[Q] HTC One SV SIMLOCK status - HTC One SV

Hi guys,
My dad just bought a HTC One SV phone from Vodafone Spain and he's planning to go back home with it, but he's (me as well) uncertain whether the phone is sim locked or not.
Is there any code that will say whether the phone is locked or not? For instance, I have Sony Xperia S and when I dial *#*#7378423#*#* and it tells me if the phone's locked.
Is there something similar for HTC? Putting a different SIM card in the phone is out of the question. I'm just interested in the code that might give him the information.
Thank you in advance!

Hi.
Since the SV can now be S-OFF, I guess it could be done... Maybe have a look at the One S forums to find a similar method. It worked the same way for all the "One something" phones to change the CID, for example.

[Q] My sensation wont recognize a specific simcard

First off, thank you for making a brilliant forum! Now that I dont get any further by searching for information I need som help from you guys.
Thing is: I have two sensations. Both are s-off, rooted, superCID and have the latest coindroid installed. Both are originally tmobile phones which were bought unlocked some while ago. They have both been used successfully in europe until now that im in the US.
For various reasons i have three simcards for these phones. And in one of them t-mobile doesnt seem to work at all. Neither before software modifications or after. The other phone with similar mods have no problems.
The other simcards are a norwegian one and another pay-as-you-go simcard which has been used since t-mobile doesnt work.
Since both phones are rooted and s-off I guess there is a setting somewhere. Where is this particular setting? Anybody that could come a newbie to the rescue?
Thanks!
no setting if phone dont ask for a unlock code or has been unlocked i am going to say bad/banned imi number call t-Mobile and ask them if your phone is black listed
The phone is blocked by tmobile it appears. Bought it off amazon nine months ago. The phone was sold as new and "unlocked" back then and w/o warranty, but not as stolen phone. Im angry right now.
Neither Tmobile or HTC are very helpful on the phone. Costumer service at Tmobile keeps failing to put me over to anyone who can help.
Any tips on how to proceed further? Showing up at one of their shops and stay there until someone is able to help?
Since the phone is without warranty its very tempting to do illegal stuff to it right now.

HTC Sensation xe SIM network unlock PIN does't working after my phone was repaired.

Hi all,
well, I bought htc sensation xe beats audio on t-mobile(UK), I purchased unlocking code, after I entered it phone worked on vodafone perfect. Few weeks ago, my phone stopped working. As I had warranty to the phone, I contacted HTC, and sent phone for repair. They repaired my phone, but when I trying to use my vodafone sim card, phone asking for network unlocking code. It looked to me ,that my phone again become locked to t-mobile, so I purchased another unlocking code(which is the same as i entered it months ago) and when I entering "it" it says incorrect password.
Without SIM, phone working fine. Can you please explain to me what should I do?
Thank you!

Thanks guys. I found problem myself. HTC repair centre changed my phone IMEI number, and I wasn't told, so that's why unlock code didn't worked. I checked IMEI on my phone by pressing *#06# and find out different IMEI number, got new code and it worked.

[Q] SIM Unlock HTC Desire S

Hi, so I bought an HTC Desire S and it's locked to Orange UK. I S-OFFed and tried sieempi's method but it's still network locked. Is there any generator or tweak like the HTC Desire/Sensation to get the code? It's urgent as this is my new personal smartphone.
Thanks in advance

Urgent? No it's not. On Christmas day nothing is really urgent.
You can either ask your current network provider for the unlock code (may have to pay them) or get hold of an XTC-Clip (Buy, rent, shop ...) and definitely have to pay.
There is no software method for network unlock on the Desire S.
There's a xtc-clip page on xda with members that have access to them
This Christmas I've decided to put a mistletoe in my back pocket....so all the people I dont like can kiss my ass.

But there must be a unlock code somewhere in those mmcblk blocks, like on the One S, Desire (bravo) and the Sensation, why wouldn't there by any on the Desire S? HTC must have hidden it somewhere... Any guess?
Here's a guess: this phone is out for almost a couple of years now, and if the way to unlock it was so simple that a noob could guess it - I guess it would have been unlockable by now.
You can, of course, read and learn how SIM unlock is done on the other "sister" phones (G2/DZ/DHD/MT4G), and what's preventing DS from having the same treatment, and what's needed to make it work. But something tells me that you won't do that.

Travelling To Singapore-Can I Get JB On ATT One -X?

The title sums it up. I'm fortunately headed to Singapore and since the JB update seems to be available there - it begs the question; is it possible to get the update while there - on my non-rooted/locked AT&T HTC One-X? Possibly over wifi with the sim card removed?
TIA,
Mark
No no no
The device updates arent dependant on your physical location.
They are sent out to specific devices with that carriers/locations CID
So since you have an att phone with an att CID you won't get the update

Chill,
I was afraid that was likely the case, but I appreciate the quick response. I guess I'll have to find something else to do over New Years in Singapore
You would need to change your CID, carrier unlock, and put in a sim card for the local carrier over there. And even then I'm not sure it would work.

[Q] Help with new htc one sv

Hi
I finally made the switch from Iphone to android by buying a HTC one SV from amazon. It was mentioned that the phone was sim free and unlocked, however it was locked to t-mobile. I got the 8 digit unlock code which worked all right, but still i get no signal on the phone despite putting a sim card. I opened up the bootloader which says its still locked. What can i do? Can any of the high street shops fix this or do i give this phone back? Help please?

Hi, this forum is for the One S. The One S and SV are different, however I may be able to help.
First of all, the ***LOCKED*** warning in the bootloader does not show the SIM lock state, but instead shows the state of the bootloader. If you unlock the bootloader it will display ***UNLOCKED*** but is seperate from unlocking the SIM lock on the phone. It is unlikely to help if you unlock the bootloader.
This seems like an issue with Amazon, I would take it back. The phone should have been unlocked but it wasn't.
