Hey all, I just rooted my inspire using Bubby's method and wanted to know if I could safely delete these apps. I did a search but didn't find a list of what you could and couldn't safely delete. I know you can flash a custom rom to remove the bloat but I just wanted root and to remove everything I know I wouldn't use. Feel free to add anything else I can remove that I didn't list. Thanks to everyone that responds.

It would be easier to flash an optimized stock ROM...

What would be some good ones if I decided to go that route? The ones I've seen mentioned a lot around here are Leedroid and Cleardroid. Which would be the best for battery life?

It is simple enough to find this out for yourself. Just make a backup of these apps with Titanium and then use Titanium to remove them (since some of these built-in apps might not uninstall the normal way). If you start to see problems then simply restore the needed app.
Yes, but maybe he does not have that kind of time to tinker with his phone...
You can also try Ingersoll, I found it to be the best optimized stock ROM with no bloatware.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA Premium App
you could also try cyanogen 7.3 or gingerbeast. those are very fast and contain little bloat

Alright thanks for that. This is my first android and just rooted it and now just want to get everything setup how I want it. If I flash a custom rom I want it to be near stock with good battery life and stick with that. I personally dont plan to flash diff roms every couple of days.

I appreciate that. Unfortunately I don't have the kind of time I would like to play with my new phone. Im the father of 7 month old twins and they take up a good amount of my free time.

Download latest nightly and put it on sd card as .zip file (think its 114), boot into clockwork mod, make a backup, do a full wipe, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache in advanced settings, flash CM7, flash google add on, reboot. Enjoy the awesome Rom!

Loving Trigger
Trigger is a wonderfully stable and rock-solid build. GPS locks--check, no reboots and stable check mounts to computer no problem check proximity sensor works, check. The honeycomb lockscreen is wonky, but otherwise its my ROM of choice!
Guys i have a question, i play a bunch of game on my phone. When i do a back up from CWR, does it also backup my data of the games. Meaning when i install the games again on the new rom will i have to start all over and stuff or will it automatically pick up the data saved games?

It will do a complete backup literally exactly as you left it, it will be like nothing happened, meaning yes it will save your saved games.
yes and no

as mister hat said a nandroid will back it up completely so if you return to that rom with restore it will be exactly like when you left.
but if you install a new rom and wipe data and cache unless the game data is backed up on the sdcard it wont pick that data up from the nandroid.
the data will be there if you restore the rom you backed up but wont be found by a new rom.
hope this helps.
G2xtreme is nice. Fast and efficient

Eagles blood had a lot of data disconnects which makes you reboot the phone- at least for me.
CM7 nightly was pretty stable besides the phone reboot (which is more hardware I believe).

Would a different kernel gives better battery life for weapon?
I say Weapon is the best all around. If I didn't think it was so ugly I would use it as my main driver.
CM7 is known for its options and theme support. It has an occasional bug but pretty solid.
MIUI is based off CM7 and is VERY themeable and has its own set of unique options and tweaks. You can change the appearance of everything and mix and match themes, change lockscreen styles, and even boot animations on the fly through their theme app. I also love all of their defaults app (phone, music, messaging apps). I also like how the wallpaper and sound options also have an "online" tab to find and download media to use on the go. Really slick. Its what I use.
Whitehawks MIUI and fauxs 4.1 SV DM kernel.

For first you have to now that you bought poor device so don't expect it runnig fast.
Reflash stock rom, root it and remove all rubbish from system/app. It should help a lot.
Don't put more that 1 widget on the homescreen.
Uninstall Facebook app.

What? No! Xperia J would not be better! Will I have to explain this to everybody?! An XJ has the same internal but a larger screen res, so the GPU works more, plus the increased image sizes from HDPI resources.
@Droidlover123 Try another launcher; the Xperia launcher simply takes up too much memory. If you've tried this, sorry for annoying you!

flashing ics instead of jb rom reduces the lag to a larger extent !
using a cpu tuner and tuning the phone not to get into deep sleep works to reduce the lag to a moderate extent !
I use cm10 and smart launcher, clean once a day with SD Maid and have micro cpu monitor at top of screen. It's ALOT better than it was. Avoid task killers and one touch ram apps. Stop doing things when cpu bar shows full usage.
A crap fix, but it works for me. Hope this helps.

hey guys before starting the topic i didnt made this app but i just saw it in android apps and games and thought it was good to share it with all of u since using roms like cm 11 we often have huge battery loss.
original thread of this app is forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1947559.
Basically this app controls your cpu frequency to maximize your battery consumption. see the official thread for more info.. u can find the app on google play store by simply searching 'opg pro'.
just trying to help people
Hit thanks if i helped you!
Thanx for sharing this awsome app buddy.
Just search, this is all you must do.
