There's no way that patch can solve display issue -_-
via HTC Sense

Using Sense 5 EX, i can't detect any great difference. Actually, i can't see any difference at all. Maybe its an issue with the way a certain roms work, or you display settings.

Maybe it's just problem of screen on some phones? Because I can't feel any difference.

I don't see any difference too.

Inspire 4G Camera Quality, Can it be improved?

Overall, I really like the Inspire. However, one thing I noticed, was the lack of "super fine" mode for camera. It also appears to have some exposure issues, despite tweaking. Does anyone have tweaks for improving picture quality (via lowering any compression that may be present, displaying hidden modes, etc..)?
Colors seem all wonky on my camera, like over saturated or something.
Anyone else notice any blurred edges? For example, my pictures seem to be blurred near the top right of every photo. Before taking the picture it looks fine, but goes out of focus when the picture is captured. I've also heard of other people having this issue near the top left corner.

I turned the "saturation" setting down to -1, seemed to resolve that issue.

I have not noticed that issue on mine. However, the images do seem a bit grainy, which is hard to believe, considering it is 8MP. That leads me to believe there is jpeg compression taking place.

Mine only seem grainy in unnatural light. Outside in sunlight this thing takes the best pictures of any device I've ever owned. Note: I'm no photographer, so "any device I've ever owned" is very limited, as is my photography expertise. I'm happy with the camera on the Inspire though
My camera works perfect.

I noticed when I was indoors setting ISO manually seems to work better than letting it set automatically. Sometimes it would be way too bright, sometimes too dark.
So what is the general impression about the camera? I've read and skimmed through a half-dozen reviews. Most say the camera is good, better than others, but all I really see is a blurry mess in the example shots. They also say the video is good, but I am not seeing that either. The brightness constantly changes and quivers and the video isn't very smooth or sharp. The audio recording is also very low quality and is my biggest complaint. This is in comparison to both a Samsung Galaxy S and Samsung Wave, which have pretty much the same cameras. And no I am not bashing the phone, because I might want to get it and like the other stuff like UI, alum body, natural-looking screen, etc. but am not to thrilled with the camera from the review pics/vids.

This issue seemed to resolve itself after adjusting the saturation to -1. The other option is manually adjust the white balance to florescent.

Changing the iso when using the flash helps too. Took a bunch of pictures last week and most came out really good.

Hi, i guess the quality of the picture will be great if you can sent the camera settings as follow: while you are on the camera mode, select menu= image adjustments= increase the sharpness to the limit, drag saturation half way down, contrast half way up, exposure half way down. by doing this, you will love your shorts.
I think my lense is kind of broken, as I see a red halo in the center of every photo I take. It's really annoying, although the saturation -1 trick improved it a little.

that does not look like a problem with your camera ... if you take a photo o a lcd screen .. at certain angles you will see rainbow colours .. that is purely because of diffraction ... if your camera really has a problem then the same rainbow colours have to appear when you take a photo of your street/car/sky etc ..
The problem in the angle the camera is not taking the picture please help.

Looks like virtuous infinity to me.
Which one? Alpha2? Alpha3?
A restart could help, if you're on an older alpha version you should look for the camera fix (if you have ov8810 that is)
Best solution would be to flash alpha3 and then get yourself Camera ICS+ - I use it as camera and it doesn't make problems at all - though the original sense camera ain't doing that either.

I think the solution is to flash the original. Can you help me find it?

My XZP Screen abnormal state

Hi guys, I received a XZP yesterday.
I found an abnormal phenomenon, when the screen display light things, it looks like a Oil canvas, crude.
Even I use 4k global display (BY [MOD] Change Default Resolution to 4k - No root needed!), this still happen.
I feel the screen is not smooth like Z2.
So is anyone like me?
BTW, the forum date is UTC ?

I'm trying to take photo with it, but no result. I need high resolution device to do it. I'm trying again. But it is very obvious on eye.
It happens because of atypical RGB matrix in XZ Premium display. There is more about it: http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_z5_premium_4k_display_under_our_microscope-blog-13887.php Its Z5 Premium but the same situation is in XZ Premium.

Got it, Thank you for your answer.
I think running 4K makes the phone to crash UI so maybe that's why it's not that smooth.
Try 2K like this video
I think what OP means is, that in real bright light the Screen gets boosted with some whiteish overlay to get a little more brightness. This looks really ugly and happens on my device, too.

Display Calibration

Now that we have Snoke Kernel which supports calibrating our displays, post your settings that you like. I prefer a cooler screen so here's my settings which gives a bit more saturation and close to pure white whites.
I used no colorimeter. This is only what appears nice to my eyes.
Since November ota, I've been using different display settings with the new saturated color function. Settings as follows.

Thanks for your recommendation. I'm always looking for something that can adjust the whitebalance of my Pixel 2. The screen look a little cold in my daily lighting ambiance, but it seems that you think yours is a little too warm.
Yes, my screen was to warm for my liking in stock form.

Really late to responding. But I just used your settings. The screen looks so much better than the stock settings. The screen was the only issue I had with the phone coming from a 6p. I still have to adjust to having a smaller screen since I didn't get the xl.

Those settings seem to look best on my device. Pure whites and colors pop without looking too overly saturated.

it does not matter , i've had 3-4 pixel 2 on hands at the same time and they all have slightly different screen temp/colors. you should do it on your own compared to a calibrated monitor.
With the Saturated Profile.
Another.

Yellow tint at the bottom half of the display

Hello everyone!
Did anyone notice this ugly yellow tint at the bottom of the screen? It about 1/4 of display along from camera side. Could anybody prove that the problem could be fixed by update? I have MIUI 9.5.16.0 ODGRUFA on my phone, official Russian rom.

I have already put the contrast to Increased. It has a little effect, but I steel see the warm tint at the bottom. It visible only on a white background and none-visible on any others colors (tested with Screen Test app). This not interrupting with using the phone and could be ignored, but my old Redmi Note 3 Pro has the clear white color and I don't understand how the top-phone like Mix 2s could has a defect like this.
I have created the same thread on the MIUI official forum and as I see this is the mass global problem, but not everyone notices the yellow tint. Many of users are talking about the same on the Russian forums (4pda, for example) .
install aida64 app and check whether its a 1080p jdi video panel
if yes then its a hardware panel calibration issue and u must try replacement as same happened with me on mi mix 2 in which i had 1/4 upper part red tint and this problem cant be solved by any software update and in worst case u can adjust its calibration by flashing a custom kernel which support kcal color profile but that will only reduce that tint and not completely eliminate it

As far as I know, there are only JDI panels. I did not find more than that when I searched the internet (which just criticized them for their low quality and the bad choice that Xiaomi made with these)
Yes, here is JDI, the only one panel in all Mix 2s smartphones.
