Clipboard and notification button - General Questions and Answers

Hi guys!
My first thread here on xda.
I'm planning to buy a OP3, coming from a LG G4.
The only things I really want and I always miss when installed a CM on my G4 is its clipboard where I can save everything (text, links etc.) by selecting and copy and call it back from history.
The last trick I will miss is notification button: useful to drag notification page without a swype from above to below on notification bar.
Is there a program similar to G4's clipboard?
Is there a way to add a similar button for notification? (I see that swype in launcher on the op3 but is not the same thing).
Thank you

Old Notification Manager,for gods sake..Please..

I have searched the whole xda forum but couldn't find a solution to remove the crappy new notification manager on my TD2. This is so useless, why a Notification Manager will pop up when I click the Battery or volume or network icon,it should show the details of every icon separately.I just want the OLD notification manager and I am sure I am not the only person who wish to have the Old one. So guys please tell me some positives, will look forward to your inputs.
Thanks in advance.
ya, i need it too
Yes, that was the first thing that struck me too!
I went and disabled that crappy notification manager completely. I now get the WM 6.1 bubbles.
.
Actually.. my issue with the new notification manager is the speed.
I want instant access to these.. not requiring me to wait abt 1-2secs.
the diamond1 screen was simple and basically had enlarged icons only.. but that was instant. Does anyone know if we can use the D1 notification manager on our D2?

How did you do that?
I already wrote about it on my blog (in german) at
http://mytd2.blogspot.com/2009/06/unnutzer-benachrichtigungsmanager.html
about it, google translates it to:
http://www.translate.google.de/tran...nager.html&sl=de&tl=en&history_state0=&swap=1
Not a very good translation lol - might post things here shortly, but you should get what it's about.

Hm,but didn't understand the last two .cabs. There are two cabs, why are they there? If I install the 'NoNotification' cab will it work? or it's a must to install TaskManager 3.1 and Registry Editor?
CABs that only have registry tweaks in them don't appear as "programs" so they can't get uninstalled that way. That's why I put 2 CABs, one to make the change, one to revert it.
NoNotification.CAB will deactivate the notification manager (soft reset required)
Notifcation.CAB will activate it again, in case you don't like the changes it brings
No need to install FDCSoft's TaskManager or a Registry Editor, those are both alternative ways to the CAB installation.

Thanks a lot, that cab did work great.
Hi,
I agree that the Topaz Notification Manager is quite useless..but did anyone try the Enhanced Notification Manager? It's functional, without going back to old notification systems. Because finger tapping the icon you want has become very difficult (e.g I have a modded task bar with tiny icons), you still get the entire list of ongoing notifications, but each of them is clickable and redirects to the relative settings.I'm happy with it .

You can find Topaz Tweak Software here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=502102 , with it is possible turn off and on Enhanced Notification.
Does Enhanced Notification Manager works with MS Shell 3.0?
Cos I disable the TF3D and runing MS shell 3.0

How did you get the small task bar icons? Would it work, or do you know how, to change the keyboard (SIP) button size - the button has a large tap area which prevents me from tapping the toolbar buttons in some programs - it seems to overlap the other buttons so when I tap them only the keyboard pops up!!
good info here!

Thanks TinTin - excellent tweak. It worked for me. I used MemMaid instead for Option 1.

[REQ] ONLY Call History button on home screen

I know it's been discussed a lot and I know that there are already multiple threads about this, but I'm looking for a cab with ONLY Call History button above Calendar.
Some of you will say that there is Cokie (or whatever name it was) and there is Jamrecords 16 Shcut & Calls, but I do not want those. Cokie for example disables swipes between screens, but I use that option to go from home tab to People. Jamrecords 16 Shcut & Calls has only 16 icons on home screen, I use 20 icons.
I also do not want any fancy icons or whatever, I just want the button with the black and white icon.
thanks in advance...

You can use Co0kie's Home Tab for this. You can turn off all the other features and it does not stop you from sweeping from tab to tab. That was in a very early version and was fixed quite some time ago.
Thanks johncmolyneux for your answer. You are right that I can install Co0kie's Home Tab and turn everything off only leaving the Call History button, but I really don't like the idea to install such a huge addon and only using it for a button. That's why I'm looking for an option just to add this button.
After an hour of digging I really can't find a standalone solution for this. And I do not have the time to dig into windows mobile to create such a solution by myself.
thanks again for your suggestion...
+1 for just the Call History and if possible without the Calendar as I never use the phones calendar for appointments so would rather get rid of it. I've been searching all morning/afternoon so far and I know Cookie's app does this but I don't want everything else I'm happy with my phone in it's stock form would just like this little add-on. Does this exist?
Thanks

[REQ] SMS quick delete button

I apologise forth with if someone has asked this before (I have scoured the forum before hand in case anyone asks) but has someone developed a .cab for placing a delete button beneath the 'create new sms' in the 'sense' sms view and if not would it be possible?? I just like the idea of a quick view of the text on screen and if its pants just one button to delete would be handy instead of going through the regular motions.
Thanks in advance
JR
Do I get any paddles for my dinghy?? lol
x
That would be handy, indeed!
actually while im at it what about in the email sense window too right below 'new message'

List of open apps as icons in bottom bar

Hello my fellow tf700 users,
I find it really annoying to have to open the recent apps list to see what i have open. I have gestures set up that allow me to swipe from the bezels to switch bw apps, however, I am curious if anyone knows of a tweak/app that would simply list open apps as icons in the bottom bar to the left of the clock. kind of like the taskbar in windows (never thought id say that), yet I dont want them to be interactive or anything (simply grey icons like the storage/KB dock icons). I find opening the recent apps list to check what is open incedibly redundant as I already have gestures that allow me to quickly swipe to switch apps. This may seem trivial, however, this is my primary device, and workflow is very important to me for school. I am simply trying to limit the number of gestures I have to initiate to get **** done.
Best,
Lucius
To me, it sounds like you want the VivoTab -- indeed, Windows-based.
Sent from a comfortable chair from the outer ring of Purgatory. The red guy asked me to say 'hi'.
Hmm I took don't really see the need. Google put the recent apps there for a reason. It's a single click away and includes swipe to close. How does moving it to the notification bar make it any simpler?
BTW prepare yourself as the 4.2.x update will really annoy you as notifications are now in a split bar up the top wasting screen space.

I dont use the recent apps list to switch apps, i use 1 gesture to do so. the recent apps list forces me to tap it, find the app, then tap the app. doing more than 1 gesture breaks my train of thought when im switching between a pdf im reading and evernote where im taking notes. with my gesture i swipe from the bezel and it switches instantaneously fwd/bckwd between apps. I would like to be able to see what i have open so i dont need to open the recent apps list, as sometimes i forget. It doesnt seem like a big deal but workflow is huge for me.
Ive seen 4.2 and it looks terrible, we are deffinitely on the same page. please avoid includig it in later versions of CROMI unless necessary lol.
That's exactly why I use a floating notepad - take notes without having to switch apps, and paste then into another app when I'm done...

Notifications on navbar

Hey guys. After I saw some pics of the new note edge, I came to a idea: wouldn't it be great if we could have notifications on the navbar?
I wonder if there's any module of xposed installer that would allows us to have something like that? Or perhaps a mod?? If so, where can I find it?
Thanks a lot for the attention
Perhaps if you describe some more details of your idea someone may pick the project and code it.
Where would you place them? How would you interact with them?
Let's say that you wouldn't interact, just scrolling /showing in the navbar,.
There's one project already called: xtended navbar which turns your navbar into three pages : one for the virtual buttons, another for media buttons, and another for quick settings. Perhaps by removing the quick settings, and change it into something like what I've just described.
Does this make any sense to you?
Ie : let's say that you're watching a movie or playing a game and you receive a notification, and you just wanna know what made you phone ring or vibrate. Then the notification would show up in the navbar, by making some text scrolling up in one page of the navbar.
I know that I can always enable heads-up, but I thought in something more small and useful.
Btw : once you clean the notification from the status bar it would be gone from the navbar as well.
Hope you got the idea.
Thanks a lot for the attention
