do you wipe data before flash the stock 4.0.4???
If not, flash the CWM recovery and wipe data and flash again the stock firmware.

I've always had more luck with Heimdall then Odin. Try putting your phone into download mode then using the UCLB3 one-click from this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1629079
After that, boot CWM and load the stock kernel.
That should get you the best Close-To-Stock experience. I ran it for a while before recently switching to CM10.

Why did u install cwm in the first place? To install CM10? If so, just flash CM10 anf see what happens.
If not successful, then flash the official firmware downloaded from sammobile.com using Odin and root and install cwm again following the procedures explained in the development section.

What is the exact model name of your galaxy tab? There are a few variants of p6200.
I didnt use any pit file when I upgraded my tab from honeycomb to ics and had no issue at all.
Or, try to use firmware emergency recovery tool via Kies. Check out this link from page 7: http://www.sammobile.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/KIES-FAQ-update-your-phone.pdf

I m Happy now
Thank you sir. My tab is back to life. I read about an emmc bricking. According to that some part of my internal memory in corrupted. So I had to re partition my internal memory. So, I used a custom PIT file. Now all is well.

Im not really an expert but i'll try..
Can you enter odin mode? If yes, then you can flash your stock HC rom.. but guessing from your problem.. do you know how to use odin? If dont, try to do some research.. so heres my tip..
1. Find your stock HC firmware at www.samfirmware.com
2. Flash the firmware via odin..
3. (From experience) it will boot loop in the samsung animation
4. Dont worry.. enter recovery and do both wipes
5. Your boot will now proceed..
BEFORE I FORGET.. WIPING IS SAFE ON STOCK HC ROM.. DO NOT WIPE FROM STOCK ICS ROM.. I REPEAT DO NOT WIPE FROM STOCK ICS ROM

[Q] after update to JB, not able to downgrade

Since upgrading to JB 4.1.2, I am not able to downgrade to ICS. After the flashing ICS via odin or for that matter mobile odin, is complete, it goes into a boot loop. Only way way out was again flash Jelly bean, it worked. Is there any firmware with full components like pda separate file, CSC separate file and phone separate file? I have heard that we need to flash these separate files via odin to downgrade. can anybody give a download link for the same?
Do you have a CWM back-up from a previous ROM?

you must go to stock ricovery ( with power + volum up ) and then wipe data
( your data are remove ( factory riset )
sorry for my bad ENGLISH
But I have heard that if one wipes factory reset through stock recovery, I am afraid one is liable to get bricked devices.

I would research the factory reset option. It shouldn't brick your device.

Just to make it clear.. wiping from stock is Safe IF you are in HC or JB ( someone said its safe ) but a big NO in ICS because it causes the tab to be bricked.. wiping from CWM on all roms is SAFE.. pls.. get your facts right..

If you want to downgrade from official JB to official ICS, you have to have .pit file
You can search pit file for P6200 in XDA and using odin to flash official ICS with option re-partition checked
First time, when my friend downgrade without .pit file, tab got stuck at SS logo even wipe everything fully. With .pit file, it succeeded

Is it necessary to have three different files ie pda, phone and csc when using pit file eith repartition checked?

No, just ICS Stock Rom with .pit file
P6200 pit file in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667886) works fine
You can downgrade to HC, do wipes and flash ICS.
i usually do encounter this on my 7.7 when i flash hc from ics...what i did was wipe the device using cwm after flashing the older firmware to fix the bootloop...
my friend have tab 7 plus and i'm planning to flash jb on it...is the stock JB recovery free from the brickbug?

Did you check option re-partition in Odin?
By the way, stuck at SS logo is quite often happened if you did not wipe. You should try to perform full wipe.
There is an issue related to wipe using ICS stock recovery, you should use Odin to flash CWM recovery (without .pit file) and use CWM recovery to wipe.

when you are stuck in bootloop flash cwm recovery and do a full wipe..that will fix it...avoid full reset using stock recovery to prevent brickbug

When u flash HC.. it will always boot loop.. to fix the boot loop problem.. enter recovery power button + volume up.. the wipe cache and wipe partition.. then the boot loop will be fixed.. then upgrade to ICS or JB whatever you want.. by the way.. dont EVER wipe from a ICS stock recovery.. cause this will brick ur tab.. please remember that.. if u want to wipe from a ICS rom.. install CWM then wipe in the CWM recovery.. Yes, I would like to know also! I am trying the opposite and trying to upgrade my US version of 4.0.4 to the UK version 4.1.2 which is suppose to work, but I can't seem to get my USB to be recognized when I am in the Download mode - Funny thing, the USB is recognized when directly connecting to my computer (ie MTP) and via Kies, but not in the DL mode or Odin.
But if 4.0.4 is more trouble free than 4.1.2, maybe my problem is a good thing?
Edit: Figured it out - I was in Recovery mode instead of Download mode - oh well, 4.1.2 is a little nicer, with a few more features, not notably faster that I can tell as of yet, but I need to play with it, since all I have done so far is to go through it and make sure things work.
I was hoping for multi-window support and better wifi connectivity, but no joy - maybe better wifi after a few more days?.
Does anyone know if 4.1.2 will allow the tab to support 64gb card? I thought that was one area where 4.1.2 had over 4.0.4
