Hi to all,
I'd like to present you my app, an aircrack-ng gui for the android phones which support monitor mode, i.e. bcm4329 and bcm4330 based ones.
It relies on the work made by the guys here: http://bcmon.blogspot.com/
thread on xda: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1892535
*** Download ***
You can download the apk from the attachment in this post. If you plan to use the new method, you don't need the debian image, and use bcmon.apk to enable monitor mode (download here). For the old method, with compiled module, you need the debian image here:
http://bitshare.com/?f=9qu56f6g
Mirror:
http://ge.tt/9GoRy9e
*** Installation ***
PREREQUISITES:
This program needs a rooted phone, with superuser/supersu, and busybox installed.
INSTRUCTIONS:
-New method (with bcmon.apk)
1. Install bcmon.apk from here http://code.google.com/p/bcmon/downloads/list
2. Enable monitor mode through the app
3. Load aircrackgui app and use it (switch to new method if necessary through settings menu)
-Old method (with pre-compiled module):
1. Extract the content of sdcard.rar to your sd card root, it will be /sdcard/aircrackgui
2. Compile your patched module and copy together with firmware in "module" subfolder (/sdcard/aircrackgui/module)
Put ONLY one module/firmware.
Here is a guide on how to compile the kernel + module (you have to replace the module sources with those from bcmon).
-You can always switch to both methods through settings menu-
Currently these chipsets are supported:
**BCM4329**
Mobile phones: Nexus One, Evo 4G, Desire, Desire Z, Wildfire S
Files needed: fw_bcm4329.bcmon.bin, bcm4329.ko
**BCM4330** (No packet injection)
Mobile phones: Galaxy S II
Files needed: bcm4330_sta.bcmon.bin, dhd.ko
Original work, firmwares, and some bundles here:
http://bcmon.blogspot.com/
3. Install AircrackGUI.apk
*** How to use ***
1. Start the application and click "Enable Monitor Mode" to load the patched drivers.
Once the controls are unlocked, scan for Networks (you can change the time to scan in seconds).
Select the desired Network, and start capturing on the second tab.
2. If you are attacking a WPA/WPA2 network, you can deauthenticate (broadcast/clients) to get the Handshake. Once you get it, you can stop capturing and start cracking, even though it's very slow on
phone, and would be better to do this from a pc. In the application folder is included a wordlist.txt
file that you can replace with your own.
The application picks the last captured file for cracking, so you can start cracking later, until you
don't capture again, however all the files are kept in "capture" subfolder.
3. If you are attacking a WEP network, you can start Fake Authentication on the first tab. You have to
start capturing first, because Fake Auth needs the channel to be fixed.
If the network uses Shared Key Authentication, you have to Deauth a client first to get the XOR file.
Once you get it (you can check the capture tab), restart Fake Auth, and it will use the file automatically.
Then you can start ARP Replaying on the third tab, to increase the IVS Capturing rate.
Finally you can crack the wep key using the same tab.

Ehi. Welcome to XDA, Deviato!
You finally moved to Android development!
Edit: I'll try the app as soon as I put my hands back into my old HTC Desire.
P.S. I know you since 12 years from other "boards".
nice one!!!
glad to hear cool programs like aircrack is going on phones.
it will support Xperia 2012 phones??
Hope it gets to all phones. Not working.

will this work on galaxy nexus?
Could you give me a mirror link ?
I can't download it the file is broken and I must wait before I can download it again.
Ok, I'll say once for all:
this is only a GUI to aircrack-ng, it needs monitor mode drivers
So, don't ask support for your specific device, go check yourselves if your chipset is capable, from terminal:
Code:
getprop|grep chipset
or, while wifi is active,
Code:
lsmod
Currently only BCM4329 and BCM4330 (partial) are supported, to compile the driver follow the link on the first post, I've not developed the drivers.
About step 2, is there a way to compile the driver for cm10.1? Bcmon project provides pack for sgs2 cm9, but I prefer 10.1.
I hope I can find a way to dual boot ICS and jb to use this app fully. :good:

You can use an older version of Dorimanx or Siyah. I believe 7.xx versions of Dorimanx can dual boot ICS and JB, but for 4.2.2 you'll have to use an older nightly (before new Mali drivers). If you ever decide to go on with this please report back :good:
For App Dev : Also Galaxy S I9000 have bcm4329.
Any hope for eventual support for Sph-L710 (sgs3)?

Because the App "Linux Installer" does not work very well on defy(missing /proc/config.gz and mkfs.ext*-binaries) I wrote a simple patch which adds these functionalities so LinuxInstaller will work without any problems.
This patches your android-system and NOT the LinuxInstaller-App.
After the patch has been installed every LinuxInstaller will work and you don't net to apply the patch again after updating!
The only important setting which you have to make in LinuxInstaller is to set the ext-version to 3(CM7) or 4(CM9 with ext4-support). ext2 is not supported by our kernel.
Description for Devs:
Code:
This does two things:
- replacing mke2fs-binary with another one which supports mkfs.ext2, mkfs.ext3 and mkfs.ext4
- installing ikconfig as kernel-module. this adds the node "/proc/config.gz" so the App can determine the phones configuration
Thank u!
will try...

UPDATE: added injection support for bcm4329 firmware
I just uploaded a new patched firmware version for bcm4329, this version adds raw packet injection support.
Issues
Low injection speed - on my nexus one the injection is working really slow. It seems that the injection speed starts fine but then slows down to as slow as ~700ms per packet.
Radiotap - we don't handle radiotap on packet injection. 'aireplay-ng' works fine with it but tools like 'reaver' seem to require it.
Greetings,
We are a group of 3 researchers and in the last few weeks we have successfully added "monitor mode" support to the common broadcom wifi chipsets: BCM4329 and BCM4330. We have a working PoC on Galaxy S 2 and Nexus One.
We opened a new blog with all of the details at:
http://bcmon.blogspot.com
For the lazy ones the current status is:
bcm4329 - Fully working monitor mode on our Nexus One
bcm4330 - successful PoC - monitor mode on Galaxy S II
We havent tested it yet, but if you have a phone with one of those chipsets (and you most probably have one), it should also work on your phone too.
We would appreciate any comments on the forum or to our mail "contact dot bcmon at gmail dot com"
Its been a long day (with little sleep) so good night/morning and enjoy
Ruby, Yuval and Omri
UPDATE: if you had wireless-tools errors with airodump-ng try the new utils.zip version.
Awesome!!! The bcm4330 is fully functional?

We are still working on packet injection but monitor mode is fully functional.
Since you use CM10 you will need to compile the kernel object yourself.

I honestly don't know much about anything related to this topic, my guess is it has something to do with the kernel. I'm running Siyah Kernel v4.1.5 and booted the CM ROMs with dual-boot.
I tried the dhd.ko uploaded by MemoryController, but get the same error.
I'll check tomorrow if something new came up here

Uploaded kernel image and module, look at first page
If you get "Can't find wireless tools, exiting."
Solution: Make sure you have 'iwpriv' on your system, just add soft link from 'iwpriv' to 'iwconfig' (actually it is 'iwmulticall')
if iwconfig dosen't work you will need to compile it with your libs, maybe I'll make a statically linked version of iwmulticall later today.

[ FAQs ]
====================================================
Q1 : How to increase the abnormal limitness of volume of earpieces?
A :
http://koganefusube.blog.me/70167096326
SGS4 in South Korea has Yamaha's sound codec(YMU831) and the parameters of all of the volumes can adjustable in rom.
/system/etc/ysound.xml does, and I found that the stock values of them limited in 81.
I just changed from 81 to 100 and tested on my sgs4.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Q2 : What recovery can I use?
A :
You can use recoveries for i9500(not 9505) to E300S, E300K(I can't sure for E300L but if you know clearly plz post that)
Now I'm using Chenglu's touch CWM 6.0.2.3 and flashing update.zip and making/restoring CWM backups are working fine.
Chenglu's recovery => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2267820
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Q3 : How to set the wallpaper in the full resolution without the notification bar?
A :
http://koganefusube.blog.me/70167678454
A way to solve this is editing stock sammy wallpaper application.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Q4 : How to root?
A :
1. Change your recovery be CWMed.
Like uppon FAQ, I suggest you Chenglu's CWM Recovery.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2267820
2. Download SuperSU v1.32
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053
3. Reboot into recovery mode(VolUP + Power + Home button for few seconds)
4. Flash SuperSU v1.32 you downloaded.
5. Reboot your phone.
6. Enjoy
In 20130519, phyb the developer in matcl announced his work. Thx to him if you want and helped by for your geeky smartphone life
※ You'll meet an error if you disabled and re-enabled su via SuperSU. If you do that, a way to reroot as flawless is just rebooting your sgs4. Then, SuperSU will work fine.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Q5 : What EQ or audio effect can I use? Stock MusicFX is boring and useless
A :
I suggest you 'ViPER4Android' if you got root your SGS4.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223
I tested and applied flawless on my SHV-E300S.
It's funtionality is awesome and better than MusicFX or any EQ apps which doesn't require root permissions.
※ Note : Be sure CWM backup first for something unpredicatable situations, and some of functions in this mod consumes battery and system resources much than before you applied.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Q6 : I can't access the hidden modes from inputting 319712358 via dial pad to change the settings about RIL
A :
E300S can access skt hidden mode with 'skt hidden mode +'. You can search it on Google Play.
I don't know about other ones(sorry) but if you know about the another way like this post the reply anytime
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Q7 : I want to hide the suggested application list when I plug my earbirds at my sgs4. How can I?
A :
Unfortunately, SGS4 doens't have the setting UI about PageBuddy unlike previous sammy android smartphones
So if you want to do that, debloat all of the apps about PageBuddy.
(Or maybe just disable PageBuddyNotiSvc in Settings? I can't sure about this... if someone try and this is the way what I meant, post the reply anytime )
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Q8 : My sgs4 mobile data connection looks slow even if I connected in LTE. What should I do to be better?
A :
Disable fast dormacy and disable geltle fair sleeper.
You can use gokhanmoral's FastDormacy toggle in SGS4 to disable fasl dormacy
and you can disable gentle fair sleeper with inputting a line in terminal.
( echo "NO_GENTLE_FAIR_SLEEPERS" > /d/sched_features )
You can apply this code as init.d script or any apps doing like this
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Q9 : I want to change the color of notification bar and panel. What should I do?
A :
Install Xposed Framework and Nottach Xposed.
Xposed Framework : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
Nottach Xposed : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2285074
Note : Nottach Xposed is not for SGS4 in Korea as official so if you meet any bugs in use, that's not a bug. Just not fit for.
Note : Don't change the battery icon. If you do that, Nottach Xposed will be applied as abnormal.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Q10 : Default background of Holo UI looks not fit for XXHDPI(FHD). Can I change it?
A :
Install Xposed Framework and DitheredHoloBackground
and use the app what I uploaded in this thread.
DitheredHoloBackground : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173001
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Q11 : How to remove the carrier logo on the status bar with editing SystemUI.apk?
A :
1) Open the SystemUI.apk with Alzip
2) Go to res\drawble-xxhdpi and change tw_stat_notify_operator_logo.png into a picture filled blank with overwriting that file.
I attached an image file to change.
Note : If you just delete this image file in SystemUI.apk you want to edit and reboot after paste this, you'll be under endless reboot.
3) Paste the SystemUI.apk into your phone and reboot
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Q12 : Is there a way to make a CWM backup and restore it as easy?
A :
You can use Online Nandroid Backup and Nandroid Manager,
You can make a CWM backup without rebooting into recovery via Online Nandroid Backup.
(Note : If you want to use this flawless, install busybox stericson's one)
You can restore a cwm backup and flashing 'update.zip's as you want as possible without rebooting into recoveryt via Nandroid Manager.

One thing that I would do to help make this thread complete is to add the stock non rooted kernels to the OP. That way if someone messes up they can fix their phone without any problems.
I haven't updated to the ME6 firmware yet. I still have the stock firmware (out of the box) MDK. Do I have to update/flash the kernel posted here to root?

If you have stock sammy rom, you don't have to look for the stock kernel.
Just make a copy the stock rom and open the tar package with data compressing softwares(alzip?) and delete files except boot.img in the tar package. Then, that's the stock kernel to turn back.

MTP
Mobile data (on LTE version of N7)
Not really smooth

These ZIP files act like an Android ROM, so the installation is the same as usual - do a factory reset in recovery and flash the ZIP file.

any chance to support LTE version?
thanks
Thank you so much for this. I tried to look at doing it myself but had not had time to fully read and figure it out. Can't wait to see this in action.

It supports DEB, there's just no LTE signal.
it won't boot. I get a pink screen. Could it be the host kernel I use? I thought this would load whatever kernel was in the new ROM. I use glitch kernel for latest CM nightly.

No, bluetooth does not work. It acts as if it would, but it won't find any devices.
Why wouldn't I put system and data in one file? It belongs together, /system contains gecko.

But webapps contain in /data/local/webapps ?
or /system/b2g/webapps on your build?
Those are just apps, gecko itself is in /system/b2g, and I suppose it differs between firefoxOS versions.
@Tasssadar
easier to make flashable zip
extract this file into B2G/out/host/linux-86
and run
Code:
./build.sh otapackage
Just got it running in multirom, works alot better then i expected! Thanks Tassadar, this will be fun to play around with :silly:
I too finagled this to work with MultiROM!! Thanks Tassadar, this is pretty baller.
Nice @Tasssadar !
I'll flash this once I get home and give her a whirl.

Don't know if anyone else said this but if you try to use the notification bar in 1.3, it will just stay down and won't go away. I know it is in development. Also can we flash a custom kernel for it that does not use the Kexec patch?

Please change your SELinux to 'permissive' and try again. You can use the app SELinux Mode Changer for that.

There's no ACs and projectors in this version.
Both versions are confirmed working on BlissPop 3.3... But I'm from India and I use Asianet set up box in my home... But its not available in both versions.. Its there in LG Stock ROMS.. I tried with other remotes,, but can't make it to work.. Can you please add the Asianet remote to the set up boxes list? Or any idea on how to?

You can create your own remote by selecting "+" then "universal remote"

Really? I couldn't get it to work. I'm using Peel Remote from play store it works great.
You HAVE to set SELinux to permissive. It works just fine on CM13... And if you haven't flashed zip before, it can't work.
