3DMark for Android - Xperia Play Themes and Apps

I was reading Anandtech and they had a performance preview of the new 3DMark app for Android.
I haven't tried running it on my Xplay, I was wondering if any of you had tried running it yet.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2

Yeah. It says the xperia play isn't compatible. If I tried I could get the apk. But I'm at work right now.

It's recommend 1GB ram. It's stuck on loading screen - don't even start. Trash in my opinion.

App Optimization

Do you guys feel like on almost every app this phone responds a bit late compared to other phones. Its almost like no app is optimized for this processor. For example youtube, other phones respond right as you touch the screen. This phone takes a little more time.

Aren't there THD Games optimized for the Tegra 2? Only game which doesn't run well for me is Fruit Ninja... Everything else (Apps/Games) run perfectly fine.

(Q) GTA3 working on Charge

Anyone have GTA3 from market working on their charge?
Mine downloaded fine but then just sits at a black screen the goes back to launcher after about 5 seconds.
I'm running infinity 1204

Sorry to say, but our Samsung Charges don't have the nVidia Tegra 2 that GTA3 for Android was built around... You're SOL man. Might still be able to refund your purchase and get yourself a PSP. All jokes aside though I did the same thing and looked it up after. Only phones with the chipset Tegra 2 can operate GTA3.
Have you tried using Chainfire 3D?
Sent from my SCH-I510 using xda premium
Tried with Chainfire, no luck. Chainfire emulates Tegra's decoding and processing, but can't emulate its hardware, IIRC, so some games (Riptide GP) work perfectly, some games (Galaxy on Fire 2) are glitchy as hell but playable, and some (well, this) just don't work at all.
There's some people without tegras workings. Just depends I guess.

There may be hope. I was poking around in the Galaxy Tab forums (I have one, plus it has the same CPU and GPU). lo and behold, I found the same thread there. One person said this:

Might be good news:
I found out through LogCat that the problem might lie within the PowerVR SGX540. Which is in fact the same GPU as the Galaxy Nexus, in which Rockstar states will fix soon. So yeah, it should work, just wait a bit for an update.

Still not working for me after the update
It worked for me after the update, however, the game lagged pretty bad and eventually froze. It didn't FC, it eventually came back but it wasn't playable. I haven't tried it again since.
So after uninstalling GTA3, I am not unable to re-install it. The Market claims my device in not compatible with it. How did I download it before then??? Any ideas here?

GTA Vice City

Hey guys,
Whenever I go to this in the play store it wont let me install and I get the following message:
"You're Device isn't compatible with this version."
Anyone managed to install vice city on their tablet?
Works on mine running stock.
Hmmmm really? Which firmware are you currently running?
Latest stock for the 16gb wifi. If you can't see it restore it from a titanium backup from another device.
hmmm managed to get it installed but a bit disappointed with the performance, maxxed out its very low fps. Same for everyone else?

Where are you talking about selecting which version of the XTZ you have?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using XDA Premium HD app
I have the SGP321 running CM10.2. VC runs awful, extremely low fps, diashow. I think the GPU runs at a low frequency, becuase in asphalt 7 the tablet uses approx 1.5 times as many power as displayed in cooltools. Has anybody a fix for that? Or how can I manually set the GPU frequency?
I contacted Rockstar about this game asking for them to add the device to the compatibility, after providing them with the device info they said they would be investigating, that was on the 11 August though.
I have ended up obtaining the game using other methods (silly having to since I paid for it) and it does play perfect on max settings on my tablet.

Infuse 4g gaming in 2013 :d

Who doesn't like playing games on their device every now and then?
Yesterday I downloaded Gameloft's Latest Asphalt (Asphalt 8: Airborne) :highfive:
Its a great game I'll admit but I hated the lil lag it has from time to time. I would like this thread to be all about the little tweaks that you know that give your Galaxy S Infuse the extra BOOST also, add the current ROM you're on. As for me I'm on the latest CM10.2 you can find HERE

Been testing a few Games on my phone since yesterday.
Asphalt 8: Was lagging on the London and Tokyo course. I Froze unused apps and it ran like a charm, small lags on those courses, other courses run perfectly.
AVP Evolution: Runs perfectly with highest quality graphic setting.
Blood And Glory: Runs Perfectly... Enough said.
Conduit HD: Runs at great fps, no lag but sometimes enemy body parts appear transparent.
Death Dome: Lags alot in the game menu, actual gameplay is very great with no lag.
EPOCH: Short test but runs perfectly.
RavenSword: Runs great with minimal lag every now and then, 100% playable
Skiing Fred: Usually lags but after i froze some apps it runs smoothly (zero lag) with highest graphic quality.
FIFA 2014: Runs perfectly smooth, no lag!
My Thoughts: I think the major downfall of the infuse is the low ram (500MB) freezing some apps that would usually be running in the background gives the phone a real boost.
MY APPS AND SETTINGS
App Quarantine: uses this batch freezes apps it with a easy to use interface and it has a free version (which i use)
Phone Performance Menu:
Processor
Cpu minimum freq: 400mhz
Cpu maximum freq: 1600mhz
Governor: INTERACTIVE (haven't tried the others)
I/O Scheduler: BFQ(haven't tried the others)
Memory Management
Allow purging of assets: checked
Kernel samepage merging: checked
I've heard people giving seeder good reviews, you can add that to your apps, haven't tried it on the infuse yet tho.

Hey guys! I'm new to the infuse4g section of the forums since i just got by infuse 3 days ago, rooted it asap, and now running Beanstalk ROM. I was quite a gamer on my old phone Motorola Atrix4g (wildblood, Aralon sword and shadow, gta vc, nfs ms, etc) but when i switched to infuse, the performance and battery were significantly noticeable. I got Ravenswood Shadowlands earlier and it crashed within a minute of playing. Trust me it's a great game. Now to get to the point, i figured it's due to the RAM that the game crashes. Found a solution too. RAM Expander pro app which converts and uses empty part of your SD as RAM. You can set the value you want it to use. And since i've just barely used 5Gbs of my SD memory, i have 10Gb free. I let the app convert or SWAP 1500Mb (perhaps a lil much) and the game was running as smooth as Elvis Presley's hair. Lol. So for all you gamers out there who are are as crazy gamers on android as you are on xbox or pc, i recommend game cih, game killer, gameguardian for hax, and most importantly RAM Expander to play your games without lag or crashes.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do SWAP with an EXTERNAL storage. The RAM Expander app has been criticized for ruining the INTERNAL memory. It's best and safest to use an external memory for it is easier to replace incase of corruption.

Swapping ram on external is too slow, except you're using sdcard class 10. Lower than that class? Sorry, not enough for extreme gaming. Swap ram on external will give bad impact to your sdcard. Using your internal is more fast and safely. Its not my opinion, it is fact. For other trick, you can use your /data /cache and /system for swap ram. That's method doesn't give any disadvantage. Searching about "Turbo Boost" on xda, developed by harbir.
Dont use ram expander for swapping. It may would brick your phone. Many of user that bricked their phone with ram expander. Just info.

Is my Nexus 5 a defect? Slow CPU performance.

Hello everyone,
I have taken many benchmark tests and all of them fell short of a Galaxy S4 and even some other Nexus 5s. Here are screenies:

The first Nexus 5 I had I noticed this! Antutu would show it on comparable performance with the HTC One X! I swapped phones unfortunatly but I have another Nexus now. Haven't run any benchmarks but Minion Run runs like crap
Benchmark apps run horribly on this phone. It throttles way too soon. That said, benchmark apps are useless. Nearly all major brands are known to "cheat" on them by temporarily boosting performance above what you would normally get during use. Especially Samsung.
like what was said above, dont trust benchmarking apps. They are pointless. Download cpu spy and better battery stats and see what running when at what cpu speed. as long as your hitting top cpu clock at some point (like when playing a game), the hardware is more then likely fine and probably just needs some kernel tuning to get it to your liking
That said, there are people who get amazing results... One last thing to note, Franco kernel hates my phone. I get random reboots at normal clock speed 2.3ghz. Or is it my phone...?

It depends how many apps are in teh back ground, the phones temp, and all kinds of stuff. I have gotten as low as 17k and as high as 29k.
Also - I don't think the majority of benchmark apps have been optimized for 4.4 yet.
