First of all,i am really happy to announce (for those who came across with my desperate threads trying to solve my battery drain over 3G network issue) that flashing XXJPU Rom + Removing the partitions (swap + external extra storage) of my SD Card solved my problem. Battery is not draining anymore, and everything is working just fine with the stock rom.
The question is : Can i partition my SD Card again (to add internal storage, since i´ve came across the damn "Internal Storage is Nearly Full" message) ?
If yes, will i have to reflash the rom or , do anything else then just creating the partition using the Minitool software ?
Thanks in advance, and thanks again for those who tried to help me !
No need to make a new partition, extend the current one by minitool/gparted
I have o only one big partition used to store normal content. I need to make a new one to use as a extra internal storage space.. So i do need to partition it, all i need to know is if it will work and if i will have to do something else after partitioning it

If you create a partition on your SD Card as EXT2 ( i guess its EXT2 ) ,your OS will use it as internal storage.
Doing this, will solve the low internal storage issue.
I Just dont know if it works on stock roms,it does work on Kyrillos, inDroid, Sumee etc.
@OP i though u already had one partition when you said partition again
if your sd is as it is(just one partition)
then do this
flash g3mod
reboot into recovery
and partition
its the fastest way to get a partitio
then you can use an app2sd/data2sd script (system/etc/init.d)
Or if you have a card reader
use minitool/gparted to partition
shrink the existing one and make a new partiton(ext4)
and yea backup ur data, just in case!

Thanks for the reply : )
I will use minitool since i know how to use it.
After creating a EXT4 Partition, what will i need to actually tell my OS to use it as internal storage ?
Will i need to reflash rom ? Run any script (like Data2SD) ?
Also, is the Kernel or the Rom that actually recognizes the partitions and use them ?
EDIT : Hey @cdesai i just partitioned my SD using minitool creating a EXT2 Partition for internal storage upgrade.
Following again,this tutorial here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=SD_card_partitioning
Titaniun backup is not recognizing the extra space, what do i have to do now ?

Hmm.
ext4 would be a bit better but ext2 is also ok
now keep an a2sd script in /system/etc/init.d
there is a thread in dev section by kyrillos with the script and instructions, use it
or flash a custom rom which already has it
and yes you need a kernel with init.d support, but every custom kernel has that feature(cf-root,fugumod,g3mod,simplicity,etc.)

use a custom room like indroid, kyrillos etc & enjoy after partition, set the restore location as "internal" in the titanium setting before restoring apps

I used CF-Root to root my Galaxy SL i9003(2.3.5) and after that I installed OCLF. I installed the files which said fix the lag and after I saw no change in my phone I clicked the option to remove those files.
After that I used CF-Root Tweak Manager v1.20 and selected all the options (i.e. RAM: Min-Free, SD: Speed Tweak, I\O: Scheduler, Kernel Scheduler, EXT4 Speed, VM: Swappiness..., Ram Script, Auto ZipAlign) and the I selected the option of Applying Changes which Re-Booted my phone.
Since that Reboot I am facing the following problems:
1) Notification bar not showing anywhere.
2) Internal as well as External SD Cards are not getting recognized.
3) Cannot see incoming calls sometimes.
I dont know what caused the problem, OCLF or Tweak Manager. When I go to Settings->SD Card and Phone Storage, it says UNAVAILABLE for both iternal and Ext Memory Cards.
I have tried Factory Reset through CWM Recovery and through the phone as well but it did not help.
Flash an official ROM twice using ODIN... simple.
Wich is that OCLF that you used? Where is it posted? I guess it is not working fine with the i9003
thanks...Ill try that out and get back to you..

Partition ur sd card thru cwm then use kmapp to acrivate swap
EDIT: Partitioning ur sd card will wipe your data btw. Also swap doesnt work for everyone. So i suggest you dont use it
Sent from my i9003 powered by Poseidon's Rom + UC kernel
Swap uses it then only if free RAM is not already. 256mb ram runs out easily, but my kmapp say (when i click the swap):"Sorry, an error has occurred while executing tmerminal commands. The application cannot go on. This can be a bug or you have a big problem in your ROM. Application will now close." But i partition and other (256 swap).
I m using zedomax's app2sd script for my note 10.1 to swap my storage with a 64gb sdcard. a bug that i find that everytime i reboot my device , my gallery have to rescan and regenerate thumbnail .. this is annoying as i have at least 12 albums in my note2 and each album has more than 50 photos
i have tried to revert back, but i found that my internal storage is not writable anymore.. anytime i capture a screenshot it cannot be saved . after some reading, i found that this is a bug of the script. tried factory reset, clear everything but still no luck
i m just wondering if there are kernel that make our note 10.1 swap storage automatically from boot? (script runs after boot, that's why my gallery will re-cache everytime)
we have something similar in note 2.. like the perseus kernel
sorry for my terrible english
Hi,
I have a question about the app2sd script from kyrillos13.
I have a class 10 16 gb sd card and made a 4gb ext4 partition.
I used app2sd v3 but when the phone boots, the boot sound always plays, even when I put the phone on silent or vibrate. Is there a way to fix this, without deleting/disabling the boot sound completely? I already tried factory reset twice, repartition sd, reflash rom and install app2sd again. Nothing worked.
I'm using stock JPU. I like to use stock and add tweaks and such myself
Should I use an alternative like link2sd or hybrid data2sd?
Will link2sd allow me to install as many apps as app2sd v3 and will the performance be the same?
And what about hybrid data2sd?
You can rename to disable it. I think it might work
yes, but I'd like not having to change around the file, and want it to work like expected. Possible?
Also I tried using HD2SD and moved data log app and dalvik, but I noticed there was some lag when pressing the menu button in the touchwiz launcher. Any way to fix it?
