I am wondering if anyone has seen a holster for our device? While some of my slacks pockets are big enough, thats not really too comfy/stylish. I much prefer holster or clip (belt loop at worst)
I have been thinking of modifying the pouch/stand or a case to add a hook/clip. Any thoughts? I really dont want to have to get a shatchel or techslinger as I dont always wear a suit jacket.

I don't know about anyone else but I love this phone. Well maybe not completely, there are a few things here and there. One thing that really bothers me is more the fault of Samsung, not the device itself and it is the lack of availability of good cases. Yes the body glove is a very well made case but it really lacks the protection I would like to have on a phone I am going to be stuck with for two years. One drop could really put the kibosh on my phone. It sucks that a driving force in whether or not I return a cell phone is third party support but what can you do. Man I wish Otterbox would make something for our phone, even something half as nice as their Defender case for the Iphone 4 would suit me.
Just a question but how many people would be interested in an Otterbox like case? When I say that I mean a hard case that covers all of the phone and has some sort of belt clip attachment for any one who wanted to use it.

Nobody buys the Otterbox Defender cases for looks...
And I wouldn't trust the body glove case for a 5-6 foot drop. I'm not going to spend money and still have to be careful with my phone. If I drop cash, its going to be on something that provides piece of mind.
That said, right now my phone only has a skin for extra grip. I'm waiting for a good case to be released. Hopefully someone comes out with a hard case that provides full body protection like the defender cases do.
EDIT: Sorry, didn't realize this thread was a couple days old.
So folks, I have an Otterbox Commuter case and the Seido ActiveX holster. I'm actually really loving the way they fit together, but I realized something after I started trying to use the combo -- I have no idea how to use this holster in a way that is convenient and comfortable.
I know, this probably sounds a little lame, but i honestly can't figure it out. If I clip it vertically or horizontally at my waistband, it's a real pain to get to. It's much easier to just reach in my pocket than to try to move my shirt out of the way and mess with the holster arrangement. Plus, my shirt often gets caught on the phone or holster and that gets annoying.
If I put phone side inside my pocket and clip the holster to the pocket, I pretty much have to take the whole contraption out of my pocket to get it out of the holster. I used to use my old phone in a holster like that without taking it out of the holster, but that phone was screen out. This is screen in.
So, if you guys have holsters, how do you use them? I'm baffled that something I figured would make my life easier has actually made it much more frustrating. It's disappointing...
Depends on if you prefer OWB, IWB, shoulder or deep conceal.
Lol...that did make me chuckle. I guess I'm asking a ridiculous question? No one seems to have anything to say on the topic.
I use the Commuter with a MOBO leather holster. I can flip horizontal or vertical but either way works because I get a good snug fit with the Commuter on. To quick draw I just flip up the magnetic cover and grasp both corners to take it out.

Tuck your shirt in on the holster side. Looks cool and problem solved!

Can somebody recommend a good leather holster with a belt clip for my Galaxy Note 4 that also fits it with the Spigen Tough Armor on it?

Perhaps make one yourself?
You could always make one yourself if you're willing to learn the craft. It's really not as difficult as people think it is. The good part is you'll always have the means to do it for any other kind of project you're interested in... even your next phone. Of course, it'll initially be expensive depending on how many tools you buy, the dye, and the leather, but all worth it in the long run in my opinion. Plus it's fun! This is one I made for my Note 4. The N4 has a Samsung Cover on it and the leather case was wet-formed. Might be more than you had in mind but just thought I'd throw it out there.
You might try PDAir also... they have some ready made leather cases for the Note 3 (might fit the N4). I believe they carry a version that will fit even if you have some kind of minimal protective case on your phone. You might want to email them and inquire about it.

I actually did consider that as I have some salvaged leather from a old couch that I carved up for my little sister in case she needs it for her art projects. The ones I found online weren't of good quality and some of them even fell apart after days of usage.
I know what you mean about those cases falling apart. I've had them before for my ipods and such. One of the main reasons I got into doing my own leather.
Unfortunately, you can't use "couch" leather to make a wet-formed case for your phone. Couch leather is too soft and is the wrong type of leather for wet-forming... lacks structure. I imagine you could build some kind of case with that leather though, but you'll have to get creative and also build in some kind of backing to stabilize the belt clip. Online cases normally insert dense cardboard sandwiched in-between their leather to strengthen the clip area. Good luck in whatever route you choose.
Here's a helpful guy to learn much about leather working. He demonstrates a few projects, and also has other informative videos about tools, finishing, types of leather etc. Be sure to check him out if you want to get serious about doing small leather projects. You'll certainly realize it doesn't take much.
Watching this one will give you a very good idea about what needs to be done to achieve wet-forming cases... He doesn't use belt clips but rather belt loops. Still good info.

Here's a quick sleeve type case for his iphone... no belt clip though, but also good info.

So I'm trying to decide what kind of holster I want to get for my Pure. Yes, I know that holsters are out of style, and frankly I don't care. The phone is too large for me to put in my pocket *and* do my work without worrying that I'm going to bend the phone or whatever.
I had a vertical holster for my 2013 Moto X, but I think that I'd like to go horizontal this time since this phone is taller than my last one. I'm not terribly impressed by the ones that are marketed strictly for the Pure, so I did a size comparison with the Note 4 and found a couple that I liked. But... while the Pure is about the same size as the Note 4 it is a bit thicker due to the curve. So, would you all think that something like this should work??
CellBee Canvas
-or-
Urvoix Tactical
Right now I only have the bumper case on, but if I find a slim kickstand that I like I may put that on.
Let me know how you think it would fit in these! I appreciate your input!

I saw a couple unboxing videos where the size seemed to exactly match some other phones (but I don't know what they were.)
I bought a slim $7 otterbox knockoff shell + holster clip. And I will look for something else when they start making more cases. I really like the way the urvoix looks, but the rip of velcro everytime I grab my phone is not going to work for me, especially in meetings.
When I told my wife that I was looking for something with a belt clip, she suggested that I put my phone in a pocket protector and hang it from my fanny pack, so I'm guessing these are no longer in fashion.

Yeah, that's what they tell me at least. But I jump in and out of forklifts all day and move farm supplies all over the place, so I can't do what needs to be done with a phone in my pocket. I'll be unfashionable if it means not having to replace a $450 phone over a hard landing.
There were a couple other canvas horizontal holders that were magnetic, and I thought about them as well.
Hello I am wondering if anyone knows of a good quality horizontal belt holder that works with the g5 and allows for a case? My case is not very thick but I would not call it slim either.
To give you an idea of what I mean by good quality I want it to be leather and the last one that I had was actually fake leather and the support was cardboard. That one got decent ratings on Amazon for quality but when it fell apart it became clear that it was not good.
I use this belt clip on my V10 since I was unable to to find a holster for it. It works great! and it fits the G5.

I also use the Seideio LGG4 Cased jholsteras well

I never used one of those, but every case or holder with a plastic clip I have had has broken within 3 months. I am not sure I want to spend that money on something that my experience indicates would probably not last very long.
I almost forgot that in previous experience I have had problems with clips like that causing the phone to fall every time I get out of my car and I noticed a few reviews mentioning that on that clip as well. Seems like a bit of a risk to me.
Found this thread and the suggestion by @shaun0207 and figured I'd give it whirl! Thanks for that!
I have the Otterbox Defender (too damn bulky), the Evocel holster/clip (too flimsy and difficult to remove from belt clip) and now am going to try the Spigen walletcase in conjunction with the mophie universal clip
I'll let you guys know how it works out

Great! I have been seriously considering just getting the few tools and some materials and just making my own since it seems very hard to find ones that are well made. If I do I would basically have a thick, stiff leather back (I have a good sized piece of lace leather that I think would work well for that), a couple of belt loops either made from that same thick leather or a slightly thinner more flexible leather, then a soft leather for the rest of the holder with a flap for closing and probably just some cheap magnets hidden within for holding it closed. Should be pretty simple to put together (though there would likely be some trial and error involved).

I only had it come out of the clip once and it was in the car. If you can, check it out in Best Buy. It really holds the phone well.
