try a cleaning of cache and factory reset or cleaning partition....
i tried it and it works.... altohugh the ICS homescreen give force close error after every screen unloch, but no other probs.....
BTW borax still loves A60, he's a high devloper so he might be needin a high end phone for devlopment as A60 is a good phone for first Android enxperience.....

i renamed the IceSW_v1.0b_stable.zip file as update.zip and copied it to the sdcard and then rebooted in the recovery menu and then selected apply sdcard:update.zip. Then an error occurs saying
Opening Update Package
verifying update package
E:signature verification failed
installation aborted.
E:can't find MISC:
Please help

Which recovery r u using...stock recovery or coustom recovery.....

Thanks for the great work done by everyone, specially to rudie_techie, where i searched for the android update 2.3 to my micromax a60 but i have got the 4.0 treasure gold Now.
Here i got some question that is this a update for ics andro 4.0 or just a shell because in the image posted it shows Firmware version 2.1-update1
Here my question is if i update this rom, can my micromax a60 be consider as android 4.0 in android market
and can i install the android 4.0 application in my micromax andro a60
If there any problem with the ics 4.0 then is it posible to roll back settings to 2.1

It is a theme ROM(it's themed ICS over 2.1, still 2.1), and yeah if in future we get android 4.0 update then our phone will be considered ICS in market and we'll be downloading apps of ICS also.

Not looking to start an argument, but I think it's kind of misleading that you should advertise your ROM as "fully working" in the thread title, when there's all these sorts of bugs around. Just saying.

Yeah, sorry about that. I didn't define fully working in my terms. I meant that you should be able to use it on a daily basis without the bugs affecting you too much. At least I have for the last 4 days

You can simply install “Mounts2SD” from Play Store. The forum thread for M2SD is here.

You should be experienced enough in this forum to not just say, “X isn’t working—help me!” Without any details, nobody’s going to be able to.
And, of course, this is a development thread. That’s why I gave you the link to the M2SD thread in case you had any questions and/or trouble.

@tommy , gettin symlnk failed error in 4ext recovery !!

So far so good. Flashed the rom after deleting some unneded files to me in the zip, flashed the aroma installer version of mount2sd and now restoring apps in titanium. Everything works at the moment. Keep it up.

After running your Pixeldroid port as my main daily, I just had to try this one out.
So far I have noticed the expected camera issues, both in stock and Focal apps, a bit of flickering and mis-registration on the screen, but for me camera is not a huge issue, I rarely use it.
So far everything else seems to be stable, I'll keep an eye on it this week, but so far it looks to be a very smooth and stable port.
Using the Int2Ext2 version that @itsmebhupendra posted seems to work perfectly, although the menu in Ext4 Recovery had a little issue handling it initially, it seems to be installed and not causing any issues.
Keep up the good work, as a relatively average user I appreciate the hard work you and other Devs put in to keep our beloved devices up to date and relevant in a world obsessed with the new and shiny

One bug I noticed is that I can't change the lockring shortcuts, it keeps reverting back on stock shortcuts.

I am getting an “Installation aborted (Status 7)” error, just after the installer seems to take excessively long when it says “setting permissions”. Exact message is:

thanks for all the effort you put, i have issue with installation.
I downloaded "miui_a117_javajohn_4.2.18_c8e3a6f79b_4.2" rom from miui india official site, i was running lewa5, and i did all the steps for installation as you mention.
But my phone is stuck in boot loop i think(initial micromax M! logo ). I tried it multiple time but still same.
How long does it take to boot for the first time? is there anyway to fix it? any tips about how to check what could be the issue. I don't know much about debugging and all adb stuff but i can follow steps and all.
EDIT:
i get following message will doing reset,
"no app2sd partition found. skipping of /sd-ext"
I don't know if its anything to do with that.

Check if your Downloaded package is fine, sometimes it can be the issue..
We can check it by comparing MD5 unfortunately on mega its not possible.
Another thing, do factory reset and than wipe delvink cache. Then do to mount and storage from there.
format /system
/cache
/data
There is no sd ext partition in your sd card that's why it skip that.
Install package and boot up..
I want to share a problem regarding call volume when using headphones and playing music.
It's a very critical bug, when somebody calls me while m listening to music call volume is very low, many times my mic also do not work (headphone).
Please fix it.

i assume if zip file extract properly without any CRC errors usually means file is intact and same as original.

Yes u have to d/l the whole rom again to be on 4.2.18 now we can expect 4.2.21 from @Javajohn anytime but need to fix this boot loops for this rom first.

I wonder why problem exit in first place. I mean i'm sure it work for other people here.
Anyway, i don't understand what you mean exactly, do you mean to say replace boot.img after flashing miui with stock firmware boot.img? or replace boot.img before flashing miui if so replace with which boot.img?

I created a preRoot + dual recovery.
DO NOT FLASH THIS IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU DO, DONT BLAME ME IF YOUR DEVICE EXPLODE
whath do you need?
A)D2502 model
B) 4.4 or 5.0 firmware with funtional recovery (TWRP).
opcional:
C) conect your device to your pc and install yours drivers
Steps:
1) Put "D2502_19.4.A.0.182 - PreRoot + XZDual recovery", in your internal memory.
2) Reboot in to recovery TWRP (yes only TWRP)
3) Make a BackUp (optional)
4) Wipe caches
5) Flash D2502_19.4.A.0.182 - PreRoot + XZDual recovery ( flash with TWRP)
6)done!

First u have to downgrade to 5.02 then root ur mobile via kingroot after that install the recovery n flash this pre rooted zip

Im using dsixda's android kitchen i have extracted system.img and boot.img from stock rom for d2502 and added su supoort and deoxed and removed some apps everything goes fine but while flashing this zip im getting errors i think the errors arr due to updater script can u help me?

In cwm it shows status 1 error while flashing this zip

I'm not that tech savvy enough to do all this stuff, you might want to look here for errors.
I'm not the dev, and followed another person's guide to install recovery so I can't help with the guide in this thread.

Do you have dual recovery in you Phone?? Just go to "NDR utils", choose Twrp and reboot to primary recovery.
If not, search in this forum "recovery for c3"

Firmware information
The basis was a pure firmware from Fly FS507_SW11 (Android 6.0)
Rom is awesome smooth, fast and stable
Added a swapfile to / data with a size of 1 GB. Phone have now 2 GB of RAM.
In the phone, you will be greeted with a standard package of GAPPS.
When you turn on the phone you will be accompanied by the original animation by Google from the Marshmallow version.
Features:
1. MAGISK IS FULLY WORKING (10.2 and 11.6 tested) so no more bootloop
2.Completely changed build.prop (based on Google's Nexus 5)
3. MediaTek camera, Phone and Contacts MediaTek, Keyboard (AOSP), Clock (AOSP) are replaced by from Google
4. Removed FM Radio.
5. In the kernel, the enabledwap.sh and disableswap.sh file was changed (removed zram and added swap to 1 GB)
6. Updated GAPPS to the latest version (18.03.17)
7. Unnecessary libraries from remote mtk applications are removed

A: 15 to 30 minutes (Many deodex - Google Apps)
ATTENTION!!! To activate the Phone application go to the default settings of applications and select Phone, otherwise
WILL NOT WORK CALLER and Install your own SMS/MMS app (it's not included in rom)

1. Format system, data, cache dalvik/ART cache partitions
2. Flash rom in TWRP
3. Flash update1.zip
4. Boot and enjoy

Wrong path.
The correct is /dev/block/platform/mtk-msdc.0/11120000.msdc0/by-name/system

Thank you, I changed it to the correct path but now it stopts with "Updater process ended with ERROR: 6". That is really strange. I downloaded every ROM I found on XDA but none of them seem to work on my Pixi 4 5 3G 5010D. The only ROM that works is the ported stock ROM from some BLU Device ... not so nice

Did you try lineage rom ?
theme choser not working (it make bootlop so dont use it ) you can install some launcher and theme for him , gps also not working , but all other thing working on my 5010x model

Hi, I did try the Linageos ROM from xda. Same path error and same process error using corrected path. I pretty much rely on working GPS so I may not try the ROM from needrom. It is for the Pixi 3 anyway .
