I have have found that the rom keeps on trying to find the internal storage (ie in Chinese leak me865) which our phone lacks so the phone heats like hell
So some of them got force closes but it was solved by changing language and again reverting back to English if you also get fcs do try this step
For international users I repeat international users u can flash the first hwtk leak (in. Gz file) and go to miui site and download the edision zip file flash
the link http://www.4shared.com/archive/ApgMqNPs/ME865-ICS-HKTW.html
Factory reset and enjoy
The phone stays cool u get internal storage and miui !!!
its a rar unrar it then the extracted file is also rar unrar it ,you will get a folder named p3.......
Link is down will upload after some time
then flash using rsd lite
then for first boot pull out battery go in custom recovery and factory (for bootlooping solution)
then root install custom recovery and go to miui download edision file
flash factory reset and enjoy
some one asked about battery life its awesome.....
playing asphalt 7 and phone is ice cool
hope i helped u
lets hope our devs find some way for our att bros
Hope this helps devs to figure out how to keep from cool
if u think its not because of it then try to remember the Chinese modded ota it also got warm due to the same reason

I have MB865 with MEARET firm, I'm in middle east region.
reply
sorry bros went to studies directly so couldnt reply
actually i meant to say that the new ics allows the me865 to use 4gb internal storage for real storage purpose(personal use like movies and files)
they completly changed the storage architecture and i think it is hard to bring on mb865 as they made it possible by ics fxz the only fxz available for atrix 2 for ics obviously not for att mb865
but as our international atrix 2 (searet ,,mearet (these are only it think) ) can flash me865 systems without bootloader error we can flash this fxz
i am saying again i do not guarantee anything but many will agree to this as they once flashed the rom for extra 4gb
so yesterday i flashed this fxz then rooted and installed miui and it runs like silk and it keeps cool and even uses internal 4gb for personal storage
remember due to 4gb internal storage given for personal use u cannot use this for dual booting (the moment u format webtop it bootloops)
hope this answers most of ur questions
i will be uploading it for u (again only for intrnational users i say)

Also flashing me865 ROM on mb seems confusing as there are hardware differences in these two.

2-they can flash many amss images.
3-they integrates its into GB base images.
4-they have sources.
BTW.can you check board revision? P3 or not?

i did notice those issues but didnt mind them, as I know where the buttons are, lol. And the prox sensor thing can be annoying at times but not so bad, i use the camera often though. When I installed a third party camera app it gave me a toast notification reading; "the camera drivers could not be accessed, a reboot may be needed," upon rebooting, still nothing, do you know of a work around for this until the new version is released?
Archmag3 said:

Gapps was minimal. I knew that wasn't the fix but G Maps was causing a wake lock that got fixed which is good and will help in the grand scheme of things.
I'm confident that this sdcard isse is the main bug. I'm able to stop it from scanning over and over but it breaks storage so I am working on that now. The good thing is that it looks like all of that internal 4GB storage partition is controlled by build.prop so once I figure out the right combination, I cn put this baby to bed

As long as i can remember, when i installed the rom, all that you mention worked good for me.
The camera, the proximity sensor when i call somebody, and the backlight on the soft buttons.
PS: Have you got a release date of the miui with the battery bug fixed? I don't want to do the steps of the rsdlite because i have fear of bricking my phone.
PS2: Why did you changed the name from Offical to UnOfficial?
Edit: I installed it again, and now i have the bugs The brightness bug, the camera bug, the soft button bug.
But, i'm going to test if the battery bug its fixed.
I'm able to FXZ to 'ME865-ICS-HKTW.gz' successfully on MB865 (SEARET Version or Indian version of Atrix 2). And then use the 'miuiandroid_edison-2.9.29.zip' from here as suggested.
Things seem to be safe so far - no issues found (earlier when I tried to flash miuiandroid_edison-2.9.29.zip directly caused several force closes - which I don't see anymore with the above method). Only issue is that the the model shows up as ME865 instead of MB865.

There's always a benefit of root my friend. First and for most is removing bloarware (AT&T preinstalled apps that take up memory and space in background) So many other reasons why root is best. How I describe it to people is like this. Taking a Governor off a car is similar to rooting an android phone. Technically there is only one ROM made from OTA ICS right now here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1960679 but there are others in the development section built of previous ICS "Leaks" we obtained. Such as SCV7, Swifty Trix, CM10, MIUI and a stock based off OTA as well. Hope this helped explain a little. Enjoy the power of the Dark side!

Umm, cm10 is a true opensource rom and not based on any leak/OTA, it is compiled from scratch. The only files taken from ICS are a few libraries and kernel modules and the like, and those have no bearing on version of ICS they were taken from.

Yes, your right Jim. CM is device-wide... forgot to mention that. Shouldn't mater what version of ICS your on. As far as other ROMs go for on this device, as far as ICS goes, like I stated, one (two including stock/rooted) is only based off the official OTA ICS build. Thanks man, you know I'm always willing to test as well. Well, as long as there's no hard brick possibility in the process lol. But with this new fxz back to ICS stock I'm feeling more secure now hahaha. Yes, I would be the perfectionist too if it came to making my own ROM. Probably why I never have attempted yet. Too much work n stress for me to handle. I give you Dev'so credit! Thanks for sharing link man. I'll give it a go n let you know how everything runs. (If I find anything new)

Tester
I am probably not an ideal tester, due to lack of technical knowledge regarding Android, but should you need a tester of the moderate abilities, and knowledge I would be more than willing to be of help if I actually was help. I currently am running the build of CM10 that is currently available, and am impressed with it, but look forward to your build with much anticipation. I can only take off my hat, as it were, to you, and all of the developers in this arena.

Ok if i use this method to root my atrix 2, can i unroot after that?
And i’ve heard that there are problems that is experienced by other atrix 2 users(superuser versions 3.0.3 and above), how do i fix that?
My atrix 2 is running stock ics from the official OTA , before that it was running 2.3.6 unrooted ,stock.
Thanks in advance for clearing my doubts.

No, and no. No on 2nd system because it still uses the same underlying stock ICS kernel.
If you took the OTA, then you are stuck on ICS. This has been the case with major android releases and not being able to go backward for a very long time.
Here are some picks of this error on the screen. used to not happen at all, but started happening on android 4.1 by rashed and transfered to 4.2 some how (i did the wipe and stuff, so dont tell me all the basic trouble shooting steps all over again). The problem now happens like 2 times a day minimum. somethimes happens more often.

I diff'ed the source against the P500 source.
Practically the only difference is that the P506 has two framebuffer(?) drivers (novatek and hitachi) rather than one (just hitachi), with runtime detection of hw.
Relevant kernel config is CONFIG_FB_MSM_MDDI_NOVATEK_HVGA.
Since /proc/mtd is the same for P500 and P506, I guess roms and recoveries go through with just this display glitch issue, but it'd be great to have a proper one.
Does anyone know whether it is possible to just replace the zImage in CWM/amon_ra, or a compilation is required?

well, im p506, up their it sais 505. also, here is the rom im using
http://www.igottadroid.com/ModMarket/Listings/LGICS2064864.html
i am pretty sure its the same thing.
here is the edit:
after looking around the jenkins page, it is rashed who made that rom so...it is the same rom that im using and everything works great other than this one part. anyone else having this issue after using the rom for a month?
overcocking using interactive cpu governor
i also have that error when i try to over clock my phone on interactive cpu governor and set it on boot ....
try to use smartassv2
OK. i have been testing every single freaking build by rashed, and not only this, but most other cm10.1 roms that i could make work. but, it still happens, WHAT I NOTICED though, on the latest build from jenkins, when i overcloked to 658 mhz, the screen started doing the split and move thing again, but rapidly going back and forth, once i undercloked it back to 600, the problem persisted. and i had to go back to my back up cause the rom died, didnt rebot at all.
so i think overclock is bad, although on my current rom im at 790 mhz and no problem at all.

Best not to overclock on the newer 3.* kernels, so I have been told.
It is getting to be a nice hot summer. That 790 mhz can be a problem.
I went back to stock 600mhz, Smartassv2 governer. Did not notice anything much slower.
Anyway, screen-rippage is caused by overclocking. Had wierd stuff 768mhz, hot summer day ...

No!! The bootloader is still locked.
CyanogenMod is open and if a known dev makes a request for a branch to be made official it only needs an approval from other "official" CyanogenMod devs/board members. A review by the requested members, is all that is needed to make it an official branch.
So I don't see any nightlys up, I'm a little confused, is it so freshly supported that it hasn't been built yet?

Well I never expected that to happen, but SWEET!
If I had a dollar for every time I said that, I'd be making money in a very weird way.
So does anyone no when we will het nightly builds? Im not trying to be a noob here. So keep ur rude answers to ur self

my camera cannot record in 1080p either
i tried to flash cm10.1.3 with jbx 0.8.1 based on
1. hktw 4.0.4(220), bl version is 0.65, bmm version is 0.3.4
2. hktw 4.1.2(404), bl version is 0.65, bmm version is 0.3.4
3. hktw 4.1.2(404), bl version is 0.73, bmm version is 0.3.4
it seems nothing difference...
it is really much stable, but, i cant trust in it..., my phone crashed about 3 times in a month,
now, i flashed the cm10.1.3 based on a Asia 4.0.4, and i will let it run some day to test
btw, another question
does your phone run on cm10.1.3?
if so, what's the name of the sd card in setting->storage,
it's very strange in my phone, it's named 'connecting to xxx vpn...', not 'sd card', i dont know why and how to change it to be normal...

Nothing official from CyanogenMod, I'm afraid. We'd have to live with the unofficial builds only. And also, I guess, there would be no fix for 1080p recording or HDMI issues.

ok guys this is Blisspop 5.1.1 for the ZTE ZMAX
Features: all Blisspop features
notification settings
hidden settings
ok battery life
OmniSwitch
Tons of other features.
heads up settings
Bugs: Less stable
HOW TO FLASH (NEW INSTRUCTIONS):
1. Place ZIP on SD Card
2. Reboot Into TWRP
3. NANDROID (DO NOT SKIP THIS FOR YOUR SAKE)
4. Don't factory reset the normal way, go to wipe > advanced wipe and click "dalvik cache", "data", "cache" and "system". If you don't, you run the risk of getting an updater-script error (not from the zip, it's a bug in some TWRP builds).
5. New Step: Reboot recovery (in the recovery menu). It will ask if you want to install su, press do not install.
5. Flash the ROM
THANKS
Thanks to the Blisspop team and thanks to @mingolianbeef and @hroark13

Installed on a ZTE Grand XMax+ (or ZTE987)
Worked well, but I seem to be missing the soft buttons at the bottom so when an app opens I can not go back or get to the home screen
Is there a way I can fix this?

Sent from my Z987 using XDA Free mobile app
I downloaded the rom from this site and used it on my Cricket ZTE Grand Xmax+(Cricket ZTE987) and it works well,
the Camera is not working though, If there is anything I can to to help please let me know. I will test or verify specific parts as working or not just let me know what you need to know.
Reference this thread for more info and a TWRP image of the cricket factory rooted OS

I put it up in case someone screws up and needs to backtrack if anyone else with more experience than me can pull the camera app and put it in their rom so it can be ported to a ZTE Grand Xmax + (cricket ZTE987)
nevermind found it

You guys are fine now but I'm gonna reccomned you stop installing them after this. There all baked in with my new kernel which I modified zte zmax specific things. You will get a brick from this most likely.

dont worry about that about only thing differnt is camera and screen size otheriwise its same chipset, if the twrp and EVERYHTING works but the camera its the same chipset

Yea that was me. I make all the 5.1 ROMs and kernels and right now all it has is governors and io schedulars but in the next version I added OC and UC which will probably brick your device.

Clearly not too. It has a different storage size and ram iirc which is a bad thing because in the kernel ram is accounted for there and such. I messsed with stuff that's specific to that. Also the reason the camera doesn't work??? Clearly the camera is different in some way

i respect you are dev but what part of its same chipset is stumping you? if anthing was going to brick it probably would be the kernal so if they can run each others kernals its same chipset

Yea I made the god damn kernel OK??? Let me ask you does a moto g kernel work on the zmax? No because its a moto g. I have a bricked test device because of my testing with the moto g stuff. There kernels don't work but its the same chip set and screen resolution.

And what I was saying is the stock kernel is probably fine for you device if its OC but there was no 5.1.1 kernel for the zmax because it never got a real update so it was hacked together and made for the zmax so it may not work as things were drastically changed

Yea my new kernel is the same except the stock kernel is pure as it was made by zte but the new kernel has modification's to it and some stuff it pulled from other devices which may not work on your device. And our GPU and CPU is very common so things may work but mainly what I'm worried about is the ram. Things may go haywire because you have half the ram
