Good evening everyone. I am the owner of an Sony Erricson Xperia Mini and as expected i have some flashing problems....
I managed succesfully to unlock the bootloader using android-sdk and install ClockMod without any problem.
I am able also to install with success CM mod v9 and everything works fine but when i try to install this rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173080
it installs without any error but on reboot i remain with a black sceen with green back light...
Same goes with every other MIUI rom for Xperia Mini.
Any help appreciated.
EDIT:
After 3 hour research and some help from the IRC the solution was just to flash a custom kernel from the list that was on the post.
Now Everything runs funtastic!

hi bit stuck here iv got a xperia ray unlocked bootloader cmw and 4.0.2.a.0.62XYH-MOD-Last custom rom kernel 2.6.32.9-v3 iv been trying to get honeycomb blue circle battery with no luck iv got some zip files but when i try and apply them my status bar dissapears any suggestions would be extremely helpful
Is that the icon with the thin blue circle and the number in the middle?
I am unfamiliar with your rom and kernal but I know a similar battery display is available included in other roms like CM9 and such.
Others have had the issue of a vanishing statusbar depending on the CPU governor they are using? Try changing the governor to ONDEMAND or INTERACTIVE if you have the option.
Good luck
Xperia ray bootloop
first off, i'm a noob.
I rooted my xperia ray (ST18i) yesterday and also installed ClockWorkMod 5+ on my phone, as well as ROM manager
I tried installing ROMs and bootanimations; i always got status 7 error, but that's another story
anyway, i tried installing CM10 on my xperia phone
again i got the "asset failed: status 7" error thing
I backed up and tried to reboot but now i'm stuck in a bootloop and i'm even unable to access CWM :crying:
anyone help please?
Thanks in advance

Ideally you should have created a separate thread for your query since it does not relate specifically to the topic on this one However,
I have found that the best way with these things is to keep it simple. There are two ways to flash a kernal to your phone depending also on the type of file it is.
For CM roms and kernals you can either follow the instructions provided on the CM website using the CMD window (if you use windows OS) or using flashtool v0.9.10.
Flashtool is much easier since all you do is install it, then install the drivers for your phone that come bundled with the software. After that connect the phone in fastboot mode (Hold the volume up button while connecting the USB cable) and then open the fastboot toolbox. You can flash the boot.img file that comes with all CM roms that way and then reboot the phone.
***Before flashing your phone you must ensure that you had "Developer Options" enabled with "USB Debugging". This allows for Flashtool and other methods to access and flash the phone with no problems***
CM10 boot.img contains CWM boootloader and to enter recovery you toggle the volume buttons while the phone starts up. The LED will change colour and CWM Recovery will show up.
Most if not all this information is available under the Ray development section of the forums here:

Good luck

Did you try to follow the installation instructions carefully? and did you make a nandroid backup before you flash the rom so whenever you experience that kind of problem you can restore what you've been backup.
Hi! My name is Petar and i new here at xda-developers. First of all I am not a developer and I do not have knowledge as much as you guys. I am here to ask for help. I have very very very BIG problem with my phone. It is Sony Xperia Miro. The phone is not expensive, but it is very very important to me. The phone was working perfectly untill i flashed cyanogen mod 10 JB mesina (i found mesina is the name for xperia miro). I know that Miro doesnt support JB officialy, but i found a video on You-Tube about un-official JB on Xperia Miro. Here is what i did:
-Rooted and unlocked bootloader using UnLock Root program (I verified the root with RootChecker app).
-Installed Clockwork mode.
-made a backup (nandroid).
-delete and wipe all data with clockwork.
-flash new rom ( Cyanogen mod 10 JB Mesina).
-after flashing completed 100%, the phone turned off ( the phone was fully 100% charged before doing all this).
-I tried to turn on the phone but i only get a single vibration (No led, No screen working, No sound).
-I tried to connect the phone to PC and restore original ICS using Sony PC Companion, but my PC doesnt detect my phone because unlocked bootloader.
-So i put the phone on charge for 6 days.
-Yesterday i took the phone off the charge and pushed it on. The phone didnt turn on, but i didnt even get a vibration only now i get is blinking RED LIGHT at top of the phone.
-I contacted you !
I read thousands of posts here on xda and everywhere on Google about fixing this. But I only found tutorials and fixes for other Xperias ( Z, S, J etc.), but not for my cheap miro ... Please guys i need to fix my phone really soon, please in name of the LORD , help me.. Thank you ):
you downloaded mesona cm10 zip file right? there is one boot.img file inside it, try to flash it first(using flashtool..search how to)
put cm10 for mesona on your sd card and after flashing boot.img go to recovery and flash the rom.
in case your pc does not detect your phone you should try on some other pc.
red led means your phone is not dead yet.
please step by step

Thanks for the reply man..but please explain to me step by step how to do all that...
The Simplest way is to download Flashtool and Flash the stock firmware you can find in the General Section here on the Threads, after that see the magic,
If it works hit thanks bro !
Dear friends hope you all are good. But sure I am not .
2/3 days back, I update my Xperia Ion LT28h from ICS to JB 4.2.1. After that, I tried to Root my device and able to did Root successfully. I have installed custom recovery "CWM6_Ganesh_Jb_Xperia ION_v1" and install custom ROM "Nature Xperia Advance V3.2 International Edition" after flashed ROM ( I am not so sure its successful or not, there was no error). anyways, after done this i go back to recovery mode > Advance > then wipe all data (I think I did this f***ing mistake)
Then tried to restart the phone, but it’s gone. After appear “Sony” logo phone automatically restart the on again and again Restart. After did this 4/5 time everything black only Red LED continue flashing.
I have tried to boot from Flashtool and Sony Update Service but unable to connect on Flashmode.
Guys is there any way to fix it, Please help me out,
So guys,
After some ports, my XC2304 isn't able to run on flashmode to re-install firmware. Some days ago I create an ftf file for it be flashed by Perfect Flash, the results was sucessfully. Perharps, today I was porting a Z1 rom based on our last update .13. After install the rom by CMW the phone doesn't boot for anyway.
I tryed to reset by back button, no response;
I tryed to remove battery and no response;
I've tryed to boot into flash mode by pressing volume - but only stills on a red led.
I follow some tutorials but no one worked for me, the main problem is "device not recognized" by windows.
Can't connect on Perfect Flash\Sony Update service cause the flash mode doesn't appears.
Well, I was very excited to porting my new rom based on 4.3 AOSP, was some little bugs that I as just solving, but now I'm not able to continue my ports
If someone had the SAME problem and solved it, I'll be glad if you help me!
Best Regards.

I did the same thing like you and had same issue.
Unfortunately, we cant use Flashtool/ SUS/ Perfect Flash to unbrick because there have no driver for our xc.
So, I sent back to SONY yesterday.
Fix your problem using this way

I had the same problem some time ago but that can be fixed using
" Sony Update Services "....
For all step wise guide read my post and if you find it usefull... click that thanks please...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sony-xperia-c/general/how-to-install-restore-stock-android-t2832005
Do this before the above link :
remove your back panel and then put your Xperia C for charging and then hit the small reset button near Sim card slot using a pen or a refill; then wait for 5 resonds and stop charging... by this you will be able to switch off your Xperia C and then you can use the link provided above to for your problem

this method doesnt work when you flash a rom for a different device like i did i already order a new motherboard for my xc. this only will solve it...changing motherboard.
And by the way if Red Light is shown then it is Soft Brick and you can very easily repair it. If that light is also not there then you can say that it is a hard brick.
