I was wondering if I could downgrade form 4.2.2 PA3 to Stock LP10 Verizon OTA. Is there anything special I need to know, I don't want my partitions to be corrupted again.
Thanks

Is it safe to downgrade from stock jelly bean to stock ICS?
There reason I'm asking is that I wasn't able to get the Jelly Bean OTA to work so I manually flashed the Jelly Bean OTA using Odin. The one I flashed came pre-rooted and pre-loaded with a custom recovery. I want to have a completely untouched stock version of Jelly Bean, something I haven't been able to find here or elsewhere (I would get this by doing an OTA update to Jelly Bean from the stock ICS rom that I flash).
I'm thinking that the reason that I couldn't get the OTA to flash (it gave me an update fail notification every time) was because I wasn't completely stock on the previous ICS version, even though I had unrooted, relocked the bootloader, thawed bloat, etc.
If anyone could answer the first question, and the others I've raised, that would be great.
(I know that it is probably OK, but I wanted to double check since it was a major no-no to downgrade when I had a Droid Razr Maxx).
Yes, you can safely downgrade in order to take the OTAs.
Yes, your past OTA attempt probably failed because you weren't fully stock in some way. There is an error log stored on your phone that you could have checked for the exact cause. As a general note, OTAs require you to be on stock recovery, but not necessarily Unrooted.
You mention that you are unable to find a stock image file for the JellyBean update. This file is readily available here at XDA, and can be downloaded from the following thread:

Performing only Step 1 from that thread would leave you with a fully stock, unrooted, locked bootloader JellyBean ROM.

You do not lose your data stored into sdcard or ext-sdcard
I have a stock rooted 4.0.4. I need to get 4.1.2 because I am having bluetooth problems with my new Ford Fusion with My Ford Touch. When I try to update, I always get "No new software update available". I am willing to do the update manually, but I have yet to find just the update its self. Also I do not want to lose my data. How can I find the update and install it without redoing my whole phone?
Use this guidehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1974114
You need to go to 4.1.1 first since you are still on ICS. There should be an image in the guide that you can flash with odin that will upgrade you without erasing your internal sd.
From there you can take or manually flash the ota to get to 4.1.2

THANK YOU! Exactly what I needed
A friend has been having issues with reception on his GS3. He is on BMB1 while I am on BLK3 but I am on a 4.4 ROM and he's still using 4.1.2. Is there something he can safely upgrade to from BMB1? Is it limited by running JB or KK? I was reading somewhere about the GS3 modems file signature and that you can brick your phone if you flash the wrong one. We are both rooted running custom ROM's.
I'm comfortable flashing from odin or recovery.
Thanks in advance guys.
Can anyway tell me how to update from 4.0.4 to 4.4.2? I just bought a rooted s3 and I unrooted it back stock with odin back to stock 4.0.4. It has always had a custom 4.0 rom running on it so it has never run anything above 4.0. I would like put the stock 4.4.2 firmware on the phone and leave it stock. If I flash 4.4.2 in odin will it be a problem with the older bootloader? Thanks to Anyone.

I'm almost sure you have to update to each version before you can move on to 4.4.2. If your bootloader unlocked based on your Android version why would you want the locked bootloader?

really i just wanted the latest version of stock firmware on it. but I cant do any updates through Verizon. after returning to stock recovery and stock firmware. I thought it would update through software updater, but doesn't, So i was trying to do it manually through odin.
