Why does videos play in low quality on Facebook on 3g?
It is so blurry that I can't make out anything that is happening in the video but as soon as I put it on wifi and play the video it is great quality
Are the videos from YouTube? It'll automatically select a lower quality so you don't blow through your data because HQ videos require more data.

No not YouTube. I mean the videos you play on Facebook.
Becoz wifi has good network speed, hence it can buffer best quality vedio..
But on 3g may be the speed is less

That's what I mean. Isn't there a way to choose quality?

My Dear Friends
I am using HTC Touch HD running Windows Mobile 6.1 and stock ROM. I have the latest Youtube player installed to watch youtube through my wi-fi connection. However I don't like the Youtube video quality as it is a bit pixelated even on my wifi and there is no way to change it to high quality from the Youtube player. I have latest version of Skyfire too but even there I dont like the Youtube quality. Compared to this my Ipod Touch 3G plays high quality youtube on my wifi.
Is there any application which allows me to watch streaming youtube videos in high quality just like on Ipod Touch. I have searched the internet over the last couple of days but couldn't find a suitable application.
I shall be highly thankful and obliged if someone can guide towards such application for playing streaming High Quality Youtube videos
I watch a lot of videos on my phone, from YouTube, hbo go, netflix, megaviewer pro. But mostly full length films. I want to get the most out of my display but I keep screwing around and nothing is working.
I thought it was mentioned somewhere when advertising the inspire that it could play back 720p video. I broke blu ray copy of avatar down to a 720p mp4 file and while stills looked amazing, it just wouldn't play without getting jarbled up. There are a ton of settings, resolution, bitrate, buffer, etc.
What is the best possible quality video in all aspects that I can play on my stock player, but more likely vplayer. I goose vplayer because it has the most userchangeable settings. File size is not a problem as long as its under 5gb
Tried lots of containers and settings and everything either looks decent or harbors. I want awesome.
I use moboplayer free from the market & I can stream 720p mkv video from my network over wifi with no problems, plus it has settings for software or hardware decoding

I just updated to the newest YouTube app and the video quality is just awful. I've selected the HD video option in app settings, selected HQ in video settings, but its the same.
Is there some trick to play HD video?
Also, my internet connection is not the cause of this, because I can play 1080p videos on my PC without a problem.

I've had problems with streaming HD video on the youtube app before, I just found it was the wifi, as in distance from the router. I could be totally wrong but it worked for me, you might also want to try playing them through the browser not the app, that also seemed to make them stream faster, good luck.
Hi,
I recently bought the OPO and I've noticed that when I upload a video (1080p - H.264 AAC) on Facebook (via wifi), the video quality is poor. Youtube does not have this issue. At first I thought it was still processing but even after 24h, the video quality remain the same. I did upload more than once.
Am I missing something? I've compare with other people who upload their videos and I do see the HD option at the bottom of the video, but not mine.
Thanks.
I believe its a facebook thing. I think any mobile upload is low quality. But if you use a computer to upload the video there should be options..

its FB's video compression. YouTube and Vimeo will compress your HD videos much cleaner for sharing with other viewers.
I have a Nexus 6P. Very happy with it, "even" on Marshmallow.
It's my daily driver, and I have a very specific task for it, as a camera for Youtube Live videos.
Problem is, I only get 720p. The cameras are set to 1080p video. My Internet speed averages 60Mbps Wifi (measured where I record with the mobile).
Will Oreo let me livestream @ 1080p automagically, or is there a way to select stream resolution in Google's Youtube app?
