[Q] cyanogenmod nightly update; has anyone tried it? - HTC Sensation

hi everyone!
i'm currently on cyanogenmod nightly version from march 10th 2013. everything works fine. awesome battery life. very fast and 'smooth' :good:
so around april 5th, i saw the nightly that was released the night before (april 4th) and i updated it to that and to my concern, the wifi didnt work anymore on that build. i was devastated and i had to go back to the march 10th build. so now i'm checking the cyanogenmod website, and i see there is a new build dated april 14th 2013. has anyone tried it? if yes, does everything work? if yes, how is it different from the older builds? thanks

I've been going back and forth between CM Nightlies and MIUI (heavily addicted to the themes).
Latest CM Nightly I flashed was released on the 7th. Everything is relatively stable, and most everything works. A few changes in the new release; you can check here:
http://changelog.bbqdroid.org/#pyramid/cm10/1365977090

thank you!
thanks, DennisBold! the link was very helpful. :good: &i concur with you, the CM themes are very addicting and look really cool. will try the update OTA :fingers-crossed: good day to you!

If you downloaded the ROM from here:
http://get.cm/?device=pyramid
Then yes, it's an official CM10 ROM.

[Q] CM9 RC0 VS CM9 RC1 - on Nexus S

hello guys
i have been running CM9 RC0 (cm-9.0.0-RC0-crespo-signed.no.v5) on my GSM Nexus S OCed to 1.2GHz (ondemand governor)
and now i found out that they have released RC1 and so i downloaded it to give it a try.
but before doing so i have some questions in mind regarding RC1
that if it is worth flashing instead of CM9 RC0?
what are the possible added features of settings that are of more benefit than the previous version ?
please help me as i am just a rookie in these rom flashing and Overclocking
Just thinking that new version always worth to flash otherwise why do they release it? Working on ROM is not something easy

It's newer cm code compiled into a Nightly release. Some nightlies are more stable than others, read the changelogs and bug for nightlies and you'll have an idea of what is fixed in a release and what is broken by an update.

ok great so does it mean that it should be more faster than the Rc0 or the nightly builds ? because CyanogenMod is MEANT to be a PERFORMANCE ROM so there must be some more speedy update to it in simple words right ?
Let me try this again, Nightlies are just the latest code compiled into a Rom, there's no guarantee you'll see any difference between one nightly or another so you have to read the changelog to see what code was changed.

[Q] wifi issue on aokp jellybean

I installed the Oct 19 aokp jellybean ROM and it works great no real issues yet. But I saw it was updated on the 26th and so I updated and my WiFi will not turn on. I'm fine with staying on the 19th version for now I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if they know how to fix it.

use Wifi fix manager to overcome ur problem mate
Thanks. The Oct 27th update works so I didn't need it. But I'll keep that in mind if it happens again.

[Q] cm10 nightly

CM-10 stable has been released on Nov 15. Why are there still nightly roms coming out these days? Shouldn't they work on cm-10.1 now?
Because there's always room for improvements, no software is perfect and somebody would stick to 4.1 instead of pushing his/her device too much with 4.2

It could also be that these updates are leading into the 10.1 builds .... and also there is always something that needs getting fixed

Because stable != final. Misconception a lot of people seem to have.

updating to CM 13

I have been really confused on updating it if I am able to or should. I am on the latest build of CM 12 as far as I know and have the latest twrp and I am wondering if I can update to cm 13 and keep all my files or if to much is broken and I should just wait for a bit

If you want to upgrade to the nightlies don't. Either upgrade to the latest Snapshot build or use Sultan's build which is on stable branch and has few issues.
Keep an eye on this thread if you want to flash CM13 Nightlies currently there are some annoying issues

Because it is lurking around for that time. Mokee has not much development going on. On all devices I've owned there was one initial build of mokee and after that nightlies build on that.
There have been some polaris specific updates a couple days ago. Any feedback on these?
Wondering if they will do a mokee 9.0 soon, other devices have it
EDIT: They did make mokee with android 9(along with 8.1). While I do hate they bug report system, I did flash it and I'm happy so far. Tried a few roms and mokee seems stable enough with good performance
