[Q] WiFi issues CyanogenMod 10.1 - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, not new to CM10.1 , loving it on my Nexus 4... but just flashed it on my newly bought Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N8000 (nightlies 20/4) and I am having trouble with my WiFi, it doesnt seem to be able to connect to WiFi ...
After filling my WiFi password, it is stated there as "Connecting" and then, it becomes "Saved, secured with WPA PSK" instead of "Connected"
Found a number of similar posts but none actually worked for me, tried:
- Changing to Static
- Changing Wi-Fi region code
- Something about deleting a file in directory > data/misc/dhcp , but no file is to be found there
- Something about deleting /data/.cid.info , but again, there's no such file in my note 10,1

And I mean clean. a few nightlies ago i could solve the issue with a permission fix thru rom manager.Skrillax put the rom together but i cant ask him because like you i am a junior. Hope a fix comes soon.

[Q] CM7 802.1x Auth problems

Hi!
I'm having a lot of trouble connecting to my uni's wifi (eduroam). I think I connected once, but it never works.
I'm running 7.0.2, doesn't seem updating will fix it (see changelog)
Is it just my phone? Worked perfectly on stock rom.

theyre probably using a proxy , cm doesnt have proxy settings... or does it?
Use wifi advance and everything will be ok.

They are not using a proxy!
What do you mean by wifi advance?

I can connect to a 802.1x EAP protected network fine.
Try to add it with Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Wi-Fi settings -> Add Wi-Fi network
Enter the SSID of your network and under Security choose "802.1x EAP" there you have to provide some other information likes certificates (you have to include them first).
Moved to Q&A.
Tried it all, updated to 7.0.3, I'm watching the log, trying out different settings, and still haven't connected once.
Weird thing is, it worked on stock!
I might go back to my nandroid backup just to check if it's still working on that rom.
Thanks all though.
As kind of a log for me:
CM 7.0.2 / 7.0.3 - Not Working
Stock - Working
nAndroid (rom) - Working
Liquid NexusBread - Not Working
inf1nity -
SuperAOSP -
MIUI -
NS rAv
If anyone knows what these have in common I will be glad to hear what the problem is!

Gio CM7.2 wifi mac address changing after restarting wifi

Hi guys.
I can't reply to original topic, which is here.
I've downloaded version [ROM] CM7.2-20120325-gio-NIGHTLY-AROMA.zip nad installed it without any problems, in newest clockworkmod recovery 5.0.2.7.
My problem is, that after restarting wi-fi or whole system it changes mac address. First 3 pairs (if i remember it's producers code) are still the same, but the rest is random i think.
I've searched through this forum, and user google, but i don't found anything that can help me...
I found how to change mac address, but i read it's not permanent change...
Someone could help me?
Sorry if I added this question to wrong forum, I'm just no so good at english, as you probabky can see while reading my post
OK, sorry that was my fault...
I run app named GooManager and after that and after while it said there is patch to current ROM. I installed this patch (I had to do it manually, because of GooManager crashes, i think it's because of SuperUser, but there were no info about needed priviliges) nad now everything works fine i think
Patch is here. If someone could edit main topic and add this?

[Q] Accessories seem to malfunction after CM10 on GT 10.1

On my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, I installed the main new CM10 ROM, as recently announced, and although I had some problems, it now works fine. However, as I was trying to transfer a ZIP file that I did not properly transfer the first time, I discovered that the card reader does not seem to be detected at all when I connect it to the tablet. Also, the tablet, which uses the same port seems to be only partially working. For example, the Home and Back keys do not seem to work at all, although the equivalent buttons on the display seem to be OK.
Are there other things I should do once I have the new ROM installed ? I was trying to get the Google Apps ZIP file tr-transferred to the internal /sdcard partition so I can install all those goodies.
Try to ask the developer of the rom, he/she has the answers. Or maybe revert to stock rom if you really need to those functions.

[Q] [SOLVED] CM 10.1 on P506 wifi problem

I was running CM 10 with some success on my P506 and decided to try CM 10.1. With all the "stable" versions (now on 10.1.3) I've had an issue with wifi -- specifically, I have to press the WPS button (after wifi is enabled) in order for it to connect to see that any access points are available. Until I do, it only shows APs I've previously connected to as "out of range." Is there something I can do to fix this? (When installing a new ROM, I wiped the caches and /system.)
I ended up getting around this problem. It seems like it was due to an old setting that was restored (through Google) on installation of the rom. I also noticed I was out of space on /system, so that might've been a related issue. I'm now running a trimmed nightly of 10.1.3 with gapps-light (did not restore my saved settings from Google) and do not have this issue any more.

WHATSAPP Next button before verifying my phone number clicks, but not reacting at all

Hi guys,
I experienced a very strange issue with whatsapp at the moment. Just bought a Galaxy S4 I9505 and put some CM11 on it. Everything is working like a charm except of whatsapp.
Here I can open the app - getting the alert that my custom rom was recognized - and then I can enter my phone number.
But whatever I'am entering - I CANNOT CLICK "NEXT" oO
I've tried resetting the DPI to default / disabling root / developer mode / cleaned cache with dalvik etc. but nothing seems to work.
Did any1 of you guys had this issue and solved it finally?
Thanks for your help!
ask a moderator to move your thread to Galaxy S4 forum, you might get answer there.
why this had been moved to "General questions" ? I've posted this in the Whatsapp section as this is a specific question about Whatsapp?
Well in fact I have changed the ROM I used and it was working - only with this CM11 version the error occurs.
I can remember I had this issue once on a Blackberry Q10 with the android app of Whatsapp - where I needed to use the magnification tool to hit the "Next" button - but it did not help on android.
