I used CF-Root to root my Galaxy SL i9003(2.3.5) and after that I installed OCLF. I installed the files which said fix the lag and after I saw no change in my phone I clicked the option to remove those files.
After that I used CF-Root Tweak Manager v1.20 and selected all the options (i.e. RAM: Min-Free, SD: Speed Tweak, I\O: Scheduler, Kernel Scheduler, EXT4 Speed, VM: Swappiness..., Ram Script, Auto ZipAlign) and the I selected the option of Applying Changes which Re-Booted my phone.
Since that Reboot I am facing the following problems:
1) Notification bar not showing anywhere.
2) Internal as well as External SD Cards are not getting recognized.
3) Cannot see incoming calls sometimes.
I dont know what caused the problem, OCLF or Tweak Manager. When I go to Settings->SD Card and Phone Storage, it says UNAVAILABLE for both iternal and Ext Memory Cards.
I have tried Factory Reset through CWM Recovery and through the phone as well but it did not help.
Flash an official ROM twice using ODIN... simple.
Wich is that OCLF that you used? Where is it posted? I guess it is not working fine with the i9003
thanks...Ill try that out and get back to you..

This is an unusual problem. I am using a 2GB Sandisk MicroSD card on my G3 running a slightly modified version of DDJP2. The problem i am facing is that i can neither delete the contents of my MicroSD Card nor format it. Here are the steps i took:
1) Tried deleting folders individually as well as batch-wise
2) Unmounted & Formatted SD Card from Phone
3) Connected to a PC running XP SP3 (Both in Kies & Mass Storage mode) and tried to delete / format
4) Tried both quick format as well as the total format
5) Flashed different firmwares, wiped cache/data, hard reset and then formatted
In all the above cases, when i re-checked the SD Card, i could all the original files available on the card. Surprisingly, all the folders e.g. the music/songs folder was working fine.
Deleting the folder(s) shows that the content is write-protected; therefore it is probably not letting me delete or format the contents. While searching for possible solutions i came across some (unique?) methods -
1) Flipping the "write' switch -- Not possible since i do not use an adapter and the MicroSD hasnt got one built-in
2) Taping a notch - Wasnt sure what that meant exactly
3) Try formatting the MicroSD in a Camera - Eh ?
Anyone could possibly enlighten me on how to remove the write-protection on my MicroSD w/o using any kind of external device and possibly by software manipulation only ?
I am too having this exact problem. it's a 8gb micro sdhc.
have you solved it or it was a malfunction on the card?
maybe you should try formating it in cwm?

cwm--clockworkmod recovery.
if you have extended power menu you can enter in it by that way....if not...power off phone..then...hold volume + and - together and press home key and then power on key...hold them together until samsung logo appears then let them go...phone will boot in cwm recovery mode...

the problem is that I don't have a samsung phone. only posted here because os a google search about my problem.
although I have an htc magic 32a but I don't know if I can do that here...
No, i couldnt solve the problem and replaced the card. Although my folders on the "defective" card work fine and i can even transfer them via bluetooth. I must admit i didnt try CWM wipe at that time although i did try advanced wiping softwares via PC. For flashing CWM or a CWM enabled kernel please visit your phone's sub-section on XDA. You must flash CWM on your phone, mot only to try the wipe but also to make a backup of your phone's image in case it gets corrupted and you need to restore it

Tried this on an Htc Magic with clockwork recovery installed. tried to format /sdcard but got error:
"error mounting /sdcard!
skipping format...
done"
tried also partitioning sd card but got error too.
and btw the previous filesystem is exfat so that is why it can't be mounted in android.
anyway also tried formatting in gparted and macintosh. both failed.

hope someone already solve this problem.. .
or else my 16gb micro sd will be gone to waste
I tried all of the possible things on the net.. .

The camera suggestion (formatting after putting in a digital camera) did the trick for me, good idea! It gave me a new set of DCIM folders, but I can pop it into my PC now and just delete them. Seems ridiculous that my camera can do it but my PC can't.
I installed the [ROM-Leak][CWM] Gingerbread 2.3.4 T959VUVKH1 Deodexed Rom, and i'm running Go Launcher Ex, went i reboot my phone, i lost my launcher configuration and somes icons apear without color (in grey) and look like de SD.

This is an issue that seems to be linked to the KG4 voodoo kernel. Chadster found that after flashing the kernel while in CWM voodoo do a factory clear wipe user data. Then reboot will clear that up, and I can say that this method has worked for me.
Back up your apps and data. Then re-flash the rom and kernel. Try what I mentioned above and see if it works for you. I would almost guaranty that it will.
Oooooohhhhhh!!! Of course, Now i understand... they are looking for de old kernel... but it was deleted by the new mod. Now i need to flash Again...
Your answer was very fast and thank you... But i just install the Odin version... but now i dont have CWM, voodoo or what ever...
Can i reinstall the KG4 kernel anyway?

Yea, just use the odin version of the KG4 kernel, it contains the CWM voodoo. After flashing that reboot into CWM voodoo and do the wipe data/ factory reset.
Then reboot. When you try to enable voodoo there is a good chance that you will here linda say something about not having enough space.
If you do hear that, you will be fine just follow these instructions.
1st. make a copy of everything that you want to save from your external sd card, and put it on your computer. (you are about to erase everything on the card)
2nd. place the card back in the phone and reboot into CWM recovery
3rd. go to the Advanced option and select it.
4th. go down to partition SD card and select it.
5th. select 1024m (this is what I use, others may use a different size)
6th. select the OM option (itds on the top and the only one without numbers I believe)
Now wait and let it re-format and create a new Voodoo partition. Once it brings you back to the red Voodoo CWM menu Go to voodoo and make sure that you have everythig enabled. And reboot.
This time you will here the sweet sound of Linda as she converts your phones file structure over to EXT4 (voodoo lagfix)
Excelent, every think is right now.... Veryyy clear and know i understend the process...
Just i try with 1024, but linda tellme there is no enough space... then i try with 2048 and work Nice...
that mint now I have 2gb more in my internal memory???
Or now i can use Link2sd???
1024 or 2048 doesn't mean what space you've got left, it's the, ehm, the size of something when partitioning (in kb, not gb), but not your internal memory space. It's still 1gb, 500 for rom and 500 for apps. Or so I think.
And why use link2sd? android GB already install apps on SD, as long as they are compatible to use on SD. Some apps require that they're installed on internal memory to work properly, this behavior is set by the app developer. So don't mess with them. I've installed 70 apps, some of them are installed on sd card, others on the phone internal memory. Still haven't had any issues with not enough space or something like that.
Just rooted my new 3110, successfully .......(or so I thought) . Now I cannot install anything on internal SD. Whenever I try, I get "not enough space" error message - even the 2 apps(only had the tab 3 days)! that were on the sd before I rooted, have mysteriously moved to phone memory. I cant even install FolderMount , which I had already d/l. Forgive a newbie, but having rooted my Galaxy W phone 18 months ago with very few problems, was hoping tab would be as reliable. Anyone help? (as I dont want to unroot just to be able to use internal sd memory.) Thanks in anticipation.

I'm confused, how did you get apps to run on your external SD without root? Didn't know that was possible. Did you try clearing the dalvic cache? Seemed to do the trick when i had issues with lucky patcher causing that same error. I may be way off base though.
Edit: i think I'm confused, sorry, that advice is surely off. Uhm, perhaps reflashing stock and trying again, seeing as how you do not have much data to loose, using the auto root Odin flashable file.
This is what i use. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33303017

...........Thanks for the help.. Wasnt talking about ExtSdcard, but sdcard0, the internal storage -,sorry for confusion-. Although "Install manager" shows all apps as being installed on "phone" memory, & "external" memory empty, both "Disk Usage" & "Root Explorer" show the same files/size used, in both locations, so I now figure I may have partition problems after rooting (I used this system : http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1596) Will try the auto method as per your link if I cant solve the issue (though hoping a quick fix might be possible.!) Thanks

Still "not enough space" issues.
Ok. I tried wiping data, flashing back to stock rom, then chainfires auto - root method. All went well - device rooted (again!) fine, BUT I`m STILL having problems with storage. Some apps (especially games) wont install - am getting "not enough space" message, just as before. It seems that all apps that need to be intalled on the devices internal "sd" (such as" FileMount") card just wont.
Please forgive a couple of lame questions, but having never owned a tab before, I`m new to their "vagaries" - Also I have searched here & other online forums for an answer, so forgive my badgering all you "fonts of tekkie wisdom."
. Mine is the 8gb model, & I know a lot of this is taken up by system/ram etc - the "device memory" reports a total of 4.49gb, but TB (& other root apps like sd maid) states : Rom 1.26 gb, internal 4.92GB, sd card 4.82gb (with exactly the same space used in both , i.e. 1.50gb. I also have 32gb micro sd inserted. - Is there an internal partition for the "sdcard0" space , or it there a "physical" internal sd card ? If so how do I format thhis? If not could I have a partition problem? (The reason I ask is that none of the "move to sd" apps I have tried like app2sd, install manager etc work - They state, apps have moved when they clearly havent.
So I think it may be an internal partition problem, (which I presume hasnt been solved by reflashing stock, and re- rooting.) - I did notice that when I was re-rooting by CF auto root, in odin there was partition check box, but CF instructions said "if, & ONLY IF, device is bricked, to check this box. - So how can I , - 1. confirm whats causing the problem?, & 2. -Solve it?
Thanks for any help & advise hopefully, proffered, forthwith.:fingers-crossed:
do a simple thing! factory reset your tab. click format sd ! these issues are solved just by formatting the sd, be it internal! :good::good:

Its a partition, its an emulated SD card. I think the post above me has the right idea.
Also, none of those apps will work. You will need use a sdcard swap script, gl2sd(app), foldermount, or some root app or script that is similar to those.
I think you will need a custom recovery, (like cwm, or twrp) to format the internal "sdcard", i never really used the stock recovery much, but it seems like an option they would leave out. I think there is an oden flashable in developer section. I would find links for you, but i got to get the kids ready. Shouldn't be hard to find.
If you can not format the internal SD using stock recovery, here is a link to the Odin flash able cwm.
PS. I really do not think it is a partition prob., and i wouldn't click the repartition option.

Fixed!!
OK Folks - seems I have fixed the problem, by uninstalling all apps (inc "moving" apps) that dont work or are "buggy" , cleaning/wiping caches/data, then I was able to install FolderMount from here, and now all the instability/storage problems gone. (Am so impressed with FolderMount have bought pro, as I am a bit windy when in comes to T.E`s or running scripts! My 32gb is filling fast enough anyway!)
Thanks for the help chaps - dont know what us "am hacks" would do without you! :highfive:

Hi,
I have a question about the app2sd script from kyrillos13.
I have a class 10 16 gb sd card and made a 4gb ext4 partition.
I used app2sd v3 but when the phone boots, the boot sound always plays, even when I put the phone on silent or vibrate. Is there a way to fix this, without deleting/disabling the boot sound completely? I already tried factory reset twice, repartition sd, reflash rom and install app2sd again. Nothing worked.
I'm using stock JPU. I like to use stock and add tweaks and such myself
Should I use an alternative like link2sd or hybrid data2sd?
Will link2sd allow me to install as many apps as app2sd v3 and will the performance be the same?
And what about hybrid data2sd?
You can rename to disable it. I think it might work
yes, but I'd like not having to change around the file, and want it to work like expected. Possible?
Also I tried using HD2SD and moved data log app and dalvik, but I noticed there was some lag when pressing the menu button in the touchwiz launcher. Any way to fix it?
Hi! I installed Speedmod Kitkat 4.4.2 and almost everything works great but the problem is that my device wont recognize my sd card. If I go to settings storage I can see my 16gb sd card there but If I open camera or gallery it will show no external memory. For gallery I used 3rd party app and it worked but for camera no. Help someone!
Go to settings, tap memory, check ''Use external SD as primary", reboot, then uncheck it and reboot
If doesen't work, try to reinstall the rom
I tried checking and unchecking then but didnt work, I have reinstalled rom about 4 times and still nothing. I cant use most of my fav apps and only 800mb memory. Any other solution plz.
