[Q] Where can I find spare parts? - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

A while back I removed the plastic power button from the plastic casing around the tablet. I had the constant power menu issue because of the misaligned power button inside the tablet. I'd like to sell the tablet, but I need to get a new power button for it, and I can't find one anywhere. The closest I've found is a complete replacement back cover, but on Ebay they want almost $40 just for the plastic shell. Does anyone know of somewhere that sells parts for the TF300?

HTC Hero black volume rocker

Hello, new to the site after just having purchased a new HTC Hero in white. Hasn't arrived yet, but I have also purchased a replacement housing in black that includes everything I need except for a black volume rocker, which I didn't mind as I thought it would be easy to find. But I'm having trouble locating somewhere that sells parts for the hero bar the usual replacement screen and digitizers.
So does anybody know where I could get hold of a black volume rocker, or at the very least, somewhere that sells broken heros for spares/repairs, even ebay seems to be bare of these.
Thank you for any help!
After a bit more research, I have found that it is actually part of the middle cover according to the HTC parts list, but I can only find that specific component as part of the entire housing assembly which I already have, on top of that, only the expensive ones seem to include it, which isn't a viable option.
So anybody know where broken HTCs Hero can be bought, specifically the black T-Mobile G2. Or does anyone have a broken one? Graphite would be acceptable as almost anything is better than white on the black housing.
Thank you again.
Hi,
Do you mean the volume button? Or something else?
Maybe you can try and paint it yourself with black paint or something like that.
Cheers,
EC
Yeah, the volume button on the side. I was thinking that as I have painted a few things before, but doesn't it have some rubbery texture to it, or is it just smooth plastic?
Maybe the rubbery feeling makes the paint stick better to it.
Maybe using a waterproof pencil or something like that...

[Q] DIY Volume rocker fix?

For the second freaking time in a row, my volume rocker fell out of my Sensation. I bought a new white battery cover a few months back to replace the black one, but the volume rocker has fallen out of both and I'm not spending $20 for another. Anyone else had this happen and fix it? What can I do?

I did this as a quick fix for my sensation's cover, until I had time to buy another. It worked for the day or two I needed to find a replacement.
There's a bit of plastic under the volume rocker that pushes it back up (it's a black strip and similar to the plastic under the power button). Use super-glue to make it stick. If you don't have a glue of some sort, you can heat up the tip of a metal screwdriver and you should be able to make it stick.
If there's no little black strip of plastic, you may just need to invent an alternative or buy a new cover and reinforce it with something.

Did this, but it fell out again rather quickly. Ended up using my old TPU case to just hold it in place. It falls out when I remove the case, and the case is an ugly yellow color because TPU cases yellow over time, but it's honestly the most effective thing I've done so far.
Also ended up buying a Nexus 4. The total cost that I've spent maintaining this phone is well over $170 (new battery, new back twice, repairs due to faulty/defective hardware plus the stupid high amounts that my local carrier charges to ship packages, since they're the only one in the area and they apparently run ****... Its just too much.

I know, this phone an incredible amount of design flaws that cost quite a bit to get replaced. I did say quick fix, as it's not meant to be permanent..
I'm not a big fan of cases, but I'll remember that if anyone asks.

[Q] One S Power switch broken!

Hi
The little white plastic power button/switch underneath the top cover has broken off, not the black button on the top cover!! I cannot seem to find any parts on ebay or anywhere, do I have to dismantle the phone and replace a whole ribbon or is there a way of replacing just the tiny white button? If I buy a damaged HOS could I repair it or is it impossible? Thanks anyone:crying:

Replacement button caps?

The black button covers/caps/pads have begun to fall off my watch. I managed to notice when one fell off and glued if back on, but the other has now fallen off and I cannot find it. Does anyone know where to get replacements?
Had the same issue.
Use some blck hard rubber, cut it in form and glued it on. it also has a structure on top, so looks very similar to the original one

Question Power button replacement?

Hi my power button suddenly falls off. when i put it back on it wont get a secured fit and is wobbly.
I saw in aliexpress that they offer replacement power button piece. If i purchase it do i still need to disassemble my device or i can just push them back in the power buttons hole and would they get a secured fit?

As our Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is dust and water resistant I almost sure that you must disassemble the device to change the power button.
Let Samsung deal with it if under warranty
You dont have too dissasemble it buy a New one from Ebay swap it and thats it. You still have a water sealing
