i hope youre talking about 10.1?
and i dont know about slimbean, but i think that only open security tethering works on other 10.1 ROMS.
if thats a deal breaker i think i saw a post that said it was fixed in CM so the newest nightly might be of interest to you.

Slimbean isn't a CM ROM. It is a slim down AOSP ROM. There are only the official cm, unofficial cm roms and the hybrid ROMs with cm with paranoid android and AOKP mixed in.

Hello to all!
Something regarding Android 4.1.2 Dumped from Asus Nexus?
There are sources already, AOKP build 5 will likely be 4.1.2.

why a nexus7 dump?sources was been pushed to AOSP,we have only to wait that teams rebase their roms .Anyways,i have it running on mine devices, and it's nothin special to have rush to test it.
Latest TeamEOS3 #77 is updated to 4.1.2
Seems to be working fine so far.
ParanoidAndroid is 4.1.2 and is by far the fastest ROM I have used including cm10 and eos3 that I keep flip flopping between.
I have found a happy home for now.
Cheers

I'm searching from some JB AOSP rom. Clean without any mod or tunning.
Yes, for S4.
What is the link?
Thanks.
Too many links to post but you got CM10&10.1, AOKP, Blackbean, DarkJelly.
But CM and others are tweaked roms. Not exist a clean & basic AOSP rom?

CM is the cleanest one you can get, nobody has done a pure AOSP rom and don't see much point in it myself but then I already find CM a bit plan anyway. Just give it a try you might just like it and it not like you have to use said tweaks.
Indeed, theres little to no point with a pure aosp roms. Hardly anyone wants that, it doesnt make any sense when the "tweaked" ones are so much better.
If you want a pure aosp rom, you'll probably have to build it yourself.
I'm running the latest CM10 nightly and like it. Too me, CM is the closest you'll get to pure AOSP without buying a Nexus. I recommend trying it out.

Is there any official or unofficial site to download AOSP roms? CM10.1 has laggy when touch, so frustrating...

Most Stable AOSP 4.2.2

Hey guys,
So I really want to get an AOSP rom but seems whenever i go to one i have problems. I tried LiquidSmooth R2 last night and had problems(LED light not working for SMS).
What would you recommend? I keep seeing CM10.1 but theres so many unofficial builds that i dont know which to go with. I just want stability which i know is a big thing ha. Any suggestions?

It honestly depends on what you want in a ROM as what works for me won't be good for you. Right now am running the Avatar ROM which is CM 10.1 with MIUI themes which is stable for me but like all ROMs you might not have the same experience.
Stable
Official cyanogenmods are usually stable. You can look on their site to find their downloads if you're confused by the unofficia; vs official. Other than that as was previously stated, test out the rom (I usually give the rom a week to see what issues may be present) and use that to determine features you may like. If you want recommendations on roms I would say AOSPA (Paranoid Android), AOKP, Cyanogenmod, carbon rom, rootbox, liquidsmooth(but you already used that), Blackbean(You can try 7, but 8 is on the way), and that's pretty much it, also don't completely turn away from unofficial builds yet. Read the forums and find out about them a little. I've been running an unofficial rootbox with cherrypicks for the last two weeks and it is rock solid for example. Hopefully this helps you out with you decision. Have fun and happy flashing

Liquid works the best for me, great combination of stability and speed. It's also extremely smooth

I haven't tried Paranoid. I can say that Slimbeans is very stable, fast and beautifully constructed. You really won't find any problems that don't exist in the 4.22 ROMs, as a whole.

[Q] Recommend a VANILLA Jelly Bean Rom for a noob

Hey!
Soo haven't been on here but I am starting to get bored of Touch Wiz ..so I was wondering if anyone can recommend me a PURE Android Rom, preferably something with all the current Android features that is also stable.
I also want to be able to run Google Wallet & DashClock Widget ..if possible!
Thanks
You can't really go wrong with cyanogenmod. I'm currently running a nightly of CarbonRom and I'm very happy with it. Not sure your going to get Google Wallet on a Verizon phone. DashClock is rolled into CarbonRom from memory.

Have to ask whats the difference from Cyanogenmod & CarbonRom? Since its a nightly is their any problems u encountered?
Thanks
Cyanogenmod is much closer to Vanilla 4.2.2 (but it does have some custom features). CarbonRom gives you a lot more settings that you can tweak (notifications, icons etc) and includes PIE and Halo. cyanogenmod and CarbonRom (on goo.im).
I had to go with the Nighly to get the camera working. The camera did not work on the stable release so it was suggested to use a Nightly.
you can easily get wallet working on a vzw gs3.

I will def look into Cyanogenmod
..also what is this PIE & HALO u speak of?
PIE is a new menu system (best way I can describe it). Halo is much harder to describe, so the video does it better.

[Q] IS CM stable worth to install?

Hi there mates,
I finally decided to dump the stock ROM and give it a try on custom one.
After reading a bit i think i'm starting to like Cyanogen, but since i want a good stable ROM i appreciated some opinions form anyone who is using it.
1st and really important: my stock ROM does not have any of the know issues (deep sleep probs, random reboots, battery drains etc...) so anyone know if CM 9.x stable have any of this issues?
2nd does everything work? In the CM forums i found no one complaining with "loosing" functionality's but i would like to ear from anyone that uses this on a daily basis. (i found a lot of people complaining with encryption problem and bad flashing but not about Wifi radio, camera, etc...)
3rd: Is this the best choice to use on a daily basis? Or there is a better/more stable/more fluid Rom?
Thanks to all.
Most of the CM 10.x ROMs are pretty stable and usable. I am a fan of the KatKiss ROMs. 4.2.2 has the best functionality, but the 4.3 variant is not bad. The only thng that does not work for me is camera on Skype.
+1 for KatKiss #226

Hmmm, if I did it was a while ago. CM 9 is based on ICS. I have not run an ICS ROM for more than a few hours in over a year. I would say that the Jelly Bean based ROMs (CM10.X) feel SO much faster due to project butter. I flashed back to stock ICS a bit ago, and it feels so sluggish.
Most of the threads on CM 10 you can see how stable they are. I know the No-Name CM 10.1 is rock solid. Joesteink has moved on, but the ROM is still rock solid and many users swear by it.

Is CM finally stable? I had it installed a year or so ago, but then it was still beta for the transformer. Since then I used various flavors and eventually stayed with the EOS-build. Very stable with all the options I ever need (like overclocking and gouvenor-changing). I'm still using EOS, since it's stable and performing very well. Katkiss seems to be the continuation of it, so you could try it yourself And if you don't like it, then you drop it for something else
