Are you international or in the US? Is your phone a 925 or 926? People really need to start clarifying this. If you're international and on the XT925, you can unlock through Moto. However, no-one ever posts this, they only say that they have a HD.

Don't expect to be able to root and unlock it. You might have a better chance of getting root, but I wouldn't hold your breath.
As for me, I will hold off on the kit kat update, when it comes, before I apply it. I want to make SURE it doesn't re-lock my boot loader. I doubt that it will, since it's a physical change in the hardware (blown fuse), but you never know.
Always best to wait and see what others have to say before taken any OTA.
Lol if i can root okay, it's kitkat i don't need anymore, with xposed framework yo, you can custom your rom however you want.
Hope the update come this month
Also, sorry for my bad english lol.

1. Is it really that important that you have to start a new thread about it?
2. It is obvious that nobody can know this at this time, so again, why start a new thread about it?
3. Is there any important fix for Moto G in 4.4.3? I´ll answer myself - no, there isn´t. So why start a new thread about it?

Yes. There are. Read changelog:
1.) data connection fix
2.) led after lost call fix
3.) others
So...

Isn´t that all for Nexus only? AFAIK yes - I´ve never seen those problems on a Moto G.
You are right that the forum is not mine, but I still can´t see a reason to start another useless thread. And yes, it is useless, because even if there was a single fix for Moto G, it is clearly obvious that noone can know if and when the update is coming.
I think in news mentioned to G but GPE

If the 4.4.3 update was Nexus only, how come the Moto X showed up as one of the first to get it after the Nexus 5 and so on? It's obviously not only a fix for the N5. Pull that head of yours out of.. you know, and be a fine person for once, the guy picking on the OP.
So anyways there isn't news about the G is getting it, not even when. Although I read yesterday the update might hit us in April yet, could be horse****.

I was talking about the fixes that Denzel mentioned. Those are Nexus specific.
Sorry for being so blunt, but I remember XDA from days when smart people came here to share useful information and to ask smart questions. The question in the OP is neither. Today this forum is full of noobs that either ask questions that have already been answered 100x or questions about deadlines. Like the one in the OP. Neither is useful for anyone and OP´s question even can´t be answered..

None of the reasons you gave are enough to pick on him and be rude, it's a question made out of curiousity in the proper section of the sub-forum. There is nothing wrong with it, perhaps someone else would know something the OP doesn't else I doubt he would even bother coming in here and asking on the first place. If you don't wanna answer it, leave it be that someone else might just do it, there's no need to show off the high horse you're riding at right now. And last I checked, the more old grumpy users complain about this kind of posts, the more the forum loses activity - seen it happen with dozens of others. Nobody wants a dead community, but a active and sharing one, at least from my part.
Anyhow, it's answered, if any news come up of the update it will be posted.

I don't remember, but think not, maybe you will make the update manually, in this case you make a conversion from international version to gpe so this can be a problem about automatic updates. Hope someone will can reply with more help.
4.4.3 update?
When 4.4.3 update will be available for Moto G? Please reply

The rollout is starting this week. It may take another few weeks before it is rolled out to all users. The rollout doesn't even seem to have began yet for the G anyways.

As a matter of a fact some people started recieving it today on Brazil, a couple hours ago. Some people as in 1 to 5% of users, it will sure take a while for everyone to get it.
I was doing a Google search for a possible solution to the WiFi problem in CM11 and I found a post in reddit for the Moto G where somebody used a custom kernel to fix the issue successfully. I know I should probably post in the Cyanogenmod forums or in the Dev section here (I actually tried the last one but since I'm a noob member I'm not allowed to eat at the grownups table). Anyway just thought I would through that out there for anybody that is willing and able to try this to see if it works. I'm not a developer so I don't have the first clue how to do this, but if someone points me in the right direction I will gladly do the work myself. Thanks.
I can't post the link but I searched "wifi connectivity cm11 kernel fix reddit" and it's the first link that pops up
The only Dev working on a custom kernel for this device is arrrghhh BUT is for JBBL cuz his device don't have been updated to KK and maybe never will. There are some guys in this forum with some knowledge for build from sources maybe somebody can build a custom kernel with the fix.
This is the sources for the wifi fixed custom kernel for moto g:
https://github.com/Klozz/android_kernel_motorola_msm8226 maybe can merge some things to fix the WiFi issue for the HD

Is this why we have to use static ip's on the majority of routers?

Sorry DorianX, but I'm confused. The razr hd I thought was upgraded to stock Kitkat a few months ago, is this different from the KK bootloader?

The wifi issue is due to the firmware (radios), not the kernel. It's just that they updated the firmware along with the KK update.
So, it would take Moto releasing an updated firmware to correct the issue with WiFi I believe.
Yes, the Razr HD was updated to KK months ago but the Photon Q xt897 doesn't (arrrghhh's device) that's why he doesn't update his kernel to KK bootloader.
Maybe you don't know that some Motorola devices share the same chip that's why we have unified builds
i've never had issues with wifi, cm11 jjbl. even on corporate eap wifis

So is the answer that we need to downgrade to jbbl? If that is the answer, where can I find the last Jellybean ROM to flash which Motorola put out, or is that not possible anymore?
Or is there a thread somewhere that has the answers to the jbbl and Jb ROM questions I can read for myself?
Razr Maxx HD XT926 183.46.15 Build KDA20.62-15.1
Thanks

The answer is that the 'no IP assigned by DHCP' issue in the wlan driver in the kernel for CM11 moto_msm8960 builds was fixed on Oct 7th 2014.
(And the same fix was later applied to CM kernels for Moto X and Moto G as well.)
I've been using my Nokia 7 Plus for quite some time now, and it's been stuck on Oreo 8.0 and Security patch level : February 1. I haven't got any notifications for the already out Oreo 8.1 update. Does anyone else have the same issue? [wrong section, can a mod move this to Questions & Answers?]

Nokia support just said that the 8.1 update will be coming soon with a May 2018 security patch.
Something that seems to work for some people is to remove your sim card, disable the GPS, clear the cache and data of carrier services under the apps menu (you'll need to click on the three dots and show system apps first), clear the same for Google Services Framework, reboot, connect to the Belgium server using Psiphon Pro (a VPN app). Choose to tunnel whole device. You could also try other locations like Germany and Denmark in Psiphon Pro. Some people have found that if it doesn't work, a factory reset prior to connecting to the VPN has triggered the update, but that's pretty extreme. Let us know if it works, as I don't own the device and I'd be interested to hear if it's effective.

Sorry, but I didn't try the factory reset method but the rest of the steps didn't work for me on my phone.
I just skipped the update !!! in Spain TA-1046, downloading !!!
I've just got the update. Can a mod please close this thread?
I have been using this phone for a week now in India. Haven't recieved the update so far. I'm also bit tensed as I am unable to register my phone for Android P Beta program as well. It shows that my device is not eligible.
Just got the update, had to remove sim and reset the phone, ta 1062 received 8.1 Orso at boot.
I am on the 55 model, still stuck on February security patch and 8.0, not even a VPN has helped, no idea how to get this thing to find the 8.1 update.
I'm on the 1055 in Australia. Got the phone a week ago and when I was doing first setup it didn't let me continue until I did the 8.1 update. So mine showed up during setup.
I'm in the UK, bought the phone unlocked and using it with EE. Switching to an O2 SIM temporarily made the update appear literally immediately.
so i got an 8th gen fire hd for Christmas and at the moment it is charging because it was dead dead. should i just use the tablet as normal or anyway to block OTA updates? or should i just use the device as offline tablet untill a rooting method is found? what think chances are rooting method would work on older FW but not newer even though exploit not yet released.
so mine and my moms tablet both shipped with 6.3.0.0 but im confused both have same FW versions but my moms has 27 apps pre installed and mine got only 22 preinstalled both have not been connected to net.
