So SlimRom comes with 240 I think. I want to try and revert back to stock. I was wondering what the stock density was for this phone.
Thanks

Hi I've got a problem with JB roms : I can't change LCD res whatever the ROM I use. If I change the build.prop file it won't boot. Any idea ?

I too have this same problem. I have tried Bruce's CM10, Frankenstine's AOKP and the new AOSP (from Cile?) I prefer setting density to 200, but when I reboot in some cases I get no bootanimation at all (and the phone never seems to boot at all), or if I can get the phone to boot (using AOKP's built-in density changer), half of my apps are no longer compatible (despite following the recommended steps to resolve this). Note that for AOSP/CM10 ROMs I use LCD Density Modder Pro, which results in the phone not booting at all.
Has anyone been able to reliably resolve this?
Thanks in advance!

You guys should check out Paranoid Android in the dev section, it might be what you are looking for.

For those of you rooted with JB. Can you change your DPI setting? On ICS I fell in love with 180. When I upgraded to JB and lost root the stock 240 setting was horrible. Any apps like DPI modder working for JB?
cheers
Nope, see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1915761

Hi, everyone,
I tried to learn how to port miui for lg p500 by following rishabh.raj37's guide in another thread. Everything works fine except the theme and icon. I cannot post in the developer section, so I put my question here. Hope someone can help me.
I started with porting a working MIUI with cm7 nightly as the base. I tried to port everything to a newer cm7 nightly.
However, the theme does not work (cannot change) and the icons are small compared to the origin rom. Since the original works, i dont think it has anything to do with resizing the icons.
Does anyone know how to fix it? I must have missed out certain files to change.

another problem noticed is that the port rom has delay in turning on the screen while the base one does not. however, when i port it, the new rom also has the delay problem. any idea what is the cause? thanks
hrm... you should send a PM to neko95, Rashed97, popdog123, DJNoXD, Bytecode or adfad666, they seem to be the main ROM developers for the P500, maybe they could help you.

Sometimes it's the CPU freq and you need to set Min to 480 MHz.
What you mean is wakelock. Wakelock is often a problem, sometimes also in a tweaked ROM.
So set CPU freq to 480 MHz min.
Or just create a script and place it in init.d, if you want to share it here and don't want that everybody should set it manually.

thanks. the delay problem has been solved by flashing another kernel. hope this will help other people who has similar delay problems.
I am looking for a custom ICS rom for xt926. All the ones in the android dev section seem to have been upgraded to JB. Right now im using the stock version that came with my phone originally but i wuld like something thats been completely debloated. Any ideas?
I want to keep the hdmi overscan options that ICS has if youre wondering why i want this.
no? Ok well, is there a way to replace the MotoApps with their stock android counterparts? I wanted to do this with the clock (MotoDeskClock.apk in system/apps) but everytime i tried the clock would fc. I think it might have something to do with it being odexed but im really not sure.
Could just root it and remove all the bloat.
