you're welcome

Thanks for the replies I did put the file wth the rest I will try the methods you have suggested and let you know how it goes
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using xda app-developers app

don't forget to enable usb debuging mode from settings
have you installed htc drivers?
also use usb 2.0 ports
and make sure that in your bootloader screen it says fastboot usb(when you connect the device to pc)

Depending which method you use, but I would suggest to remove all usb devices connected to your PC (not keyboard and mouse) before you start.

This is the error I am getting in the bios
Sending unlocktoken in <0kb>
Okay [0.156s]
Writing unlocktoken
Failed remote: unlock token check
Failed finished total time 0.177s
Is there something wrong or does it seem I am doing something wrong?

Hi
greetings
1 just tell me did you got your motherboard changed as after changing motherboard you cannot use htcdev.com unlock method
2 If you cannot use this method to unlock your bootloader its totally fine use the link which i have given you before ,you can s off with that meathod and then their will be no need for unlocking bootloader
regards
3 i just checked that your token shows 0kb are you sure as mine was 1kb it dosent make a difference but i think download the unlock token again and see

I had to send my phone off for repairs so maybe I will try the method you have posted, and yes its wierd the file it 1kb but its saying 0kb in cmd

this wont give you cid ..afaik lot of ppl with different cid will have the same config...
go to fastboot on your mobile and connect it to pc..now your mobile screen should read "fastboot usb"
after this on your pc type "fastboot devices" this should give you your device serial number
after that type "fastboot getvar cid" ..this will give you your cid

as you are bootlooping that is the only way to find your cid
try uninstalling htc sync and istalling them again..if that didnt work then follow the below steps
1.uninstall htc sync...
2.get these drivers universal naked divers
3.install them and try to find you device..it will mostly get detected ..as lot of ppl have success with those drivers
4.if your device was found...then try fastboot command again..
(this is the only other way left)

dude ..of course your device wil not be detected by adb ..when you are bootlooping...
the only way is to make fastboot (not adb) recognize your device
to do that ...you need to do what i told you 2 posts earlier

Finding out cid on HTC Sensation
I had the problems others were reporting - with fastboot not finding any devices and adb just saying 'waiting for device'. The solution for me was to run the commands as root (using sudo on Ubuntu Linux). So I found out my cid with the following steps:
1. Downloaded and unzipped the fastboot and adb programs for Linux from the download 'ADB-Linux.zip' at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
2. Booted the phone into the bootloader (by holding the volume down key while turning it on). I had to take out the SD card for this as it was causing some program to automatically load.
3. Selected FASTBOOT on the bootloader.
4. Plugged in the USB cable to my computer. The red 'FASTBOOT' on the phone screen turned to 'FASTBOOT USB'.
5. Issued the following commands in Linux:
Code:
sudo ./fastboot devices
sudo ./fastboot getvar cid

You have to download the android SDK to your pc and install platform tools or contains all the stuff you need to use adb to cmd. U will have to command from your platform tools folder to do this.

The HTC unlock page should walk you through setting up adb. It may seem like gibberish if you're not familiar with the windows command line. You need to have the correct files in a folder, and then open a cmd prompt in that folder. Just start over and follow every step to the letter.
Get to know "adb devices". If it doesn't list a random looking number, adb isn't detecting your phone, and nothing will work beyond that step.
can't unlock the bootloader
Hi there,
I have trouble unlocking the bootloader on my One S. I've been trying since Saturday and I'm stuck.
I've tried the HTCDev moethod but got stuck at "fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin" after this it just stays at "sending 'unlocktoken' (0 KB)...".
Sometimes it stops saying "too many links", but mostly it just stays like this.
I tried 5-7 Unlock_code.bin files which I got from HTCDev, but none was working.
Is it normal that the "Identifier token" differs every time I "get" it?
Yesterday I tried out the All-In-One-Kit by Hansoon2000, got a new token, sent it to HTC and got another Unlock_code.bin.
Then I ran the Unlock bootloader procedure, the phone rebooted via adb to the bootloader, switched to fastboot and got stuck at the same position as mentioned above.
Just now I tried deinstalling HTCSync (read that it could help in an other forum), rebooted my PC and used the All-In-One toolkit again.
This time I got something new:
After "sending 'unlocktoken' (0 KB)..." it said "INFOstart check_usb: usb_ep0: type=128 request=6" but after this nothing again...
Trying it now, I don't get that message anymore. It's just like "gone".
Also tried:
different usb cables
different usb ports
Here is what I get from the cmd prompt:
c:\Android>adb devices
c:\Android>adb devices
List of devices attached
SH241W403657 device
c:\Android>adb kill-server
c:\Android>adb reboot bootloader
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
c:\Android>fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
sending 'unlocktoken' (0 KB)...

edit: just tried it on my laptop via the All-In-One toolkit and it worked fine. problem solved, though i don't know why :S.
The unlock token was probably not in same folder as fastboot.exe OR you weren't in the right directory in cmd prompt. Either way... glad it worked

S-Off with no ROM installed?

Is it possible to get the phone back to S-Off when I have no ROM installed. The unrevoked-program is just "waiting for device".
I had my phone S-Off before, but had plans to return it to warranty so went back to S-On but without a ROM installed. So now I cant do anything with my phone, or is there a way to get a working ROM without making it S-OFF?

[Q] Downgrading hboot 2.02.0002

I've sent my DS off for warranty, and it was returned with the new ics update installed on it. I immediately found out that the method i used to downgrade it from hboot 2.00 to 0.98(zergRUsh/tacoroot) wasn't working anymore. Are there any alternatives to unlocking the bootloader with htcdev, rooting and then going thru the whole downgrading procedures? Are there any other temproot exploits or are them under development?
Try this

or

I've submitted the unlocking request on htcdev, and was sent the unlock_code.bin file. The trouble is I can't get it flashed thru fastboot.
I type

I tried several times, but without luck. What can I do?

Maybe you can try to flash a eng hboot from your SD card on your phone.
You also need a resent version of busybox
Shut down your phone and pull the battery and wait 5 minuter before you put
your battery back. In the mean time install the lastest HTC-USB drivers on you computer.
Start your device in bootloader mode and plug it in to your computer.
You now got bootloader-usb. Now flash your Unlock_code.bin.
"fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin"
Boot your phone in recovery
Make a nandroid backup of your ROM, reboot your phone
To make a backup of the hboot by entering this:
1) open terminal on your phone
2) su
3) dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p18 of=/sdcard/backup.img
download a eng hboot.img and copy it to the SDcard/
1) open terminal on your phone
2) su
3) dd if=/sdcard/hboot.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p18
4) close the therminal
reboot in bootloader an see witch version of bootloader you got
If it has workt go to recovery and do a factory resset, reset dalvik and install a new rom and reboot
It works for me because my phone has revolutionary root but you can give it a try because I have not
found anyone has done this with HTC-dev, I also got no experience with HTC-dev.
Good luck ( I'm not responsible for any damage on your device )

From that page I gave you the link to there should be all the information you need to read and understand what/how to do and why.
Don't expect people to spoon-feed you the answers as you need to learn or you will simply screw your phone up and then start blaming everyone else on XDA for it.

[Q] TWRP Not Loading

First thing I did was root with [ROOT] One Click HTC One X (AT&T/Rogers/Others) (Win/Mac/Linux)
Then I installed GooManager and installed Open Recovery Script
Then I turned off my phone then turned it on with power and volume down button
I get to the screen that says ***TAMPERED*** ***LOCKED***
It says:
EVITA PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.09
Radio-0.16.32.09.01_3
etc.
I'm not able to load TWRP here to flash my roms. What am I doing wrong? Please let me know because I cannot stand the ATT bloatware
My One X Stats:
4.0.3 Android Version
4.0 HTC Sense Version
1.7.3 Software
4.11 HTC SDK API
Thank you!
Download the latest twrp image to your pc. Check the md5 matches. Connect your phone to pc in fastboot and in command prompt type fastboot flash recovery "name of recovery file" without quotations.

Should I put the twrp image into the phone? Also do you type a command by going into my PC and opening the cmd program?

In your bootloader under Cid, what does it say right now?
And is it an at&t phone or no?

Super CID, then unlock bootloader through HTCDEV.com
SuperCID spoofs your CID so you can unlock from HTCDEV since AT&T phones cannot be unlocked by default, it tricks HTC into thinking it's not an AT&T Phone and allows you to unlock.
Once your bootloader is unlocked then you can flash recovery as you cannot write to the recovery with a Locked bootloader.
Make sense? Good. that being said, if you're not too sure what you're doing, why on earth do you want to root your phone?

Ahh, okay so I unlocked and now I was able to install TWRP. Thank you so much for the help. I'm still new at all this but I'm starting to understand it.
Anytime friend. Hopefully I have not put you off to asking for help. It is in your best interest to read thoroughly before proceeding with any flashing. Also, now that you are super Cid' I suggest not RUUing until such a time that you are S-OFF. Good luck, have fun

Now you should make sure you are on TWRP 2.3.3.0. It will prevent future troubles.
