My cellular one sim does not recognize card - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Good nights, I ask for excuses them for my English poor person, but I belong to Latin person. I have a HTC ONE X AT Y T MODEL PJ83100, and after updating the ROM to JB, does not admit sim card, does not have sign. I am grateful very much for his information and collaboration

Your phone isn't detecting your SIM card? Or is it asking for an unlock code? Is phone rooted or stock?
I'm not too familiar with cellular one service. Unless it runs on att towers ( like a straight talk SIM card) the phone will need to be unlocked

What Rom are you running?
Do you get a voice signal and no data or nothing at all? Does it say insert SIM?

It is a rom custom, of JB, has no class of sign, not neither voice nor data, when I insert SIM, says that detecting this, but it never has sign

Do you have another SIM card you can try in phone?

9/19:
i was using my p500 during the day. works. i switch it off for a few hours. then i switch it back on. it says cannot detect sim card. I tried many different roms same thing. I verified that i do have v20g baseband installed and I have reinstalled baseband too.
I swear it was working several hours ago... I tried everything i could think of(except kdz... don't want to go there)
this happened while i was on paranoid android. it was working just fine until today. I flashed cm7, miuigb, miuiv4, jb, cm9 all same result
Format and make a new ext3 and then try restoring.. maybe then it might work!!
Found another backup from before I was using s2e
Restored as much as I could
installed amonra
Hope it doesn't come again

I think it's a hardware problem because if you were on old bb it would recognize the sim card but wouldn't receive any signal

Check if other sim are working on phone. It might be possible that your sim is old and not working anymore. Just get a new sim.
Also dont forget to check the sim terminals on phone.

[Q] Root AT&T Inspire 4g without SD Card

Hello,
I am having an AT&T Inspire 4G but the SD card and camera is not working.
This is an Inspire 4G motherboard that was used to replace what was an HTC desire Hd before the phone stopped working.
I have sent back the phone to the agent but nothing could be done.
From the forum i have been to, installing a custom rom may help resolve the SD card and camera issue and i want to give it a try.
However, the issue is how to root the device without a working SD Card
If anyone know how i can do this, kindly let me know.

Unfortunately you need an SD card. Why exactly was a inspire board put into a desire. Just curious as the other hardware in phone is not compatible with the board.

Thanks Gizmoe,
what happened was that when my desire hd stopped coming up, i sent it for repair but when the fone came back, i can only see Inspire 4g when i check the settings for the device.

If it were me I would make them fix it. That's pretty messed up that they put the wrong parts in. They are just trying to brush you off by saying nothing can be done. Putting the right board in is what can be done, which should have been done in the first place. You can't even flash a stock ruu or do any updates without an SD card. Not to mention other stuff not working. Also your radio frequencies are controlled by the radio hardware, so you might not be able to use 3g either.

when i'm rooting/installing roms on my sg3 verizon, should i remove the sim card? or will it make no difference? I don't want to run into the same problem i ran into before with cm10.1 no data issue. took me 2 days to fix it, anyways.

I have only just noticed this but there is an app on the market that can access the sim card, and copy the contacts to/from the phone give me 5 minutes and I will get the link

ok i can confirm that this is not working for me either. I've tried several apps and they all state that the sim card is "not ready" yet data/calls/texts/mms all work fine.. very strange.
having searched the cm10 bruce thread it seems that this issue has been there for a while, with no real answers on how to fix it. i have posted hereso hopefully someone will know better than me. in the mean time do you have access to another android phone? if so try importing the contacts to that phone, then to the sdcard, then from the sdcard back to your sensation. :/ or flash a sense rom and backup to sdcard.. :/

Or, just set your Google account to sync your contacts, that way you never have to worry about moving them between phones. As soon as you log in, they get pulled.

If you still have the problem, try Sim Manager App (https://play.google.com/store/apps/....robotobia.sim.manager2&feature=search_result), with this app you can access the sim card to import, export or delete your sim contacts.
This seems to be a more global problem. Im having the same issue on 10.1 (4.2.1), and non of the apps can get access to the contacts on the sim.

I've not come across a single CM or AOSP rom that reads the identity of my carrier correctly. I don't know where they get the carrier name from but it is not my sim card.

Same here ! Why?! Anyways Stock Rom fix that issue so I can make a Vcard File for my contact :3 bigbig problem of CM and AOSP rom

[Q] dual sim problem

My phone is showing two sims network where as am using only one sim. The second sim is shown like No service. Please help me.
So help what? U update to 4.4.3 ,it will disappear when u use only one Sim.
