on Straight Talk I would be set, but I'm pretty sure the easiest way is to buy a TMo or ATT variant (you know, unless someone has a tip they would like to share )
TL;DR
**** Verizon, and I'm totally jumping ship ASAP
Would like to change, but stuck with Verizon in Upstate NY. AT&T is EDGE speeds at best outside the cities. Most houses act like Faraday cages and since I am on call I need voice and data to work almost all the time. AT&T would constantly drop calls. Sprint isn't bad for voice, but high speed data is lacking in most of the boonies. T-mobile is like AT&T (but worse).
So yeah, I'm rocking a $230/mo family plan for 4 smartphones, a dumbphone, and a measly 4GB of data a month (that is with a 21% corp discount).
Woohoo!!!
There are lots of reasons to hate VZW, but there is one reason to love them: Network coverage. A few months ago I was in ruralish Virginia, and I had 4gLTE. Those towers don't pay for themselves...

Ummmm , I've never had a problem with Verizon and I can say that they most definitely do respect their customers . I have mostly positive things to say regarding my total experience with Verizon.
Well I was able to email the President of the Southwest Region of SoCal, got the network extender (cause my base has no coverage for any cell phone service) for free. And everywhere I go I at least got coverage. I've wanted to jump ship for quite sometime
Verizon = bad, others = WORSE!
I rate 'em like this, on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best:
VZW = -2
T-Mo = -1.5 (slightly better CS but poor coverage)
AT&T = -6,593,865,432
Sprint = Will they be in business tomorrow?
NOTE, all carriers suck, nobody even rates a zero and I'm in a really good mood so I rated AT&T's "We don't care" CS and "Oops, we dropped your call" network much higher than they really deserve.
I'm sticking with VZW.
I have mostly positive experiences with Verizon and with Sprint but I had bad experiences with T-Mobile and AT&T. With t-mobile it was mainly bad cell coverage while AT&T it was customer service.
I pay 55$ a month. 2gb internet, unlimited calls to cellphones , 500 landline minutes (unlimited on weekends and weekday nights I think) unlimited texting, 4g is good here in Houston. I've been thinking when my contract is up, T-Mobile. Maybe back to cricket even. I just don't know anymore.

I have really been contemplating switching to T-Mobile. I'm in NYC and LTE in Manhattan during the middle of the day is no better than att/tmobile hspa. I rarely get over 10mbps with my galaxy s3. But the overall coverage is great and I really don't want to give that up. I hope that with metro pcs T-Mobile can expand their service.

Sadly jumping ship isn't an option for me since verizon has the best signal and data where i live. I'm just holding out for the next nexus on verizon.

Same here. I've been with Verizon for probably ten years and although their custom firmware settings on phones and fairly high prices grinds on me a bit where I live they're still the best game in town. Just renewed with them for two more years when I got this pair of i535s from Best Buy.
I hope every one here knows that if you have unlimited data with Verizon and you UPGRADE YOU CAN STILL KEEP YOUR UNLIMITED PLANS. THERE IS ALOT OF MISS INFORMATION ON THIS:banghead::banghead:. Yes ......call them and tell them after you upgrade you want your unlimited back .They will give it to you. But call before you upgrade so it will be in your file. This only can be done on the phone not in any store. When you upgrade just take the 2gb plan. Then when you get the phone call them back and tell them to put the unlimited back on. They do this for loyal customers. Don't let them tell you they don't cause they do. The person you speak to might not know so ask for another rep.Don't upgrade until it is in you file saying they will give it back to you after wards. This works I know for a fact. This is just not advertised. I only learned because a rep was nice enuff to tell me.....So spread the word...Its called The Loyal Customer worry free exchange program......THIS DOES WORK .I UPGRADED MINE AND MY WIFES.PLUS MY BOSS AND BARBER( I get free hair cuts now lol):thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

You will miss Verizon sorely once you do any traveling. No other network comes close to the coverage they have.
I can't jump ship from Verizon either because the carrier I want to go to (T-Mobile) has the same crappy service from when I was with them 2 years ago. If LTE was to come to my area on T-Mobile I would definitely test it and if its worth it i'll jump ship from Verizon. But Verizon has to be the best service I get in my area & i'm still grandfathered in on my Unlimited Data, been getting phones through Swappa & Craigslist for the time being.
To me, it's similar to Comcast - they have high prices, but the best service too. I always have a great signal, blazing fast internet... hard to complain about the price to me. I'm coming from Sprint, who's price was barely cheaper, and the service was terrible.
