I first faced this problem in flyRom v3. Suddenly my mobile stops sending messages(sms). Fails to send. I know it has nothing to do with my carrier.
I contacted them, nothing wrong.
When I change the Rom or reflash, it gets ok and starts sending but after 1/2 days usage it again fails.
Checked flyRom/derefas 6/jaggy 4.1/jaggy 3.2.1/.
Works but for only first one or two days. Any idea?

Don't know what was causing it but I got it ok after some days. Flashing another ROM didn't help. Strange???? Anyway it's all ok now.

You could always try flashing a Rom and see if it works ....if your already rooted might as well

Just relock bootloader and run correct RUU, check this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1697604, it helps hehe.

You didn't even say what provider you're on, or what kind of plan, or anything. You need to talk to your provider to find out what's wrong.

English isn't your first language is it?
I had the same problem when I unlocked mine to work in ireland. It turned out to be the cloub messiging app sending data through sms multibal times daily . I solved it through custom roms that dont use that serves. I later learned if you foot ur phone u could ure root explorer to remove the app from the stock rom

the only roms im switching between right now are GalaxyMod, and CleanRom
but cant get a photo to send to someone via messenger.
Did i skip a step? or does this sound normal that it doesnt work on these roms?
or maybe is there a known fix?

just tried my restore of GalaxyMod, no luck on 4G or Wifi
HOWEVER .. i was sending my wife a pic to test. I asked her to send me a pic, and i got it ... as soon as i got hers, mine went through to her. But then the next pic i sent didnt go through.
So its like her sending me a pic opens the MMS network or something lol
Any ideas at all? Im at a complete loss

Try MMS with other people other than your wife and then do the same from her phone,that will rule out if there's any network congestion in your area.

how do you mean? I have tried sending a pic to someone else, it didnt go through. just keeps sending

I just tried on both 4G and Wifi, but it wont go through. Just keeps spinning. Damnit!
Is there another way to reprovision without going back to stock and returning to VZW?
Very interesting ... when i go to send an MMS and it doesnt go through, it just keeps spinning
if i leave it spinning and then restart the phone, it sends
but then i try to send another one and it wont go, unless i restart phone again

My phone book search become case sensitive.
For example if I have a phone book entry as "David Paul", then to locate the same I have to put first or last name in search window with the same format (D or P Capital). If I put "david" or "paul" in search window then it doesn't work.
Few days back there was no such problem.
Can any body guide me, how to correct this...

I am using Samsung Google Nexus S 4G, rooted, using Custom ROM of Slimbean with OS 4.2.2, using stock app only for Contacts.

So then try extracting the contacts app from an older version of the ROM found within the zip in the system then app folder, it might be called secContacts.apk. Move it into the /system/app directory of your current ROM and it might work. If not, tell me.

Actually in the process of fixing this small issue I might have mis-handled few system files and my mobile had stopped working, network signals had completely vanished and I am not able to use my phone for calls as well as texts.
Then some body had suggested Odin Restore, which is something difficult for me, but while searching the remedy I got a ROM in xda only, after flashing the same, my phone got started and the contact search issue has also resolved.
In have attached the image of flashed ROM.

Does your mobile have a custom rom installed ? In any case, you could try to update it via OTA . The marks appear at random places ?
Yes the marks are appearing on random places and yes I have flashed a custom rom but the problem existed even when I was using oem software

Hello,
MMM... If that happened to you even with the original rom it sounds like it is a defective phone... I'd make a final test: Make a total reflashing (including kernel) to discard everything... If the problem continues, flash original software and call the thechies at your phone service 8-D
