Hi all
I rooted my phone with Paranoid Android 3+, now i can't connect to Wifi nor create a Wifi hotspot.
It can search and find all the available Wifi hotspots, save them but with no Internet access.
As for creating a Wifi hotspot, my computer shows that there's network by asking me to choose between a home or public network, thereafter there's nothing.
Please help!

I am looking for an app that incan create a WiFi hotspot WHEN I am on WiFi. For example, if I'm on an aircraft and there is WiFi, I want to connect to it then create a hotspot so my other devices can tetjer to my connection (because you only are allowed one connection and its a paid service called GoGo).
So whenever im on a secure wifi connection I want to be able to create a further sub hotspot.
There's an app for my PC called Mhotspot which does exactly this. But the Android version just kills my WiFi and activates the in built Mobile Hotspot, which is not what I want.
Anyone?

I live in the countryside where Internet service providers charge quite a bit for even a 6Mbit connection so I use my android for everything. I have a local network around the house for sharing files and media. Every time I need to transfer files I must turn on wifi on my android to connect to my home network, share the file, then disconnect again in order to browse the Internet on my phone. Is there any way to stay connected to my home network and still browse the Internet on my phone?

You could use an app in the market called Tasker. https://play.google.com/store/apps/...askerm&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDNd
You can set up a profile to turn on WIFI when you open the app that you are moving files with. When the app is closed Tasker will shut WIFI off.
Apparently there's an app called Super Download that enables multiplexing over both 3G and Wifi connections. I'm not sure if it will work in your situation, but I suppose it's worth a shot.

I will try both of these recommendations and hopefully one will work. Thank you

Wifi hot spot means to broadcasting capability, i.e in case of a router it has hotspot which broadcast the network. router only connects devices to it's network or gateway. router dont use this wifi to get connected to another network. because it is impossible to do broadcasting and also to receive another broadcast from another device using only one gateway.
So if you are connected to a network using wifi then how you will be able to broadcast or create a wifi hotspot??
May be I made you understood..
Hi,
does anybody of you have problems when connecting to an unsecured free wifi network? Most of the networks require accepting some rules after you have connected (via a browser page).
In KitKat, mobile network was disabled as soon as I connected to a wifi. So I could open my browser and the "usage terms" page of the wifi appeared.
With Lollipop, the mobile network stays enabled as long as the wifi network can't access the internet. So I can't open the web page for accepting the usage terms of the wifi... ---> using an unsecured wifi is only possible when I turn off mobile data before connecting to the wifi...
