[Q] power button double press.. - HTC Pico (Explorer)

I had hear that double pressing of power button is caused by OS problem..
Is it true or what.?

Nope. AFAIK, it is caused due to kernel. It may also be a hardware defect in somecases. No one has been able to get to the root of it yet. Its absent in some of the latest ROMs though . Try this Power button guide
And FYI this question / discussion is already there here.Power button problems.

[Q] Move Power Button?

Is it possible to eliminate the power button / move it to another button?
One of the biggest (pretty much only) hardware complaint for me is the power button on the side of the Charge.
I am use to having the power button on top of the phone.
I am always hitting the power button by mistake. What a pain.
It would be nice to move it to the search button.
Please help, Thx!

How do you take a screenshot on Android 4.2 without a hardware volume or home button?

The only hardware buttons I have are Power and Esc.. oddly. Valid answers do not involve rooting or connecting other devices.
Cheers

Volume Down +Power
Sent from my GT-S5830i using xda app-developers app
Set one of your soft keys "long press" to screenshot,,, not all ROMs have this ability though
Amazing that someone actually said "volume down and power"...
Anyway turns out you just go to settings > screenshot settings > enable button. Or something like that. All very obvious really.

Almost all ICS+ devices have Volume Down + Power button for screenshot if I'm not wrong. That's why I said it

Are you running a custom ROM or is it stock AOSP?

Again, this is already answered. And again by me. Doesn't this forum have a "mark as answered" button?
Come to think of it the last time I got an answer here was probably before these forums included Android. Not sure why I still bother..

Power button dead - T/C possible?

Hi all,
So it's a few days the power button seems to be kaput! The phone only wakes up by removing and re-inserting the battery and after the screen turns off there is no way to turn it on again (unless I receive a call for example). So first I thought I'd just replace the power key as I thought it would be just a clip-on circuit but no! it's soldered to the main board.
Right, next thought was to look whether Touch Control / Sweep 2 Wake-Sleep etc. is possible. I've used this feauture on newer Nexus devices so hoped something would be available for poor old I9023 as well. However, bponury's T/C app is not available for Nexus S and I can't seem to find any S2W/S2S kernel either. It's a long time since I was following Nexus S development closely so is there something similar that will allow me to not throw away the phone or am I looking in vain?
Thanks!
Use volume rocker to wake phone and remap the search button for power

Volume Rocker Wake should be a custom rom's option I suppose? I will look into it.
Regarding remapping search button, I've searched at Play for "button remap" but seems this kind of apps have disappeared! Any link?

This might be sort of an overkill solution....
Install SlimBean 4.2.2 ROM. It has volume rocker wake AND button remapping.
I've been using the ROM since months and haven't used the power button at all.

Volume rocker fix. ( Request )

T-Mobile debranded One Plus 7 Pro here, wandering if there is any mod, or root, to fix the delay for pressing volume, and how many ticks?
I hate pressing the volume for no instant response, pressing only pulls up the volume adjuster but doesn't move the volume without being held for a short delay. Also why so many ticks? So if anyone has a fix please help me out, as I'm sure others have the same issue and would like a fix as well ty.
