Request: Remote app from new HTC One - Galaxy Note 10.1 Themes and Apps

Hi,
a friend of mine just showed off his new HTC One and the included TV-remote control, which can learn from the original remote. Is it possible to port that to our Note 10.1?
Can anybody help me here?

I don't think so cuz it needs the "I R" blaster on the phone or tablet.

I know, but my set is not fully supporte by the peel smart remote. The HTC-remote looks to be used intuitively, easy. Hmmm

The Note 10.1 only has an IR blaster, not a receiver. It can't learn from other devices. Quite a shame as the Peel remote software is pretty limited and they never seem to respond to requests.

I just got my HTC ONE on Friday the 19th & setup my tv remote control then got on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 & i stalled the peek app that came on it to use the tablet as a remote control. I bought my tablet back in January on the 19th & thought it only worked on flat screen tvs but when I hooked up my HTC ONE, I tried to hook up the ta let again & it worked flawless,y. I still have old school tvs with the big backs so I thought it only worked on newer ones such as plasmas or flat screens.

This is how a regular after market remote for multiple devices works and would be great, but any better remote app would be good enough for me. The standard one is just slow because it's trying to be a TV Guide as well and I don't like it. A simple widget with the remote part would be perfect!

[REQUEST] Android as a BT remote app for PS3

I already have a Harmony One with the IR to BT receiver but I think it would be pretty awesome to control the menu/Blu-Rays with my N1.
It can't be that hard to develop. If you had a BT keyboard you can connect it to the PS3 and you can mimmick the controls with certain keyboard buttons. (I think, haven't personally tried it but the functionality should be there for EVERY buttion. So far I've just tried the arrows.)
If I knew a crap about developing I'd do it myself.
Do want!

Yeah, I would pay for this as well. Definitely $5-$10.
Anyone find anything that can do this? I think Google tv is coming out with something like this for Harmony remotes but its only for Google tv.

MAC guys

I don't use my phone for any of that. If I needed a remote, I would use the remotes that came with said devices.

Using your (i)Phone as a remote allows you to utilize the keyboard on the phone to type in queries and searches, which is much quicker and easier than using a minimalistic Apple remote, actually.
"Remote for iTunes". Works perfect for me controlling my 1st gen aTV and iTunes on my macbook. Same kind of interface as the apple remote app. It's 4.99 but i think it was worth it. I use it everyday to control music playback on the home theater system from anywhere in the house (within wi-fi range at least)

Infrared Port on Note 10.1

Is there an app that use infrared port to control the TV, Satellite, etc? I just want a remote function that I can use offline. I don't want any feature offered in Peel Smart app. Since the Note 10.1 have infrared port, I want an app that have nothing but remote function. Anyone?

WOW, 19 bucks for the regular app, and 49 bucks for the pro version, no thanks.
Edit-They even want 4 bucks just for a 30 day license, geez, is that developer crazy or what? It's a remote app, not Office! I'll stick with my free Peel App thank you very much
The pro version is rarely required. But the support is excellent, they integrated special devices (optoma beamer, German Telekom IP-TV receiver) from the logitech smart remote control files within a day...
Such an app requires constant maintainance and there are not so much users, so the price is in my eyes ok.

pc desktop controller for galaxy note

alright, before on my ipod touch, I had the jumi controller and it was pretty sweet app. it shows me my desktop and controls everything.
I was wondering what app for the galaxy note is comparable to this? I 'd like to find out all those apps because sometimes i would have to leave the pc and I would like to have it with me all the time.

I already looked it up, it is a remote, its not a desktop controller. I am looking for a desktop controller so that I can see what I see on my laptop on my galaxy note

Then you could use splashtop 2 it works awesom for that function. if you want it for out of your local network then I believe its like 10 dollars a year unless you bought the original splashtop as I believe you would be grandfathered in like myself where I don't have to pay the 10 dollars
2x Client works nicely

Try TeamViewer - very easy to set up with the Note 10.1 and PC. Simple, and free, to use
I've always used PhoneMyPC..I don't know how it compares to others, but I like that I can view what's happening thru the webcam, or hear what's happening thru the microphone as well as have full access to my computer.

I also use PhineMyPc which enables you to customize how the touches work. For example I can use my note as a Windows tablet when connected to my laptop via PhoneMyPC

i tried both teamviewer and splash top ...there is lag with teamviewer when watching videos ...splash top is way better and the interface is better and there is no lag in audio or video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pC99enOk-cY
Splash Top 2 is the best App for something like this.
another thing with splash top is it mutes the volume of your computer so there is only one audio source in case you were close to your computer
Thank you soo much for all your replies guys. I ended up getting the splashtop 2. It is lagg free and has a lot of functionality. I really enjoy it.
i use avstreamer its the best allways works for me even at work

Mouse replacement (for presentation or joke): gPad
I control my pc using "teamviewer", a really useful app! It works fluently even with a weak wifi signal. Another useful app is "AndroMouse", I use it like a remote when I'm watching movies on the pc.
Thanks

You can control your computer via shh if you got an ssh server on there and its linux
I control my car's cd player. It's a Sony dsx-a50bt and it haves bluetooth so I can listen to music or watch videos and movies inside my phone through the car's speakers.I can also make calls without any handsfree, the player haves a built-in mic.
