[Q] How do I install stock firmware when LG Optimus One is stuck fastboot mode - Optimus One, P500, V Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone, I know there are solutions for this all over XDA, there are too hard to follow since I dont like rooting androids, but just hear me out.
I'm trying to fix my brother's phone, It's a Tmobile LG Optimus One T.
He rooted it, and installed CyanogenMod 7, then he did factory reset, so it got stuck in the Android logo when you turn it on.
So I wanted to uninstall cyanogenmod and install the Stock ROM Firmware.
I installed SDK on my laptop, and Im looking for the stock files.
I know he should have made a backup before he installed cyanogenmod but it got deleted after he erased the SD card.
BTW, I unmounted the system and data files by accident because I thought I could remount them after I reboot, instead it got stuck in Fastboot mode.
Right now the cell phone says this when you turn it on:
fastboot mode started
udc_start suspend
Please help.

Oh? I have just rooted my lg p500 a few weeks ago with this method. Phone came preinstalled with froyo 2.2.1 old baseband (v10) and the gingerbreak method worked like a charm...
But sure, maybe they come in different configurations and the above no longer applies for you- good luck and I hope you root it soon

Ohh how my friend? Do u have LG p500???
And where i find unlockroot?
Help me plz
Yes I have a p500 with new baseband (2.3.3) I rooted by downloading unlockroot23 onto my PC (Google search) connecting phone to PC and running the unlock program, it's pretty easy. Open the unlock program and look it over before you connect your phone so you have an idea of what you'll be doing. Good luck!

Now you need to go to the play store and get "ROM manager" open it and install cwm ( clockwork mod) that will be your new recovery. From there you can make a back up and install new ROMs/kernels. You should also open super user and busy box to make sure they are installed and up to date.( they should have been installed when you rooted) good luck!

Asus tf101 won't read in computer

I have a few problems here... I was updating my cm unofficial Rom last night and before I did I made a mistake of using Rom manager and put the latest touch recovery on it.... I can boot to recovery and tried several times to flash over it but stays the same. Second I can cold boot to cm 10 but don't have wifi at all.... So I can't re flash through goo manager. Main problem is when I plug the tablet in the computer it charges but won't read it... I tried re installing all drivers I tried 3 cables and 2 computers.... Please if anyone knows how to get this thing to read so I can push new software to it.. Jeff

If your data is not that important, use Easy Flasher to go back to stock.
Then root it, install Goo Manager and in the settings, install openrecoveryscript for TWRP recovery and there's roms and other stuff in Goo Manager as well.
It sounds like I had this same experience with the recovery problem . You have to revert back to 5.4.0.4 or so. I dont remember exactly where I found it but you also must use a terminal emulator t suppress your current version AFTER you flashed it from your current recovery yet BEFORE you go back to view the older version after its flashed, I know there isn't much information there but I looked and looked and looked and finally found this way, hope my information serves you as at least a starting point to fix it

However I still can't get it to read via usb to computer.. Tried 3 cords... Windows xp, Windows Vista, and windows 7 all with Asus utility and drivers installed.... I can't get it to read in apx mode either.... I tried to flash a stock rom but now getting unable to mount /staging..... Please someone help

This MAY help, go to your Settings>Storage>Menu (Three dots on top left of screen) once there check to make sure it is connecting as a media device. This is just a suggestion as I have not actually tried this out and am also interested for similar reasons if it will work.

I get the same warning, but it works fine regardless. I always figured it was for some other devices that had that partition...
Tried it still not working... I did a full wipe of all data and internal in TWRP recovery and then restored a nandroid of stock rom w root and still nothing... I tried to full wipe of all available options in recovery and loaded recover 4.2.1 and again nothing computer won't read it and got the staging error at then end.... I have a fully functional tablet except for usb and this could be a problem if it bricks.... The last rom I had on there before problems was cm 10 12-30-12 before I tried eos 4 and this all began... I was only available to load cm back on but with out wifi out of all ROM's bc all failed at install..Finally got an old nandroid restored w new recovery after the cwm loop was solved. so everything is working except usb . I have been reading and reading seemsike common issue but no fix...

Hey,
I have the same problem, the ASUS Service center told me that motherboard needs to be replaced. They are charging me around Rs. 14000 (~$250) for the motherboard replacement which i believe is too much. Kindly suggest whether you were charged the same or did you get it done from elsewhere.
Also, I initially got the problem due to failed CWM recovery and thus it seems to be software issue. Is there any way it can be recovered without motherboard replacement.
I actually bought it through walmart and had the protection plan... I'm getting a refund for full amount since parts aren't available... $540.00 refund check... The only problem I had was connecting it to the computer via usb...It wouldn't read... I also had a clicking noise at boot... The talet ran fine... I'll take the refund and just get another tablet now

Need Google apps package..

Hi all. Today I installed CyanogenMod 10.1 using twrp on my newly rooting phone. I followed a youtube video by Graeme Biggs. I should have watched it fully before I started. I neglected to download a Google apps package. He said I could find it on XDA. I did a search and could not find it. Can somebody point me in the right direction to this file? Thankyou.

Your signature says HTC One. Is your phone an HTC One or an HTC One XL? That's very important to know because you can brick your phone if you install the wrong software.
Hi. I was using my one to post in the forum. I was installing CyanogenMod on my Rogers one x.

You should fully research and understand any root/mod process, before you start it. You also shouldn't rely on YouTube guides, this being one of the many reasons.
Yes thanks. I realize I should have done a little more research. I will certainly in the future.

So I went and plugged my one x into my PC so U could try abd flash the Google apps package and my phone does not show up as a removable drive. Since my **** up with trying to install cyanogenmod, my phone has been in continuous bootloop and only going as far as the HTC screen before rebooting. I can get it into twrp. How would I be able to get the zip file from my computer to my phone? Is there something else I need to do to fix this problem? Thanks for any suggestions.

Go into TWRP, connect your phone to pc, select mount in TWRP menu, select mount usb storage, your phone should show up as a removable drive now, copy file from pc to phone.

Thank you so much Timmaaa. I thought that there must be a solution.I will try in the morning.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Hi Timmaaa. I tries what you suggested and it still did not show up on my computer. My computer makes the same sound as it always does when an external device is attached. When in tarp and I press mount, a window opens up which shows the storage. It says SD card (0MB). Should something be checked off in partitions to moun t? I tried to mount the SD several times an nothing shows up. Thanks.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
I have now found out that it does not show up as an htc device. It shows up as an f drive and a g drive. I tried to copy the gapps to the g drive and it said I need to format the removable disk. I hope that this works.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Ah ok, you did a factory reset in bootloader at some point didn't you, that corrupts your sd card. You will need to format it like Windows instructed, format it to fat32 format and you'll be able to access it again. Unfortunately any data you had on it has been wiped now, I hope there wasn't anything too important on there.
Sent from my Evita
Thanks. I did reformat the SD card as windows asked. Then I copied both files onto my phones SD cars and followed the instructions again using twrp. It said that they were both installed successfully but theCyanogenMod home screen did not come up after completion. When I reformatted the SD card, I just let windows do. I did not set it to format to anything specific. I will try it again when I get home tomorrow from work,. Thanks again for your help.

If you're s-on you need to flash the boot.img from the ROM zip via fastboot after you've flashed the ROM and gapps.
Sent from my Evita
Thanks. I am s-on. I will look at it tomorrow and figure out how to do that.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Just extract the boot.img from the root of the ROM zip, put it in your fastboot folder on your pc, bit your phone into bootloader and connect it to your pc, wait for it to say fastboot usb on your phone display then give this command:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Now reboot your phone and it'll boot into the ROM.
Sent from my Evita
Hi Timmaaa. I am still having problems flashing the boot.img from cyanogenmod to my Evita. I put it I'm my fastboot folder and typed in the command as you have told me. I get this message pop up from fastboot.exe. ( this application has failed to start because AbdWinApi.Dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem). I just do not understand what I could be doing wrong. Is it possible I am not using the right folder? I started this a week ago but got the Norovirus from work and could not reply sooner. Thanks for any assistance you can give.

[Q] I think I broke my nexus 5. :(

Hey everyone,
I am new to the android phone arena and would appreciate some help.
I bought the nexus 5, rooted it and was attempting to flash CyanogenMod 11. I didnt realize I need a windows computer to do and was trying to do it through the phone itself. (i know, i know...terrible, like I said, I'm new)
The phone froze and will not even restore from a factory reset. It is like it is trying to reset from the CyanogenMod ROM (which wasnt installed properly in the first place). I have tried restoring from a backup, but none exists. I tried mounting a flash drive with the stock hammerhead ROM on it, but it will not mount. I am using ClockwordMod Recovery v6.0.4.4.
Can anyone help me?

Ok lets try decrypting this first.
It sounds like you got through the rooting process, and got yourself a custom recovery. Ok
You flashed CM11, but it started to boot loop on you.You tried to revert back to stock, but you failed to make a backup. Now you are stuck since you cant mount the phone as a disk from recovery and restore a working rom.
Is this what is going on?
If so, you still have hope. You can use adb from the boot loader and push the stock firmware back on.
Follow this thread and start over from the beginning.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2513701
Yes, Un-root, go back to stock and try this again. Next time, make a backup before Flashing like mad.

Ok so, i successfully installed the rom after wiping EVERYTHING . So now i turn it on and then it shows two messages: (error1) unfortunately, the procces com.google.process.gapps has stopped (error2) unfortunately, setup wizard has stopped.
there is no way to the home screen but i found a way to the settings. i can control all settings. how do i reinstall the old version backup.
also i do have a copy of it on my sd card
there is no lockscreen.
I hope i explained it right.
Also when i try to boot into recovery it boots into s/w upgrade
I think you may have used the wrong gapps package. I think to get into recovery you hold volume up and power, but I don't remember for sure and I don't have this phone anymore..
