who uses a screen protector and what is the best one?
Ive had this one on my phone since early December and no complaints or problems. Highly recommend it. http://cgi.ebay.com/3x-LCD-Screen-P...Accessories&hash=item27bcad8c90#ht_500wt_1139
I usually go to RadioShack. They have cut to fit ones, but don't use the "Wright Right" ones, as they suck, MAJORLY. They scratch way too easily, and have removable film on only one side. I prefer the kind that has removables on both sides. Basically, I peel off the back, then apply, and there is another film sheet on the top that I can keep on while I use a credit card to pour on the pressure to apply, then remove that upper layer film and have a pristine, beautifully applied screen protector. Oh yeah...
You don't really have to have one.. this screen is unscratchable. I never have used one and there is not a single mark. I personally like to take a pair of scissors to it as hard as I can to show off to friends. But do as you please. Lol

Unscratchable my a$$. I had to take my screen protector off for 3 days and it definitely got scratched.
If you keep it in a pocket, sand (quartz) can scratch it.
i had one for my moment and the problem i had with that was that when i would drag my fingers across the screen it would slide smoothly, it was jumpy that was a zagg screen protector just wondering if there was something better or if they are all created equally
I have an extremeguard.com shield on mine, not terribly happy with it, I've had zagg shields and bse shields and they where pretty similar. So I would probably recommend one of those over the extreme guard.

Www.bodyguardz.com....its worth it covers the screen and the black bezel around the screen

Zagg invisible shield. Hands down.
Its like $20 and if you get it at a mall kiosk they'll apply it for you. It also has an unlimited lifetime warranty. So if the protector gets scratched, if it peels up/comes off you can take it back and they will give you another protector and only charge couple dollars to apply the new one.
Can't beat it.

Has anyone had any experience with Ghost Armor shields on their phone?

I've heard reallook has fingerprint issues, but so does our stock screen so it wouldn't both me. I wanted something that almost matches the look and feel as if it weren't there. Still waiting on it, but I believe others will agree. +1 for RealLook
I have used Zagg shield, and Ghost Armor. I love the Ghost one because its way smoother than Zagg.

I just got a cheap $1 3 pack from amazon, I figured I could use them while I looked around for some better ones. Turned out they were better than I thought. I can't even tell I have a screen protector, and I have 2 spares although a lot of people said that they sucked because they would leave bubbles, but if you've ever applied screen protectors you know that the bubbles are human errors and not the products fault. And for the price why not try them out. But whatever you do DO NOT get that crap wright protect from sprint, those just suck. In case anyone was wondering yes they were cut out, even came with a little card and cloth.
I work in a sprint store, and I ended up ordering the $1.49 anti-glare protectors on ebay.
For one; they are way cheaper than even my employee discount on the Write Right brand 3 pack, and two; they cover the entire front bezel.
They are awesome, go on smooth, and I like that the matte finish makes it smoother to use the screen than the naked gorilla glass. (I'm not worried about scratches as much as the feel of using the screen - big reason I hate the Invisible Shield protectors.)
I still actually like the ones we sell in the store, and I've put on a lot of protectors for customers, and these almost always go on really well with no bubbles, and no need for a squeegee (meaning no need for the top plastic cover.) Some people really like the privacy anti-glare protector that comes in it, but not really a good idea if you want to use it for GPS (unless you have the phone pointed directly at you.)
The write right brand aren't a bad purchase, but to be honest, you could go with the ones in the link above, and get a better product for cheap from a great US seller.
zagg's are probably some of the worst and most overpriced screen protectors. try ghost armor
You can try stealth shieldz there nice cheaper then zagg. Tho zagg is on ebay right now 5 dollars a pop for the kit. also xtream guard is a sweet protector too. All those are worth checkin out.
Sometimes the cheap ass ones work pretty good.

Totally agree, wouldn't own another phone or ipod without the invisable shield.
Best buy has too for 20 but 8>00 to put on for you but they are quick at it and good, definetly worth the extra few dollars to lt them do it.
Hey guys just bought my Triumph and waiting for it to come in the mail. I was wondering what the best screen protector would be for this phone. I'm considering the Rocketfish at best buy so I think I'm set on the case. I remember my friend had an iphone protector and it was a glossy look and feel rather than they smooth one. I really liked the feel of that one because my fingers never stuck to the screen. Well all opinions would be great thanks guys.

With reading that discussion, do you think the full protection is good enough to replace a case for the phone or would you recommend the Zagg screen protector with the Rocketfish case?

Personally I hate cases.I have seen the full body ZAGG on one phone and that was like 2+ years ago on i believe a voyager... I didn't think it was bad and If I would get a "case" for my phone that's what I would get. My girlfriend has the MT and she got her case at bestbuy for like 15 or 20 bucks. It's not a bad little case and it doesn't bother me when I use her phone. She also had a ZAGG on it which is the only screen protector I've ever used. But I messed up putting it on her phone and she took it off and threw it away. The ZAGG was only like 12 or so from bestbuy.
Here is the case that I bought. I love it. The silicone keeps it from slide no matter where I seem to place it.
Silicone Case
and then I got this screen protector.
Skinomi
I have used the Skinomi skins on many different products and I love them. The whole self healing thing is pretty amazing and works great.
ZAGG is the way to go for sure. I've tried a lot of cheaper ones and all of them messed with how the display looked or felt while using the touch screen. It's worth the money.
You know that Triumph comes with built in screen protector, don't you? Mine does not show any signs of wear after more then a month of active use and little regard to how my phone is handled.
Just saying...

Thats exactly what I was going to ask. I read that someone removed that factory screen protector and put a new one on because the response was delayed with the factory one and a new one. Anyone else deal with this?
You could always get a Best Skins Ever. It's exactly the same material as the Zagg shields, and it's much cheaper. I've tried both, and they're both fantastic.

I removed the factory one and installed a Zagg. I like it.
Yeah I love the silicon case. Is there a privacy screen protector for the MT?
Sent from my Triumph using Tapatalk
I just started using this phone, with no additional screen protector since it comes with one over the gorilla glass.
If I do get one I would look into Skinomi. I use it for my gtablet and it works great, I have had it on since the beginning of the year and traveling around with no problems so far.
I personally use ArmorSuit, much better response than stock with the same material as Zagg at half the cost.
The best screen protector I've had is no screen protector.
I dropped my phone and scratched the factory second film. After that, I've been naked
Sent from my Triumph using XDA
My best screen protector has been (for me) the cheapest one! You can find them dirt cheap (a dollar or two) if you search around. But if you constantly drop your phone, I would get a higher-end one, like Zagg or something.
Just wondering if you use one or not on the GS3. My first GS3 didn't have one on it, and it magically gained 3 large scratches in the screen (always was left in a pocket alone, nothing else). I had one on my 2nd GS3, but I am now on my 3rd (2nd one had dead pixels) and wondering if I should just rough it out without one, or get one again.
Also if you got one, where from, and how do you like it?
Thanks
I got one from my bro so i dont know what brand it is. But i can tell you it came in a pack of like 3 and it sucks. Rainbow affect ruins the screens potential. Look like its kinda snowy and the feel isnt nice

After looking at this, I think I will buy some. Thanks for the recommendation!
Screen protectors are more trouble than their worth in almost all cases. If you manage to get it on without putting absolutely hideous bubbles on the screen, then you'll be left with something that just makes the screen "rainbowy" and terrible looking. Second skin doesn't do this but then it makes the screen rubbery and grippy feeling, not smooth like it should be. Protectors also seem to enhance fingerprints making them highly visible. Scratches? I wouldn't worry too much about that with gorilla glass 2 - http://youtu.be/wT8xI4PEU8c

I've used the SGP Ultra Nanos and don't like them. Within a month quite a lot had peeled away from the phone. I think this is going to be an issue with all thin film protectors that the industry seems to prefer with this model (slightly curved display surface).
I purchased an XGear Spectre and really like it. It's a tempered glass surface. Very easy to mount and hasn't peeled or scratched despite subjecting it to the same rigors as my previous SGP Ultra Nano. Nor do I expect it to peel in the future because it's pretty think (0.4 mm) and rigid. Apparently it's think enough that it doesn't fit all cases (I don't use a case). The field of view is essentially unaffected and the glass has excellent optics. At $35 with shipping, it's definitely more of than investment than thin film protectors, but I consider it a good value given the advantages.
I got the ones from samsung at the verizion store when i got my phone (the first day they had them or second)
The dude put on the first one for me and still looks great barley tell its there and its custom fit to phone
Price tag is 14 bucks but he gave it to me and it did go on very nicely no bubbles or discoloring
I don't use one, I'm just careful not to put anything in the same pocket that could scratch it
Same I use the one from the Verizon store 12 bucks, it didn't effect the viewing, it's a dry install and almost no bubbles when done, and you get 3.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
I put on 20 of the verizon ones everyday. Done correctly there are no bubbles, no lint and hold up well. Seeing all the hideous home jobs applications, the glossy texture of zags and the anti glare versions I can see why they get a bad rap.
I wouldn't go without one.

yeah, i've got a plain clear verizon one on mine.....actually it was the Cellet Screen Guard..just took it from my store. i put a million on a day, too, so i'm really good at it. i never ever get bubbles or dust. just gotta know how to do it!
also, you guys getting the grainy and rainbow effects, it's because you're using anti-glare protectors. they suck. the clear ones are better.

I've never used it before, but I've heard good things, which is making me consider buying a full body protector. My question is this: who's used one, who's going to be getting one, or if you're opposed to the thought of it, what would you recommend?

Don't you guys like XtremeGuard? Which one would you recommend, XtremeGuard or BSE or Skinomi?
I recommend Armorsuit or XOskins. Armorsuit is available on Amazon and XOskin here. XOskin original price is more expensive but they are good but use 55% off coupon code cybermondayftw on XOskin when you checkout and today is last day for the coupon code. Hope that helps. I have heard people complaining that other screen protectors was missing the cutout for the proximity sensor but XOskin has the cutout so I ordered XOskin. I don't know if Armorsuit has the proximity sensor cutout or not but I know their quality is good because I have used them before too. Hope that helps.
I guess I'll be the odd man out and say I'm really impressed with ghost armor. I used it on my gs2 and my gnex and plan to get it for my n4 also.

I feel the same. Ghost armor feels just like glass and I've never had anything close to the orange peel feel on my nexus one/S/Gnex. I just received my shipment from ghost armor for my nexus 4 and can confirm that the glass feel applies to this phone as well. Going to get it installed at the mall kiosk because I'm so bad at it. I can report back if anyone is interested

Defeats the purpose a bit, I know but it's got the TPU case on it and the edges (volume and power button side) cannot be felt, nor is the screen protector affected by the case (unlike my GNex - the POP! case is really tight)

--wrong thread---
I can vouch for the quality of Ghost Armor. Used these screen protectors for all of my devices. It adds good protection and just the right amount of "resistance" to touch, all while maintaining excellent clarity considering the durability of the material. Good scratch protection and self-heals most of your typical little scratches. I currently have one on my N4, and I am not disappointed at all. The guys and gals at the booth do an outstanding job applying it, and you have a lifetime warranty on it. Can't beat that.
I can also vouch for the quality of ghost armor as well. The camera and proximity sensors are perfectly cut out, and it feels just like glass. It has a wonderful texture and clarity unlike any other screen shield I have used before. I have a tight case on and it doesn't peel at all. Their warranty system is excellent as well, a free replacement if your current one peels/dents (I have yet to experience this). If you do go for the replacement, you may want to bring in your old screen protector if you peeled it off, as the mall stand near me requires that you bring it in order to receive a replacement.
One thing I dislike is that it doesn't cover the curved edges on the right and left sides. I hope they will fix this in an updated version of the skin, but otherwise, to me it is the perfect screen protector.
I also recommend these guys. Outstanding product with a lifetime warranty. I had the screen protector put on my Nexus 7 about a month ago and I am just as happy with it as from day one. Since then I've had my wife take her iPad Mini in for a screen protector as well. Certainly worth the money spent, although I can't vouch for the skins.
I'm sorry if there's already a thread. I'm really looking for one that has good quality and good feel to it.

Depends what you like in a screen protector. It seems to me that there are 3 main types of screen protector: matte/anti-glare (smooth to the touch, less smudhes/finger prints) , clear/hard (ment to feel the closest to the original screen), and rubbery (usually wet application, sometimes has an "orange peel" effect). I personally prefer the rubbery texture under my fingers, and I always use Xtreme Guard. Theyre wet application, provide great protection and are far less expensive than Zagg (2 dollars on amazon vs 20 dollars). As far as dry application clear ones I actually really like the ones that come with Otter Box cases. And as far as anti glare I would definitely go with Spigen. Hope that helps

Installed one of these on my dad's Galaxy Note 2 and was incredibly impressed with the amount of shatter protection this provides to your screen. It was very easy to apply, and is actually glass. Watch some of the videos available on the site. Only available for a very finite list of devices (S4 included), I ordered one last week on back order and am expecting it to arrive on Friday.
