Because it is lurking around for that time. Mokee has not much development going on. On all devices I've owned there was one initial build of mokee and after that nightlies build on that.

There have been some polaris specific updates a couple days ago. Any feedback on these?

Wondering if they will do a mokee 9.0 soon, other devices have it
EDIT: They did make mokee with android 9(along with 8.1). While I do hate they bug report system, I did flash it and I'm happy so far. Tried a few roms and mokee seems stable enough with good performance

[Q] Best KitKat ROM for our XL

Hey!Which KitKat rom works best on Xperia L? There are many fixes, so I think that Android 4.4 is ready to daily use. But I don't know which rom is best:CM11, AOSPA Beta-6 or SlimRom?

I suppose you really wanted to ask was which KitKat ROM is stable and with least bugs at the moment and you got the reply accordingly!
However, to a normal user it might look as ROMs being compared which is against XDA policies. I suppose changing your words of your posts be great!
Every ROM is developed after a lot of hard work and telling one ROM is better than another doesn't seem fair either as everyone has different level of skills ! Not just that, one ROM which you prefer might not be suitable for someone's else daily use!

The developers usually write the bugs in the ROM with screen shots and what exactly the ROM has to offer!
If it interests you, go ahead and flash it !
You can ask for bugs, usual problems etc but not compare ROMs like : this ROM is better than this but you can give opinion like : I like this ROM as I find this x feature useful..

The only reason why I stated AOSPA beta 6 was because I've heard users saying that it's the most efficient Kit-Kat rom. (bug less)
Not because it's better than the others.

But best bug free ROM is coming...
Yeah guessed it right CM11 ....

No comparison threads between ROMs and kernels as these aren't allowed on xda. Reported.
Attention New Users!
"Best ROM/Kernel" threads are not tolerated on XDA. Why?
Because what somebody may say is a good ROM, may not work well on somebody else's device. Or Somebody else may not just plain like it.
Everybody has a different requirement, and things like this are considered "subjective". To determine what may be best for you;
1) Read the last several pages of a popular rom thread to determine any new issues in the latest release.
2) Try several ROMs to determine which you like, or works better for your taste.
3) Read the "Original Post" for known issues.
This is the only way to determine what is right for you.
Thread is closed.
Cheers!
MD

Now with CM dead, all CM ROMs die...what ROM now?

It seems a lot like my other thread, but I wanted to give a POV for others using CM (or CM based) ROMs alternative choices.
So where do CM users go for their OnePlus One?
LineageOS
Too beta for now.
Lineage is for all intents and purposes IS CyanogenMod. Stick with a stable CM build until the builds start coming back online.

Are the nightly\experimental builds OK to use daily or should I wait for a stable version?

It just picks up from where CM14.1 left off, so if you were using a CM14.1 nightly chances are the new nightlies will be the same. I'd say they're pretty stable for what it's worth, they're definitely the most concrete ROMs for this device.

the most stable OS for bacon as of now

I just wiped the whole data and system from my bacon and I'm looking for the most stable OS out there..with cyanogenmod dead and lineOS snapshots nowhere to be found what would you suggest me to flash on my OPO and have the most stable experience

Line Os Snapshots?
LineageOS 14.1 even though no snapshots available, it's pretty much stable I have no major issues with it and I went through ALL builds since it was released. It's the closest stock COS experience and I love it.
well you cant really go wrong with sultanxda cm
I would say wait for latest stable PA 7.1.2,it will be out in a couple of days for bacon.Read more about the rom here,

Moto X Pure Nougat Kernel Source Code Released

Link is here.
http://www.androidpolice.com/2017/0...-kernel-source-code-2015-moto-x-pure-edition/
Ironic that the Pure Nougat OTA update is nowhere in sight, but hopefully DEVS can use this to incorporate into their ROMS for the community.
WTH... haha...
Any idea when will custom ROMs apply this?
I'm afraid this doesn't bode too well for those waiting for the update. I'll be surprised though if there is an official update. :/ However, glad they released it now so that devs can take advantage of it.
Seems like they give up on the official update and released the source code for the dev community to do it instead...
Go home Motorola, you're drunk.

Kernel source > Official update
Will this be helpful in developing Nougat ROMs for Moto X Style too? Or Motorola has to release seperate kennel source for the style as well?
I think the article is misleading... The kernel source is for "Clark" but isn't that the Style too, and not just the Pure?

This is a good news for @invisiblek @Hashbang173
This is really good news. Doesn't say much for LG or former Motorola engineers , since they made the device.
Either way, I rather have the XDA community making an effort and seeing what they can accomplish. Thumbs up LG for releasing your latest foot print...looking forward to what XDA community can accomplish!
To all the naysayers, I'm still using my old HP Touchpad running Kit Kat. Maybe sluggish during updates, but suits my needs and if it ain't broken why fix it! Sorli...

that's leggit
So what does that mean for normal user? Could camera2 api be enabled in the future?
I'm on the Style (XT1572) and finally got the OTA today, is it updating to Nougat right now. Funny thing is that today I was about to accept a deal with my local carrier for a Mate 9 LOL...maybe I should re-consider, btw I'm in Mexico.

Interesting... Thanks for keeping us in the loop on the rollout. It's been quiet lately on the forums on whether or not the rollout was still happening.
... especially when they had released the kernel source just yesterday. I was paranoid that the rollout stopped completely due to a massive bug / issue just discovered.

No, well, probably not... The kernel source is more of interest to developers of ROM's, they can implement the code into things like LineageOS, AICP, RezRemix, etc... and remove the "hybrid" code they have that is Marshmallow and Nougat combined. In theory, it should remedy some of the issues people have on Nougat custom ROMs.
Any idea of witch costum ROM has implemented this?

Lineage. But it's an experimental build. Not daily driver material yet.

Implementing new kernel source can be tricky sometimes, give it a couple weeks, then initial builds implementing it should start rolling out... Be aware that if you have not upgraded to stock Nougat yet, this could cause more problems than it fixes since ROMs will be expecting you to have a Nougat partition table and radios...
I would expect most well maintained ROMs to have it fully implemented within 60 days.

Because los team will work on los15.1 now,as 8.1.0 is out.
Is it just my imagination or has it been a much longer wait for an official release of LOS 15 than LOS 14?

It has been, probably due to much changes in Oreo.My assumption is that it'll take another month for an official release,as they'll now have to work on 8.1.0.
Most of the lower end devices have oreo builds. infact many devices even have the pixel experience like on my moto g 2015..
dont know why Oneplus is behind in this area..

Ohh i know where its going..
I still love my moto g and team openkirin is on it for honor..
Treble support will make it a simple twerk..
Anyway i am satisfied with EMUI since it easily beats oxygen and stock android in terms of ram management and processes..although snapdragon would have been a better choice instead of kirin but At last got rid of flashing new roms every other day.. :kudos: to the opo team though i still use it as my backup after changing its battery..
