You know trying to sell a One X to all of us is like trying to sell ice to Eskimos.
There is also absolutely no way it is worth 350.

You thought the screen issue was bad on that phone, the HOS has two different processors! You should be OK in the US, but make sure you look into how to tell the S3 vs S4 processor from the outside of the box.
Yea, make sure you get the S4 processor. It is much better. To find out for sure; S4 = 1.5ghz and S3 = 1.7ghz. Trust us, S4 is better. One con about this device, the user only has ~10gb usable storage for music/pictures. Otherwise, great device.
EDIT: Most if not all US devices ship with S4, but be careful any ways.
Thank you for your reply. I saw threads with s3/s4 processors and that T-Mo USA provides only s4 (as far as reports go). I was not able to find any other issues reported in large numbers.. Thanks again!

I disagree, we have more freedom stock than an iPhone does or ever will have
And with root our phones blow away the iPhone
I've had them and I've jailbroke them for friends.
The only advantage I will say is the hardware is great and since they create the hardware and software it has better app development

The theming was nice, but man did all those tweaks and such slow my phone down. I reset it and gave it to my kid for gaming, and it was like I had a new phone it was so much snappier.
Contrast that to how much faster and smoother you can make an Android phone by rooting and romming it.
I don't think I'm going to regret jumping ship but I am curious to see where they go with this one.
I tried an iphone. Wanted to love it. Sold it and bought this phone on launch day. Love my ipad and mac but I'm android on my phone.
Leave the apple products to the people who don't have half a brain to learn something new. The Android ecosystem is always changing and dynamic, always something to be learned and discovered. Apple is just a closed and elitist ecosystem that died with Steve Jobs.
If Apple ever made their phones run iOS(i-open source) I'd think about it.

well ive been looking for an android smartphone i was using the lg optimus one the p505 phoenix it was really good but now i want something bigger
i was seeing the nexus one but i ve told that it has hardware problems that is not good so what others model can you suggest me to buy of course the one goes cheaper i meant 100-110 us on ebay
Hi, a phone is a phone is a phone ? Except when it gets silly looking a becomes a "phablet !"
I run a Samsung Galaxy GT-S5570 (mini) yes its small, but it does what I bought it for...
However if you are a power user I would choose a Droid Razor MAX its got a 31 or 3300Mh/amp battery, plenty juice to run your apps or WiFi all day-then some.
Then again if you just want a smart Droid that can do it all, I can't see past Samsung's range.
Check which flavour your new phone will run and if its going to get a newer version.
Hope this helps, good luck happy hunting
P.S. Don't be afraid to ask a salesman to boot up a fresh one,if you see one you fancy and the display version is dead or a dummy.
Regards Angela

No to the HTC wildfire s, it will be a downgrade in terms of specs and software, only upgrade is build quality and camera.
The HTC mytouch 4g is a nice upgrade and has a decent sized screen. Its a great choice

Looks pretty sweet, wouldn't mind one myself.
Suprised more of the press haven't made a big thing of this as I think it will be a massive seller

Wow,so great.Awesome!!!!!!!!
imho i wouldn't buy pc with android and windows 8.
maybe if I'd be a hardcore software programmer, developer or something like that, but as a typical user I'd settle only for one OS.
It's cheaper this way
Simply wow!
But imagine how much this thing is going to cost - it would be enormously expensive than a typical android tablet and much expensive than a windows PC / windows laptop - so I can't see how this can sell well if it comes with a big price tag which for sure it will come with.
$1200 he mentions in another video

Asus is the most innovative company nowadays. I'm waiting for their Padone 2 with docStation. It's brilliant! I'm trying not to be hater... but have Apple created anything innovative?
What do you think if we start a facebook group or page !
I think the petition is a good start, but we need to get htc attention!
One way could be to create a page or a group on facebook of disappointed customers that can start a campaign consisting in posting on Htc related pages to express the disappointing of this shameful updates policy!
I started a group and a page on facebook, there are the links: GROUP and PAGE
We can do the same also on Goggle+!!!!
What do you think? what else we can do?
We can try, but I think that normal users/customers like us havent enough power to change htcs decisions..

Just do it we have nothing to loose now and HTC have every thing to loose.
This is not just about the one s but all there phones the more people that no there will be no updates on there phones the more people stop buying them , including there flagship phones.
I joined the group and liked the page. I think it makes it harder to defend android phones when we have this kind of lack of support and updates. At least for the average user who doesnt want to root.
Sent from my HTC One S using xda app-developers app
Apparently Qualcomm isn't supporting HTC with needed drivers for the s3 models and in conclusion there's no update for either device... They even said that the current stock Rom is already perfectly optimized so there is no need for an update in the first place. What kind of twisted logic is that? The phone has 2 years warranty and one year passed and update support already ends? If they pull through with this, this is my last HTC phone..
