Any Application for watching Youtube in High Quality - General Questions and Answers

My Dear Friends
I am using HTC Touch HD running Windows Mobile 6.1 and stock ROM. I have the latest Youtube player installed to watch youtube through my wi-fi connection. However I don't like the Youtube video quality as it is a bit pixelated even on my wifi and there is no way to change it to high quality from the Youtube player. I have latest version of Skyfire too but even there I dont like the Youtube quality. Compared to this my Ipod Touch 3G plays high quality youtube on my wifi.
Is there any application which allows me to watch streaming youtube videos in high quality just like on Ipod Touch. I have searched the internet over the last couple of days but couldn't find a suitable application.
I shall be highly thankful and obliged if someone can guide towards such application for playing streaming High Quality Youtube videos

The average wm smartphone owner would wants the {Diamond<>Back<> Streaming Media Player} on their mobile device to access all those hot rtsp:// videos, music videos and news websites. In some countries over in South East Asia, this player will be used for live TV on mobile devices and in Europe some people will use it on their mobile device to watch the world news videos on BBC. Right here in the good old USA we use it to watch CBS news daily on the hour mobile video news updates, CBS sports, NFL news video and AccuraWeather video updates 24 Hrs a day via rtsp video feeds.
Jockyw2001 and I were the first to introduce a working rtsp:// zip file YouTube player smartphone version formated excusively for wm smartphone here at xda-developers several years ago. I was the first to come out with the blu-ray screen for the smartphone format. I offered the blu-ray screen on the wm smartphone rtsp:// video player long before HTC did it recently on SoftBank of Japan's Dash like smartphone.
On the other hand, with this new Diamond<>Back<> Streaming Media player, notice their has been no other rtsp:// streaming video player on the market with a blu-ray address/title bar at the TOP of the screen, another first that I have introduced.{see the photos above}, Whats so awesome about this rtsp:// video player, no wifi is required to stream the videos, the download is always ahead of the video data stream with Monster codecs on board for the highest video resolution quality similar to mobile Definition TV.
I have another super rtsp:// streaming video player called the "blu-ray screaming video player" this baby works on just about all wm smartphones and wm PDA devices via wifi, 3g. You can get it here at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=365248 and go down in post #1 to download #1, have fun.......!
Did you know, this new next generation RTSP streaming video player allows you to stream {LIVE BROADCASTS OR ON-DEMAND} media content from the web. You do not have wait until the entire media content is completely downloaded before watching the video or hearing the sound. The media is sent in a continous data stream to your device and is played as it arrives, along with the audio. This Streaming Media program allows to play 3GP and MPEG-4 files.
It also supports playback of SDP {Session Description Protocol} files an {SDP} file is a text file that contains the format, broadcast time, media content and other information about a live broadcast or it may contain a playlist and links to prerecored media files if you are viewing on-demand streaming media. Hi
this software run in wm6.1 standar ?

Flash streaming video is pixelated, is yours?

When watching streaming videos from websites is it pixelated on your device? I'm watching anime and dramas on sites and they are blockish looking. It did this on my pc back in the day with older divx/flash plugins as well.
(This isn't the case for sites like Youtube, etc. It is mainly on the anime sites).
It's because the resoluton of the video you are streaming is not high enough.
then the problem are with the videos you're watching. they must just be low-quality.
also, some sites stream lower quality videos depending on your connection speed, that can another thing to consider.
It's not those kind of squares that result from low quality vids.
The vids look fine on my desktop running at higher res.
These are little tiny squares.
try posting a screenshot.
The TF is terrible in playing flash videos via browsers. Check the videos on this site, for instance:
http://www.ittf.com/ittv/
I also cannot play any flash video on the espn3 site on the TF. On my other computers, all these videos play smoothly. Even on my Gingerbread Nook Color and on the 2.2 HTC Thunderbolt, they play smoothly.
Apparently the Xoom or the Galaxy Tab has no trouble playing flash. So something's wrong with the Asus implementation.

I watched a vid on that site on my TF and my laptop..
Those videos are low quality and the TF looked better than my laptop..(it was smaller)
I've streamed videos from youtube and vimeo and they look great. it all depends on what's going in...to determine what's going out.
yes I found it pixelated too. tried dolphin HD and the video quality is worst than playing it on stock browser. I downloaded the video file (using firefox plugin), the quality is much better played on stock video player. so I presume the flash player used by the browsers are set to certain quality.
Has anyone tried Ustream? I want to use Ustream but no joy,is there a fix for this?

What's the problem with Ustream ? It's working fine here.
I get pixelation when viewing ad videos on websites. Doesn't bother me at all.

The Tegra2 does seem to do less deblocking that you might get on a system with more spare CPU power. Nothing to do with "pixelation" though.

Video 720p, wifi, streaming, sharing

Hello. By searching it I find topics 5 years old, I couldn't find any solution.
I can read my network shares through file browser. I can play any videos by using mobo player, vplayer or rockplayer. I have noticed that 720p videos are very heavy, they are not smooth when software decoding, but they are smooth enough when hardware decoding with rockplayer : there will be no audio though.
- I have videos 720p on my desktop pc (mkv)
- I have a working wifi network with sharing
- I have a desire hd with enough video players and file explorers
What I want to do:
Over wifi, stream the videos on the phone without having the need to save other files. I was able to reproduce the videos WITHOUT waiting the download on the phone (stream), but they weren't smooth.
I guess 720p is too heavy for the desire hd?
So the questions would actually be:
1 - is there a way to stream the videos from the desktop pc hard drive with a quality INFERIOR to 720p ? Like a 'bitrate downgrade' on the fly, similar to what you would do on youtube by choosing the resolution you want for the selected video.
2 - Second solution (I may sound funny but I am not too expert in these things): is there a way to use the phone as a remote screen, that means the phone DOESN'T process the video. All the work would be done by the PC cpu which can run 720p just fine. The phone would just be a video output over the wifi, making the video pretty much smooth. Of course with enough buffer to get the video ready to go to the phone. Just like you can use the phone as a wifi camera, maybe you can use it as a wifi screen ?
Desire HD root, s-off, rcmixhd rom (sense)
VLC direct fixed everything for me. Can browse the whole pc, stream 720p with lower bitrate (extremely smooth and still sharp picture for a 4.3 display).

[Q] Problem playing videos from sensation over dnla to hd tv

Hello
I have a strange problem.
Yesterday I recorded a video(in 720P mode) with HTC sensation, came home, and played it normally on my samsung 40LEC650 HD TV over dnla(allshare), wirelles over phone.
Then I recorded some more videos (in all posiblle resolutions and sizes), tried to play them on tv, and error occurs - video codec not supported.
Then I tried again playing the first video, and it plays normally, just every other doesnt.
All videos offcourse in 3gp format.
What happened?? And what can I do to be able to play all videos?
Bor
I have the same issue. Samsung plasma tv. Video codec not supported on all but a couple of videos. Strange!

dnla problem
I think I ve found out what the problem is. Transfer your videos on to computer and check properties od each one. Check the bitrate and frames per second. It seems that tv doesn't play files with low bitrate or fps.
I ve recorded some videos, and those with bad sunlight (light from surroundings) have lower bitrate and won't play.
I think that's it.
Check YouTube user jemecb Video1- this one plays
Video2 (bad light) - my tv won't play
If anyone knows how to get past this please help
Greeting
There is a cameramod that, while it isn't widely agreed upon that it improves the quality of the image, does increase the bitrate quite a bit in the videos.
So if it's bitrate you need, then try the modded camera from the sensation development forum.

[Q] Before buying - Youtube playback

Hello
First of all sorry for my english, im not good at it.
I want to buy new TF101 3g for my wife in a few days since Prime is dissapoint (i need GPS functionality and strong wifi signal/3g )
She will mainly use it for web browsing, office documents and youtube watching.
How is OG transformer doing with youtube playback ? Does it have problems with HD videos at yt ? Does it shutters/slows ? Its very important for me.
I searched information for the past few days but couldnt find any actual useful info about yt playback.
Thanks for any answers.
no lag in HD playback
lag is only in Full HD (1080p) which is no problem in youtube videos (youtube will load 720p movies)
I've been using recently the TF for watching a lot of videos in YouTube and I haven't found any problem while viewing.
I've set it to get the HD version on full screen and WiFi and while on it, it just goes pretty smooth.
For the use your wife is gonna give it, its a really nice piece and it will surelly perform well.
you are using the youtube app right?
cause it's a very different experience with youtube vids between the app and browsing youtube on the web.
the app streaming is great but i noticed it wont show on searches all videos that you can have on the web browser.
It happens to all youtube mobile client (iOS/Android). It takes time for them to convert the video. Blame it on Apple and their flash BS excuse. At least on Android, we can just go to the youtube mobile website.
