HTC Explorer no memory right after flashing rom - HTC Pico (Explorer)

I have a problem. I install a rom and follow all the steps. But after booting it immediately tells me I have nearly no memory left. (that happens on all Roms lately)
Please help me.

Partition your SD card and Use a memory increasing script.Ungaze is the best...but you might have a burnt NAND..there is a guide in the forum to have to recover from burnt NAND by Cute_prince find out and see....have you been using a Overclocked kernel or something? and when did you root your phone? I mean did the problem start immediately after you rooted and installed a ROM or after few days/months of Rooting your phone?

I rooted my htc explorer longer than a month ago. It happened after i flashed a rom after having cyanogenmod 9,1 for some hours.

than it might be a burnt NAND or recovery problem as well...just install other recovery, make a clean install of any ROM.If the problem still exists.. follow the procedure for recovering from burnt NAND by cute_prince.
or else try using memory increasing script after partitioning your SD card.....

I am using nextgen rom 1.5 with akya's kernel at the moment. But how can I do this step from the tutorial? "Make sure Root Access is enabled for both Apps and ADB in Developer settings" Are there even developer settings in android 2.3? I only saw it in cyanogenmod 9 (android 4) yet, and i can't install that rom. How can I enable those settings??

[DISCUSSION] SENSE4.0 Build#n

This is Discussion and Q&A thread for Sense 4.0 based Roms.
I had seen lot of Questions and Doubts going on in the Dev threads, from bootloops to apps that are working to which Rom to flash.
So you can post your queries here and help each other out.
People who successfully booted these builds can post their procedures here for others to follow.
But if you guys wanna post requests for future builds, do that in the respective threads.
For ppl troubled by bootloops while flashing Sense based Roms, check this out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37374315
It's a temporary fix until derefas releases build#5.
For those who don't know or who are lazy to include those lines given in the post, here is the link to modded mv2ext script:
http://db.tt/EFOHAoeq
-Download the mv2ext script from the link.
-Open the Rom zip and copy it in the additions folder and flash the Rom.
-Please save the original mv2ext file separately, so that if this doesn't work you can come back to original.
==> And for people who keep asking about the differences between JaggyDzire and FlyRom :
1. Don't ask questions comparing Roms.
2. Please always read the changelogs and bugs posted by the OP.
3. Read previous posts. Your question might've already been asked and answered. Please dont come up with an excuse that you are lazy to read through.
4. And use Q&A or discussion threads to post questions, if you consider yourself a newbie

Well being a fan of Sense, I flashed Sense 4.0 build#4 and it booted.
What I had:
- TWRP Recovery
- 1.4GB ext4 partition
- 16GB class 4 SD card
- Superwipe.zip by akya
- Downloaded Sense4.0build#4.zip
- Working HTC Explorer
- And most important patience!
What to do:
- Download the Rom.zip and place it in the root of your SD card.
- Reboot to TWRP Recovery.
- Flash Superwipe.zip. Wait for it to reboot into recovery again.
- Wipe Dalvik cache.
- Dont mount any partition for build#4 (if you're flashing older builds then mount Cache and sd-ext)
- Flash Rom.zip.
- Wait for it to boot. Takes 5-7mins. (Don't unlock the lockscreen right away. Wait for couple mins more to let things settle)
- If it reboots after unlocking the ring, pray it doesnt end in bootloop.
{Edit: Few people were able to go around the above problem. Look at this by 'new to hacking' : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37197065
This one too by Danceoff: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37177043 }
- Go through initial setup and enjoy the Rom.!

For those suffering bootloops with sense 4, they can try the JaggyDzire v1.1 posted by Apex-Predator. JaggyDzire v1.2 has been posted, yet version 1.1 has no bootloop issues as compared to version 1.2 as far as i tested. Dont mount anything except sdcard.

Heres CWM Recovery 6.0.2.8 for Pico
Much faster backups and restores as compared to Yannou's recovery (CWM 5).
SD-Ext is fully supported and working fine.
Features:
New backup format that de-duplicates data between backups.
Faster backups.
Fixed restores > 2GB.
Minor UI tweaks (new background, animated Android).
Smaller backup sizes due to deduplication.
Credits:
Sakindia123, Lirokoa, LiVeRpOoL-FaN, and all others for CM device tree for Pico.
Clockworkmod for the recovery.
immortal_yash for testing.
Downloads:
1. For installation from PC:- Download Here
2. Recovery.img for installation from phone:- Download Here
Instructions:
From PC:-
1. Download the files from above required for installtion for PC.
2. You must have adb and fastboot drivers installed. [Search Google for that ]
3. Execute the required scripts.
Install-windows.bat if you are on windows.

4. Done.
From Phone:-
1. Download and install Recovery Flasher Utility.
2. Download recovery img from attachments or above links.
3. Place recovery.img in /sdcard. (Root of sd card).
4. Open the app and flash the recovery by pressing the "install recovery" button (Please be patient, wait for all the toasts to go away or it might not flash right).
5. Done.
Bugs/Known Issues:
1. Capacitive buttons are non-functional. (Use volume up/down and power.)
2. You report
Warning: This recovery has been tested and working fine. If you somehow manage to brick/damage your phone, its your responsibility, not mine. Just a friendly reminder
If you are coming from CWM 5: (Yannou's Recovery):
Backup your clockworkmod folder on your PC.
Then it delete from your /sdcard.
Then boot to this recovery.
When I initially switched from CWM 5 to CWM 6, it gave me some problems. After doing the above procedure, everything is fine.

usually when you compile a device for cm the resulting build also creates a recovery.img of the latest version of CWM (some tweaks maybe needed for unsupported devices) as it has most of the device specifics needed already, you can also build your own seperately on the CWM Recovery Build Server HERE

Hi mate.. I think you mean to say that the phone doesn't stay off when you charging the phone after its fully discharged.. I.e. it boots into recovery when the phone is switched off and charged.. Well that is a known bug.. Its mostly cause of the kernel AFAIK.. however sense ROMs have no such problem try it out...
And the phone charges even if it reboots into the recovery so I think there are no issues

I think the ROM doesn't show monitor in other recoveries cause maybe the recovery links it to certain media for the charging animation in the media.. Cause for eg in sense 4 there is a separate folder for charging animation in the media folder of the ROM

Here's what I think...
These files work, when the phone is turned on..
When turned off, the recovery itself has a copy of this files.. and the recovery shows that when switched off. Because when I use yannous(in Cm 10) and boot into recovery ,I find a separate list of charging files mounted @ /res (similar to the oneS here, but not found in /system )-aroma file manager shows like that. Pardon me, if I am wrong.
『Moved by touch™』 ?
LâTêS†↭ⓛⓘⓝⓚⓢ™CM10 HTC A310E
Hmm probably you are right.. Maybe it does have a few files itself. Sense 4 has a custom kernel built only for itself.. Even though Its a " port ".. Its a cm9 build built and kangbanged (as Sak calls it) from golfu.. Probably these files are the files meant for the screen off (sleep//) charging. Not switched off charging .. Probably gotta drop something with the kernel.. Better still we can confirm this from a current user who is on a recovery other than yannous and on sense 4.. That way our doubts will be cleared..

No, that is incorrect. You are able to edit the system partition but not radio or rpm, tz, rcdata etc. with an unlocked bootloader but no S-OFF. S-OFF enables you to do anything and edit any partition.

I think everything you need is the relocked bootloader.
Yeah, the ruu will write the recovery back to stock itself. The only thing you need to do to run an ruu is relock the bootloader.
Keep in mind you will lose root if you run the ruu.
Thanks and yes i am very well aware of that and if he tryes to flash custom roms like Viper S,the phone boots just fine but there is no gsm signal,is it because of the kernel and can he use the stock cernel with the Viper rom ?

It sounds like it could be just a modem configuration problem. The first place I would check is: open up the dialer and type *#*#4636#*#* This will open a screen called "testing." Then go to "phone options" and scroll to the "preferred network type" option. Make sure that an option is picked that includes GSM. Be sure not to change any other options unless you know what they are for, this screen alters the core of the phone.
You also get to show off a hidden menu on your friends phone

It is my understanding that viper works fine with the stock kernel.

So as the title says it,my friend rooted his phone and is still runing stock so he wanted to delete a couple of unecesary apps like Facebook twiter using Titanium backup and when he did that his phone rebooted and even if he does uninstall all these apps, after he reboots his phone none of those apps are gone so please help

it happen because the kernel is with write protection i.e. u can change the system partition ones but it be rolled back to stock after reboot
to avoid this you have to install a custom kernel with write protection disabled like Bullet proof kernel by flar( it is shared in forum have a look)
Ok thanks im gonna tried it with his phone when i have time and guess what that menu even works on my Htc One X
And know i wanna know if his HBOOT 2.15 might be causing this problem, because i see that most people on this forum have a lower HBOOT like 1.15 if im not mistaking ?

how to increase internal memory
since its cm11 and kitkat please post a script that could help increase the internal memory of PICO from mere 150 MB to atleast 750 MB as in the case of cronmod scripts. It would be great help if there is some alternative script for achieving this

You find it in CM11 system folder. The file name is 40int2ext. You have to move it into the init.d folder using a root browser app. After moved the file you have to give it all permissions tipping all empty boxes. In order to use the script you must have an ext2 partition on your sd card.

Use int2ext but to use that you need to partition your sdcard

Hi Gamersab, your release of this rom is really smooth and works so fine. It would be great if you could fix the camera and the video playback bugs. I'll tryed with google camera and some lens blur libs as you wrote but I can't solve the problem.
Another trouble I'm facing concern the OC kernel. When I start to use frequencies over 600 mhz I get errors trying to install new apps.
I hope you can help us.
Thank you in advance.
Wifi not working
After I installed everything, wifi worked during setup but after I've logged in to google, wifi cannot connect anymore. Im also using OC 800mhz, I think that doesn't matter but then maybe I don't know.
I've flashed the rom twice, I also used superwipe.zip every flash and still the same problem.
Can anybody help me with this? It would be very much appreciated. Thank you
Pro - Every thing Working (excpt cons) with Good battery life
Cons - 1) No Video play back (even with any other gallery app)
2) Camera not working (even Google Camera App as posted in some Cmnt!!)
Except this 2 concerns ROM is fab for our PICO!

Why you want to go back ? (just to know)
Hi. I flashed the rom with twrp aw3som3 2.8.0.0. Installation was successfull but after reboot it hanged on the white htc screen. How could I fix it?
P.S.: I had original twrp before and used flash_erase because of symlinks failed error during installation. After that I installed twrtp aw3som3.
