I am currently facing a weird issue my display seems to act weird it shows all types of marks
For best information check attachment.
Please help to pin point it or may be even solve it

Does your mobile have a custom rom installed ? In any case, you could try to update it via OTA . The marks appear at random places ?
Yes the marks are appearing on random places and yes I have flashed a custom rom but the problem existed even when I was using oem software

Hello,
MMM... If that happened to you even with the original rom it sounds like it is a defective phone... I'd make a final test: Make a total reflashing (including kernel) to discard everything... If the problem continues, flash original software and call the thechies at your phone service 8-D

I first faced this problem in flyRom v3. Suddenly my mobile stops sending messages(sms). Fails to send. I know it has nothing to do with my carrier.
I contacted them, nothing wrong.
When I change the Rom or reflash, it gets ok and starts sending but after 1/2 days usage it again fails.
Checked flyRom/derefas 6/jaggy 4.1/jaggy 3.2.1/.
Works but for only first one or two days. Any idea?

Don't know what was causing it but I got it ok after some days. Flashing another ROM didn't help. Strange???? Anyway it's all ok now.

I have rooted at&t htc one x. Everytime I unlock my phones screen it is starting to search for software update and never ends. Also, if i want to check manually it also takes ages.
Can I somehow turn this automatic update search off?

Maybe it is different. I have at&t version of one x. In settings>about> there is no option to turn the updates off.

Google how to change update schedule for your phone model, there is a lot of sites with your info. In past it was used to manipulate update settings. Also if you are rooted then use app like titanium to freeze or remove update module. I personally would remove it as oem updates are garbage IMO .

I've freezed update v4.5 by titanium beckaup, but it is still searching for updates. do not know how to schedule updates (((

Have you thought about installing custom ROM for your phone. Here is a good link with lots of options. I would use a task manager app and see what's running that's triggering that search.

I don't see any solution myself. What's happening with your phone is not normal. There's something wrong. The only way to fix it would be to ruu or clean flash a rom if you are bootloader unlocked.

Sorry these questions are forbidden as there is no best rom.
Check them all out. Read the features. If you see a rom with the features you want download and flash it.
Use titanium backup and freeze the OTA updater. Not sure what its called. My mother in law just got a One X, so I'm browsing these forums.
In my S3, its called AT&T Updater or OTA Updater. I haven't been stock in a while. I hope this helped.

Thanks for your suggestions. I'll wait for end of this month, for 4.2 and sense 5 update, if it will still remain as a issue, I'll get a custom rom.

I would really appreciate if you find what is the name of updater. I found some entry in titanium backup with the name "updater v4.5", freezed but my issue still going

Hello, I have the same issue ! I've got HTC One X AT&T and every time I unlock the phone it starts the automatic update search and it is so annoying ! I am searching now for a solution. For notification if i remeber correctly its automaticly set to none at fist time. Have u tried to set them manually first and see if that persist?

Yes I did. Behavior is strange, I get the ringtone first time after changing the ringtone but after it no ringtone.

I have had similar issue with a rom (dont remenber which one it was, probably miui). After each reboot, setting max volume on call / media / notification, then revert back to usuals settings solved the problem.

I just fix the permissions and after that it seems to be working fine.

Hello, i have some reboots with sultan kernel all versions except r33.. with r41 i had this last_kmsg
The main answer is: what's the meaning of this line: restart: Console was locked! ??

Did you try the r41.5 yet? I also had reboots from r36 until r41.. And had no reboot until now with r41.5

I've had a look at the kmsg.. The restart was initiated by battery.. The battery might be loose.. Do the cardboard trick.. Google " fix random reboots pictures attached xda" and the first link of the result wi) have details regarding this

No, It didn't work tried with r41.5 and ramdon reboot right now it's so annoying :/
i have 2 batteries one new and with the same result :/
For a few days, my device cannot find my location. I clearly installed insertcoin rom again but it is the same do you think the issue is hardware or software? If hardware, where can i focus on device? (i can dissasembly my device easily)

Maybe the GPS antenna on the device became loose or doesnt have a good contact. When you disassemble the phone it should be a long wire connected to the mobo and charging port assembly. Find a repair video for it (like this one http://youtu.be/z8BJVchUlTs) , pull wire from the mobo clean contacts a bit then reattach, then try again. Hope this helps!
@bokithq i had replaced charging port so it seems gps issue is because of that. But i can check it about a month later because my screen is broken and i am waiting for a new one.
What about camera issue? Both camera don't work

Did you try camera on original stock ROM ?
If not, return the stock ROM to the phone and do factory reset.

İ was using camera with insertcoin rom before dissasembly. After issue appeared, i tried another rom with clean install but nothing different. İ think it is hardware issue.
