Hey guys. After I saw some pics of the new note edge, I came to a idea: wouldn't it be great if we could have notifications on the navbar?
I wonder if there's any module of xposed installer that would allows us to have something like that? Or perhaps a mod?? If so, where can I find it?
Thanks a lot for the attention
Perhaps if you describe some more details of your idea someone may pick the project and code it.
Where would you place them? How would you interact with them?
Let's say that you wouldn't interact, just scrolling /showing in the navbar,.
There's one project already called: xtended navbar which turns your navbar into three pages : one for the virtual buttons, another for media buttons, and another for quick settings. Perhaps by removing the quick settings, and change it into something like what I've just described.
Does this make any sense to you?
Ie : let's say that you're watching a movie or playing a game and you receive a notification, and you just wanna know what made you phone ring or vibrate. Then the notification would show up in the navbar, by making some text scrolling up in one page of the navbar.
I know that I can always enable heads-up, but I thought in something more small and useful.
Btw : once you clean the notification from the status bar it would be gone from the navbar as well.
Hope you got the idea.
Thanks a lot for the attention

How to Customize Windows Mobile Notification Popups?
here is an old example what i mean
I would also like to know more about this!
Hey Xplode!
The notification bubble seems to be a regular image file just like the ones used for taskbar, etc. I guess if we look into the mui files, we should be able to find it. If I am right, then one can modify it with any graphics editor and replace it back in the mui just like with the Start logo. Let me know what you think.
well the million $ question is which resource in which file is responsible for notification popup

Seems that we have no choice but to look for it... I see a long night ahead of us. I'll bring the coffee
BTW, where is that screenshot from? Is that a shop or is it real?
well the screeshot comes from early WM5 designs, it was created for operators to show them how they can customize WM5 ...
but this was back in the days and i havent seen such customization anywhere, also the gradient bar on top of any window and notification corresponds by color to the applied theme, but the rest is pure white, so i should find the popup window somewhere and see if it uses any resources at all
any new word on this? i am currently searching but have no leads.
I'm not sure HOW, but I'm 100% sure it's possible - FingerSuite 1.11 does this.
I'm running it on my Jade, and it fully customised the menu's and notifications.

Update; Nope sorry, looked to quickly at your example. Fingersuite only edits the menu with copy/paste etc and the notification popups with yes/no buttons etc.
search for SmileySMS. you can then talk to the author... he might be able to help.
I just got a Samsung S4 (Verizon) because I was tired of Apple's stagnant OS and tiny screens. And I'm a tinkerer, so I'm loving (sort of) the endless ability to change and modify just about everything. And LOVE the big screen (and I have no problem whatsoever putting it in my pocket or using it one-handed...).
I'm encountering a couple of Android frustrations and wondering if anyone can either confirm, "yep, that's how it works", or point me to an app/widget/utility that "fixes" what I'm encountering.
Thanks in advance for your advice.
Notifications and status bar: I have to say I'm missing Apple's red badges that easily call attention to new emails, facebook posts, text messages, etc). I understand that on Android, all notifications show up as those little teeny, tiny white icons in the status bar, amongst the sea of other little white icons (wifi, gps, gestures, bluetooth, etc), making it not always obvious at a quick glance what's new.
I understand swiping down gives me the list of all notifications. But strangely, for such a customizable interface, evidently you have little control over the appearance and order of what's there. For instance, the "ongoing" notifications of WiFi connected shows up at the top, which I dont want to know about at all (along with those from other apps that merely announce the app is working, such as Juice Defender). And others follow in a long list with no particular organization or visual distinction.
I have played with the app SuperStatus Bar to reduce the status bar clutter, but it grinds things to a halt and takes over the notification panel without improving it. I've looked for widgets that show email, sms, etc badges but most are ugly (like most of the email widgets that come with the popular email apps like K-9, Aquamail, etc) or don't function consistently (like Notifier Widget for Facebook).
So, any suggestions or apps that help with this? And thanks to all who have read this all the way to the bottom...
Sorry to know your move to Android wasn't too smooth
I'd recommend you try Floating Notifications once it comes out of beta, holds a bit of promise
You'd get notifications from apps you choose as little floating bubbles.
It isn't too smooth now though.

Apart from that, getting the little wifi icons and bluetooth icons are pretty standard, and if there is a way to remove them, I'm not aware of it.
Also, you could use an app like light flow to make the notification light display a color of your choice based on the notification, it'd let you know exactly what notification you have before you turn the screen on.
I hope I helped

Thanks for your suggestions!
I've been using Notify+ which I like for notifications. The status bar still looks like a mess to me, but I'm sure I'll survive it.
I'm actually starting to get used to the Android way of things and am feeling much better. Loving the bigger screen (Apple is loosing the game in this regard) and the customizability (although this is a double sword when you have some OCD tendencies...).
Sort of wish I'd held out for the Verizon HTC One, rather than the S4. the S4 is great, but I'm finding most of its much-touted whiz-bang features (air gestures and motions) to be gimmicky, buggy, and available in too-few apps).
But all in all, having fun with my new phone!
Thanks again for your suggestions.
Hi guys!
My first thread here on xda.
I'm planning to buy a OP3, coming from a LG G4.
The only things I really want and I always miss when installed a CM on my G4 is its clipboard where I can save everything (text, links etc.) by selecting and copy and call it back from history.
The last trick I will miss is notification button: useful to drag notification page without a swype from above to below on notification bar.
Is there a program similar to G4's clipboard?
Is there a way to add a similar button for notification? (I see that swype in launcher on the op3 but is not the same thing).
Thank you
In thoughts to by an Mate 9 but have a few questions:
1) Is there a expanded desktop option on Huawei Mate 9?
2) Does Nova Launcher work well on the letest update on it?
3) I would appreciate if someone could post a screenshot with the View Mode on the smallest and the Font Size on the smallest? It is important for me to get the very small text you find in Lionage Os.
4) Hows it going with the release of the Kernal of the phone? Lineage Os?
5) How well have the camera worked on previous Huawei phones with custom roms, have they still been the same afterwards? I have experienced on three different phones that the camera went worse after installing Cyanogen Mod, Lineage Os...
6) How hard is it to port the camera app from Huawei to an custom rom?
I can't answer the custom rom and root questions, i can help you with the other stuff though.
1) No there isn't
2) It works amazingly well!
3) what do you want to screenshot me? The settings page with the font size or a specific app?
Sorry for not being able to answer everythinf, hope i still helped you a bit

If you want custom ROMs I'd advise you to find another device if not this is the whole package the best phone I have ever used and I've used most of them.
Great phone. My set up attached with google now swipe left and pixel launcher
What size do you use in view mode and font size on that picture?
Here is my OPO with smallest in both settings

I use custom DPI of 365 set in developer options.
Sorry for bumping a week old thread. Just wanted to let you guys know that you can actually hide the status bar up top. Download Tiles from the Play Store. It lets you add quick settings tiles for just about anything. There's one for immersive mode, where you can press the tile and it'll hide the status bar, navigation bar, system bar or a dialog for your choosing. I have it set so whenever I toggle the quick setting tile, it hides the status bar up top, which is what you are looking for. It works great.
Here is a pair of screenshots of the quick tiles from the app, and how it looks like without the status bar. Let me know if you need any help or have any other questions.

Thanks! The only thing left is a way to hide the Navi buttons in choosen apps, for an example chrome.
Can you guys please add options to hide the video zoom icon, most people don't ever mess with it on the TV since you should watch it in original output.
Also can you give an option to hide the HW+/HW/SW toggle, I never change it and it makes it better so old people won't accidently switch it.
Can you give an option to disable changing the volume all together from doing up or down on remote as sometime we accidently press it.
I've asked for these things months ago and no one has cared to add them even though theyed probably be very easy to impliment and would let the user customize the interface to be how they want it.
Why not use the block option to lock the screen and avoid accidental presses? The option is there.. NO need to add pointless options and clutter the player

Lol? Clutter the player? This is doing the exact opposite.
There also is no way to lock the screen on Android TV version.

We apologize for the delay in our response and appreciate your feedback and patience.
Unfortunately, it's not feasible to make the playback screen icons optional as they are frequently used by a large of users. However, we will share your request to our product team for further review and will work on it if it found to be useful for more users.
Thank You!

How is it not feasible when you guys give us the option to disable fast forward/rewind and next/previous buttons? You can't give us an option to disable zoom?
