hi, i remember that recently i read somewhere how to fit more items on a start menue
does anyone know how?
i have searched much cannot seem to find it.
i did it before and it was realllly simple and cannot seem to find it again.
I'm gonna be honest I've looked too and I can't figure out how to disable the enlarged start menu. I know we're both gonna feel kinda silly when it's an easy fix but if that's what you're talking about count me in I need to know too! I use RRE's 4.5 SE and his screenshot shows the smaller start menu and for the life of me man I can't find out how to disable the bigger one! =x
disabling the large start menu is under touch flo options in settings.
Haha thank you so much I knew it was somewhere effin simple!! You just made my day =D
cmon someone must know how to fit more items in the start menu
anyone? know
Start > Settings > System > TouchFlo > (uncheck) Enable large Start Menu
Or you can use a standalone Start Menu program like QuickMenu which offers a lot of great features (long-tap start menu, in-line submenus, custom layout, etc). Have a look here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=471861 <-- see this thread for how one user customized his menu.

I have the best start menu ever n ow, and lag is so far away i forgot it even exists on phones.
Hi all.
I'm new to Android (moving over from WinMo) and I have a couple of questions;
Does anyone know if there are any reliable apps that can change wallpapers at regular intervals or according to location?
It would be great if the app could randomly select wallpapers too.
Secondly, I know that Android (on the HTC Desire/Bravo at least) allows for the creation of multiple panels, is it possible to have the phone switch to a particular panel at a particular time or location i.e. have the phone switch to a work panel at 0900 and then home again at 1800?
Thanks in advance
i love this idea i want to know if anyone gots any info on this as well

Hi.
I found WallSwitch (its in the Market place. This allows random and timed wallpaper switched. It's at version 2.0.2 at the moment.
Neat little heap; stable, doesn't fall over in a heap if the images are moved.
Hope this helps.
I was just wondering if anyone knew of a way to change the operator tag (Where it says "AT&T") on the lock screen, it would be kinda nifty for a user to have custom text there?
You might want to go ask in the desire hd forums. They have had the phone for quite a while so are much more familiar.
Probably need to modify the framework to do that.
I would love to know how to do this myself. Has anyone found out how???
Hi everyone, noob here.
I come to you for advice after exhausting my ability to Google properly.
I have an idea for a homescreen project and I will try to describe it as clearly as possible. I am running a Motorola triumph with cm7.
I saw a screenshot of someone's phone which I am hopeless to find again.
HERES WHAT I WANT:
On my main homescreen I want shortcut links to other homescreens that are organized by function (work, communication, social, gaming). I would like those shortcuts to be text-based, but larger than the standard icons.
As far as I can tell, only adwlauncher ex has shortcuts to other screens. I don't want to swipe, nor zoom out to a view of all screens to select.
The reason adw bothers me is that there is seemingly no way to change the size of icons. I downloaded desktop visualizer but it does not give me the option to choose one of adws "screen 1,2,3" shortcuts to configure.
In the simplest terms, I want adws screen shortcut links with the ability to resize or change them. Maybe I'm missing something simple (this is my first Android and I've only had it for maybe 45 days so that's probably likely), but I wanted to seek advice from the best forum for information.
Thank you for following my meandering mind, if you have any questions I will try to clarify.
James
I hope it's OK, I don't want to make a bad impression, I want to bump this thread.
Have you tried folders I have four system media tools games with hundreds of apps between them.
There's an app called smart shortcuts that organizes stuff all so.

Hey guys. After I saw some pics of the new note edge, I came to a idea: wouldn't it be great if we could have notifications on the navbar?
I wonder if there's any module of xposed installer that would allows us to have something like that? Or perhaps a mod?? If so, where can I find it?
Thanks a lot for the attention
Perhaps if you describe some more details of your idea someone may pick the project and code it.
Where would you place them? How would you interact with them?
Let's say that you wouldn't interact, just scrolling /showing in the navbar,.
There's one project already called: xtended navbar which turns your navbar into three pages : one for the virtual buttons, another for media buttons, and another for quick settings. Perhaps by removing the quick settings, and change it into something like what I've just described.
Does this make any sense to you?
Ie : let's say that you're watching a movie or playing a game and you receive a notification, and you just wanna know what made you phone ring or vibrate. Then the notification would show up in the navbar, by making some text scrolling up in one page of the navbar.
I know that I can always enable heads-up, but I thought in something more small and useful.
Btw : once you clean the notification from the status bar it would be gone from the navbar as well.
Hope you got the idea.
Thanks a lot for the attention
