[Q] TWRP Not Loading - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

First thing I did was root with [ROOT] One Click HTC One X (AT&T/Rogers/Others) (Win/Mac/Linux)
Then I installed GooManager and installed Open Recovery Script
Then I turned off my phone then turned it on with power and volume down button
I get to the screen that says ***TAMPERED*** ***LOCKED***
It says:
EVITA PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.09
Radio-0.16.32.09.01_3
etc.
I'm not able to load TWRP here to flash my roms. What am I doing wrong? Please let me know because I cannot stand the ATT bloatware
My One X Stats:

Thank you!

Super CID, then unlock bootloader through HTCDEV.com
SuperCID spoofs your CID so you can unlock from HTCDEV since AT&T phones cannot be unlocked by default, it tricks HTC into thinking it's not an AT&T Phone and allows you to unlock.
Once your bootloader is unlocked then you can flash recovery as you cannot write to the recovery with a Locked bootloader.
Make sense? Good. that being said, if you're not too sure what you're doing, why on earth do you want to root your phone?

Anytime friend. Hopefully I have not put you off to asking for help. It is in your best interest to read thoroughly before proceeding with any flashing. Also, now that you are super Cid' I suggest not RUUing until such a time that you are S-OFF. Good luck, have fun

The latest OTA/RUU installed the new HBOOT which can be UNLOCKED using the HTC Unlock method. Since you were previously S-OFF before the OTA/RUU, you still have S-OFF even with the LOCKED HBOOT, so you should be good to go.

don't forget to enable usb debuging mode from settings
have you installed htc drivers?
also use usb 2.0 ports
and make sure that in your bootloader screen it says fastboot usb(when you connect the device to pc)
Depending which method you use, but I would suggest to remove all usb devices connected to your PC (not keyboard and mouse) before you start.
This is the error I am getting in the bios

S-off on our device does not let you write certain things with a locked bootloader. Why? I'm not really sure.
You can't brick unlocking the bootloader unless you're crazy stupid and doing things wrong.
Do you not have the original unlock token from when you unlocked last time?
If not, does your current rom have root? If so you should be able to hex edit your Cid.
If not you're sol until 3.18 root comes out.

You'll have to wait until 3.18 root is achieved then unfortunately as you cannot change your CID in your phone's current state.
For future reference, don't bother relocking the bootloader after achieving s-off on this phone. It's pointless and creates issues like this.

With the evita, s-off + super cid is not enough, you require an unlocked bootloader aswell.

Hi Guys
I am trying to get SuperCID, S-Off, then --> 3.18RUU and TWRP2.6.0.0 --> CM10.1 or 10.2
I have a phone that i Unlocked bootloader on HTCDev a long time ago. Rooted, TWRP2.6.0.0 running CM10.1 but because newer kernels require newer HBOOT so i am trying to get it.

I have also tried the oneclick SuperSID http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1952038 - didn't work

This should work too:
Code:
adb shell
su
echo -ne "11111111" | dd of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5 bs=1 seek=20
Once you get Super CID, you can get S-Off using the method found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2155071
which worked wonderfully for me just this morning.
Then, once you've verified that you have S-Off, you can update your HBoot using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2156686
I used the third zip listed, worked just fine.
If you do not have S-Off and you attempt this, the chance of bricking your phone is incredibly high.
When you get to green bar, as mentioned in the instructions, let it sit for a few seconds, and then move on to the next step without waiting for it to go away (because it won't...).
Once you're done with that, I would clear the cache using <fastboot erase cache>, flash your recovery software using <fastboot flash recovery "recovery software name here"> and then boot to that to flash your rom.
As I said, I just did this all this morning, and I'm happily running a rom that requires the updated HBoot. So best of luck!:good:
That's not entirely correct. It's not just the hboot you're meant to update. You really should run an RUU.

but when i go into recovery it gives me a big exclamation mark
so presumably the TWRP is gone
So i used goomanager to install. that didn't work.
there's no root (after RUU) presumably normal
what is the best way to get TWRP on, then flash latest CM10.1

Help with S-off, relock boot loader, and 3.18 ruu

Hello,
First thanks to any for all help I'm sure I'll receive. Im pretty sure of what I need to do but I'm a resident physician and can't afford to not have a phone by making a stupid mistake.
So I currently have supercid, am unlocked and rooted with boot loader 1.14. To update basically any roms or my current AOKP ROM I need 2.14. To get 2.14 I need to S-off, relock boot loader and run the 3.18 ruu, and reflash recovery.
Is this correct? The only other I'm confused of is relocking the bootloader, and them unlocking it again.
Thanks for any help.
Sent from my One X using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
You only need s-off to run the 3.18 RUU, locking the bootloader isn't necessary and only creates more work afterwards. So all you need to do is go here and get s-off, then you can download the RUU from here and run it. Your unlocked bootloader and s-off status will survive the RUU process but you will need to install TWRP recovery again afterwards.

Will /SD survive the process as well? I have TWRP 2.6.00 on /SD at the root level and have been able to access it from the bootloader.
Thanks again, Timmaaa!
Your sd card shouldn't be wiped during the RUU process but you might want to make a backup just in case.

This might be a dumb question but how do u run the 3.18 RUU? Do i plug my phone via usb and then run it? What do i do?
It's an exe file, so all you need to do is open it in Windows while your phone is connected in fastboot mode, then just follow the prompts. Make sure HTC Sync Manager is uninstalled, make sure no other programs are running, make sure screen saver/hibernation is turned off.
