Have you flashed boot.img from that rom?
Probably that's the problem ,if you're htc dev unlocked than you'r S-ON and you need to flash the boot image .Unzip the rom you have flashed and find the boot.img and flash it .
oh thats my problem, I have a habit from desire, only copy and install ROM. Thanks

You need to flash boot.img everytime that you flash a new rom.
1. Extract boot.img from the ROM you want.
2. boot into recovery, select fast boot
3. In command line type: fastboot flash boot boot.img [press enter] (in folder where you installed fastboot)
thats it!
should we flash the rom afterwards

Which rom are you trying? Normally there is in root of zip
I have problems installing CyanogenMod on my HTC One S. When I install it, it gets stuck to boot loop. I was able to recover stock rom using backup I made. I have tried installing twice.
What I have been able to do:
- Unlock bootloader via HTCDev
- Install ClockworkMod
How I try to install CM:
1. I copy zip downloaded from here to phone: download.cyanogenmod.org/get/jenkins/50987/cm-10.2.0-ville.zip
2. I shutdown my phone by long pressing power button.
3. I boot to bootloader by pressing volume down and power.
4. I connect the USB cable (It doesn't boot to recovery otherwise, I don't know why. If I don't connect USB cable it instead boots to black screen.)
5. I select recovery and phone boots to ClockworkMod
6. I select wipe data/factory reset
7. I select install from zip and select the CyanogenMod zip
8. Phone says Installing update... and succeeds in it
9. I select reboot system now
10. Phone is now stuck in boot loop
What do I do wrong?
You are s-on right? You need to flash boot.img from cm-10.2 zip. Just extract the boot.img and flash it via fastboot

I'm having the same problem on the C2 variant, except I'm stuck on boot animation. I did flash the boot image found in the zip file.
Anyone having the same problem?

Yes I have S-ON. If I flash boot.img via fast boot will I be able to restore stock ROM if I want to? How is that done? Do I flash boot.img from my backup via fast boot?

I'm not sure %100 if you wil be able to restore stock rom since i didn't try with s-on, but if you have boot.img in that backup, you might need to flash it after restoring process and you should be fine

Happens ever time when I try to flash a new ROM. The phone will get stuck at the splash screen and nothing else happens. The default backup I made works fine, but if I try any other ROM, it freezes.
Currently using TWRP 2.6.3.0, rooted, and bootloader is unlocked.
Any suggestions?

Without s off you will need to manually fastboot flash the boot.img of every Rom you flash. Recovery has no access to boot partition without s off.

Not my thread, but it still kinda applies:
What about if I'm flashing a stock RUU and it gets stuck on the splash screen (or boot loop)?
Currently the phone has a relocked bootloader and S-ON.
Can't really access much else.
Ideas?

I would run RUU with a freshly formatted sd card. Make sure RUU flash is completed as well and you aren't trying to downgrade or anything. Other than that your emmc may be toast.
Hello there,
Yesterday i started to unlock bootloader and install twrp. Then i rooted my phone with magisk. After that i wanted to permanently flash twrp. And i made wrong decision. Flashed in twrp over boot partition.
Now the phone boots only to twrp everytime i reboot to system.
Is there any solution to flash just the boot partition?
I made no backup (yes i know, shame on me. First time using root)
Can someone provide me that boot partition wich i can put on a sd card and fladh it with twrp?
Or can i just flash venom rom for u12 ( i only have the magisk edition on my pc. Is it possible to put than on a sdcard and flash it in twrp?
Please i need some step by step help.
Thanks in advance
Yeah, just flash the boot image in download mode (you can find the boot image on XDA, just look for your Cid)

(SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH)
I have htc desire 620
and its stuck at logo. I was trying 2 firmwares but still flashing always ended with errors.
now the phone don't have RUU mode anymore after flashing with aruwizard flashtool(aruwizard flashed stock succesfully but when i restarted phone it was still not booting) so i tried installing stock from sd card after some progress phone restarts and stuck at logo(
). and i found twrp backup with stock but i have locked bootloader and i can't unlock because when i unlock bootloader phone reboots to recovery to do a factory reset but i don't have even stock recovery
Once you flash TWRP device's Stock Recovery gets removed.
Typically flashing a Stock ROM is done via the ADB Sideload method.
