"The code structure is there to support it with minimum effort, but some developer who owns an a510 must step up to become a maintainer."
Anyone ready to do that?
Pawitp is already maintaining CM10.1 for the A700.
... sorry wrong forum.

But not for A510, so he said what I quoted up top. We need a dev. For CM on our a510.

That would definitly boost development for the A510. If you look at the specs of the tablet, there is no reason not to support it.

My 7comp ROM based on CM & AOKP works fine, so we have everything to include easily the A510 device to CM.
I can help if needed

That would be great. Guess all I would need to know how to port from the A700. Then I could always port the lastest build and you could develop them further with your great 7comp ROMs. Only I have no idea on how to port.

No need to port, I have everything needed (I have done the work on my private repository), I can build some CM 10.1 nightlies for A510 if you want
But I don't want to become a CM maintener for now, I don't have enough time for this
sure. i could help but i also do not have a lot of time. just tell me what to do and i should manage.

Hope you will find enough time in the future But anyway, CM 10.1 nightlies would be awsome! :good:
:good: to the CM 10.1 nightlies.
I'd love to learn how to maintain CM10.1 .... just started reading up on the CM website about doing builds.

Hello to all!
Something regarding Android 4.1.2 Dumped from Asus Nexus?
There are sources already, AOKP build 5 will likely be 4.1.2.

why a nexus7 dump?sources was been pushed to AOSP,we have only to wait that teams rebase their roms .Anyways,i have it running on mine devices, and it's nothin special to have rush to test it.
Latest TeamEOS3 #77 is updated to 4.1.2
Seems to be working fine so far.
ParanoidAndroid is 4.1.2 and is by far the fastest ROM I have used including cm10 and eos3 that I keep flip flopping between.
I have found a happy home for now.
Cheers
agreed.on paranoid now, recame here after trying eos,but i prefer this so much more.don't like eos at all

Because to have official support it has to be out of Alpha/Beta stage. In other words it has to be completely stable on hardware level (kernel and proprietary binaries) before it can be included in the main repo and build with only CM not device changes. CM devs will not bother to fix device stuff, only OS related. So if you are reading the CM10 threads you will know that we are far from that still. It may be working but not for all (example the hitachi panel users). Until this is fixed - no official support.

i always thought the cm guys do the work them selves to get everythign working correctly.guess i was wrong
so our devs have to get it stable first.then they add it

i hope youre talking about 10.1?
and i dont know about slimbean, but i think that only open security tethering works on other 10.1 ROMS.
if thats a deal breaker i think i saw a post that said it was fixed in CM so the newest nightly might be of interest to you.

Slimbean isn't a CM ROM. It is a slim down AOSP ROM. There are only the official cm, unofficial cm roms and the hybrid ROMs with cm with paranoid android and AOKP mixed in.

youre right, i lump this whole forum into that category sometimes by accident.
my bad.
I'm referring of course to:
http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/0...repositories-some-cyanogenmod-repos-affected/
Anyone know if there is any kind of work around or when builds will start coming out again??
I was pretty happy with the latest CM 10.1 with the exception of some of the remaining vsync issues.
My bad. I found the unofficial nightly thread. Thought it was some old thread for pre-CM 10.1 work but it is actually newer.
From what i understand cyanogenmod figured out a way to build without the dmca'ed files and should be back to building official nightlies soon
sent from my jellybammed one x

This is the development section of the forum. Please ask questions and reviews in the Q/A forum. Foryour question, I am using CM and it doesn't have any bug(s).
Edit :- misspelled words
Thread moved to proper forum.
unofficial ,it doesnt mean a tons of bugs,it's mean not from CyanogenMod team ,but we can commit or change something to CyanogenMod Gerrit

agree. unofficial doesn't mean buggy. i'm using CM by omerjerk. and so far so good.
but please consider, if you change to another ROM than MIUI you will lose the greatness of its quality camera. (many people complaining about this)
