I searched around for a few days and tried dozens of ways to crack this baby's root. It was a tough ride and it took me a lot of nerves to keep searching but it did pay off.
The GoClever R974.2 is a rebranded Rockchip 3066 made for the Eastern European market. It's fairly cheap and offers great performance,great set of features and full Google implementation for a very affordable price. I love it.
I tried rooting it with the ICS Root Unlocker 1.0 from sourceforge - but it did not do the trick. Actually, it did it but only partially. A Superuser app was installed, however there was no root access and Superuser wouldn't uninstall either. I did a factory data reset but superuser was still there for some reason :silly:
One thing I noticed is that I can't access the recovery mode, but I think this is another problem which is bound to either the bios or firmware settings and which does not really have anything to do with the rooting. I will make another thread on that when I find a solution.
So yeah I just decided to keep searching and it was not a big surprise to find the solution to root my Chinese tablet is a Chinese program - which only leads me to one conclusion - Chinese people are awesome, but why did they have to make their writing so funking hard to read?
So here's what you need to root this baby via Windows 7 (I did it on 64x but should work on 32x too):
1. Enable USB Debugging and (Settings > Developer Options > USB Debugging) and enable installation of apps from unknown sources (Settings > Security > Unknown Sources).
2. Plug in your device via USB. Open device manager (Control Panel > Device manager). Your tablet should be under "Other Devices > GOCLEVER" since windows can't find a driver for this tablet. You have to install the driver manually. Download the Google usb drivers here:
http://www5.zippyshare.com/v/32478689/file.html
This is a pack of the original Google drivers and a modified version for GoClever, use the original google first and if it doesn't work, try the modified version. Unpack the drivers into a folder.
To install, right click on the GOCLEVER entry in the device manager and click "Update Driver Software...", on the window that opens click "Browse my computer for driver software" then on the next screen click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers from my computer".
On the next screen choose the entry "Show all devices" and click Next. Click the button "Have disk" and on the window that opens click "Browse" find the folder where you have previously unpacked the drivers and point to the directory you want to use (within the folder you unpacked the drivers into choose between either "usb_driver" or "goclever") and choose the file "android_winusb" and click Open,and then click Ok. Choose the entry "Android Composite ADB interface" from the list and click "Next", wait for the installation to finish. The device manager should now have an entry in "Android Phones > Android Composite ADB interface". This is good and means Windows can see the device and we can move on.
3. Keep your tablet plugged into the PC. Download a Chinese program called ZhuoDashi from here:
http://www.multiupload.nl/5L8T1YRAC6
Run ZhuoDaShi installation. It's in chinese but you'll be ok, just keep clicking where the Next button should be.
EDIT: BEFORE RUNNING THE PROGRAM, PLEASE UNINSTALL BLUESTACKS IF YOU HAVE IT INSTALLED. If you have bluestacks installed on your PC, the root program will conflict when trying to root your real device and it will not work. This is probably the case for most Android emulators so uninstall them before attempting to root your goclever tab. Also, temporarily disable security programs like antivirus, anti-spyware or firewall software because those might also interfere.
After the installation, run the program (it's set to run automatically after installation by default). It will detect the device automatically. Under the picture of the device look at the red text that says "Root" and click the blue link beside it.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Wait for it to finish and voila - you should now have root access!
You can also unroot the device via this program by clicking the orange wrench and screwdriver icon (sixth icon from the left). There will be 2 pirate android icons with the word ROOT contained in the writing below it. The left one is for rooting,the right one is for unrooting.
4. Now you will have an app installed called SuperSU and this is of course the superuser app. However, you will not be able to use this app to have full root access since it's SU.apk is outdated and won't let you manipulate files in the system folder. However, do not uninstall it just yet as it is still useful to grant superuser access, which you will need to install a second newer Superuser app which will update the SU.apk. So now pen the market and find the the app called "Superuser" (by Clockworkmod), then download and install it. Open the app and grant it root access when it requests it via SuperSU and it will then ask you to update the SU so agree to that too and click on install.
Now Superuser (by Clockworkmod) will be the default app managing root access.
If you wish to remove the old SuperSU app, open it and let it update the SU again, then go to settings and click "change superuser app", it will offer to remove itself, agree to that and it should now be gone. Start up Superuser (by Clockworkmod) again and let it install the updated SU again. There,now it should work.
FINALLY your tablet is rooted! HALLELLUYAH! Praise the droid!
I've patched this method together from a ton of forum and blog posts, I don't know all the sources so sorry about that, I hope it works for you!

Hi there, for me it seemed to update via the Chinese app successfully (progress bar went to end, and green writing showed after), but I see no SuperSU app installed.
However, I do see the blue Chinese app installed (blue logo with silver object inside it).
Update:
(1) Installed Root Validator and a terminal emulator.
(2) Ran Root Validator test, and it shows a location for a superuser app /data/app/com.koushikdutta.superuser-1.apk
(3) However, when I try to access it via the terminal is says permission denied.
(4) Also according to Root Validator, the su binary is not found.
W00t, got it rooted.
(1) Reset to factory default
(2) Try Chinese root app
(3) Goto (1)
...on 4th attempt it worked
Go Clever 76.2 ROOT
Hi Guys,
i am in no way a developer, im a complete noob, i once did jailbreak on my sons ipod touch, thats the extent of my experience, however, we recently got him a Go Clever 76.2 tab, and 1 or 2 apps havent installed due to no root access, i tried one click rooting and it never worked, do you think the above mentioned method would work with this model, i only ask as i noticed one of the packages to d-load wasnt for his model, it is 7500 i think.., if you think i would be safer taking it to a shop or not botheering i will defer to your judgement, its just a bit of 'its there so i want to do it ' on my behalf !
Also, the drivers package to download as the pc wont recognize the device, well my pc does recognize it, it comes up in the device section, or is that something different ?
Sorry for being clueless , thanks for any advice
EDIT- After some more tinkering, the Android Composite ADB shows up in my device manager, but the chinese programme wont proceed, still waiting on the pic of tablet/option to root to appear

I did a combo of this tutorial and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2272266 this one.

Hi,
try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2612105
Works for other GoClever tablets as well?
Hi friends. I really wasn't expecting for this tablet to be possible to root, very happy to see that it is! My question: Is the method of rooting using this tutorial only limited to the GoClever R974.2, cause I have a GoClever Terra 72 and want to root it(and since I'm still under waranty, unroot it incase I need to ). I'm still very much a noob in rooting and things alike, so I hope I can get a bit of help. Thanks!
What About goClever Tab R104 ? Has Anyone Tested It On Other Devices ?

I tried it for mine, and it probably would have worked (the rooting software), but the drivers aren't for my tablet, that's why it didn't. Now, where to get drivers that don't exist? (Seriously, I've looked and lookds, there are just NO drivers for the Terra 72 D.
So if you don't have the drivers for your specific tablet, it will not work, at least I think it won't. You can just try it yourself.

NOTE: I will not be held responsible on anything that may happens to your phone... This proceedure is to DO IT ON YOUR OWN RISK!! and rooting the phone may void your warranty ..
Its better to try Superoneclick and Unlockroot procedure first before you try this!! this is just your last option when you think both fails to root your phone.
These are the steps I did to successfully root my cheap Alcatel OT-918N (white from SUN Carrier Philippines) in chronological order.
Credits should go to breakk and his team and the forum where it was posted http://www.movilesdualsim.com/foro/threads/9022-TUTORIAL-ROOTEAR-ALCATEL-OT-918-D-(Android-2-3-5) This is the 3rd procedure they suggested I just translated it.. Thanks a lot mates!!!
Download all and follow all instructions carefully:
1. Drivers MTK6516_PL-2303_para_XP, vista y win 7.rar--- http://www.mediafire.com/?32e6q4fzx7ahoeh
2. 918D system.img (pass: breakk.movilesdualsim.com)--- http://www.mediafire.com/?f4dahqmmucqha9c
3. flash tool and scatter.txt --- http://www.mediafire.com/?9w5b5h1ywseljrr
4. EXtract all downloads to a single folder that can be easily located.
5. Backup your files
6. make sure the phone is charged with enough battery then turn the phone off
7. while its off connect the phone to your PC using a USB Cable
8. An unknown device will appear instantly
9. choose to update driver manualy.Depending on the OS you have (xp, vista, 7) install the appropriate driver from STEP 1.
10. If you installed the drivers correctly UNPLUG your phone and you can now proceed to the next step
11. run "Flash_tool.exe" from the extracted files

12. click on the yellow folder button on the right that says "Scatter-loading"
13. browse for the file MT6573_Android_scatter_Alcatel_OT_918D.txt select it and click open
14. it will gives you an ERROR [WARNING HINT] JUST PROCEED and click OK
15. a list will appear, scroll down and CLICK the BOX beside "ANDROID"
16. then double click on the word "Android" and browse for the file system.img (the file you downloaded in Step 2) and open it
17. Now click the button Download in the top of the flashtool window
18. This will initiate a 15 second countdown at the bottom of the window, plug the 918N in the usb port during this countodown (the phone must be off)
19. You will see a yellow bar @ the bottom, wait until it goes reaches 100%. Once this is done there will be a message that will report that you successfully completed the process,also a green/white circle will appear in the flashtool and on the screen of your mobile the battery charging indicator will appear. UNPLUG the phone from the usb port and press the POWER. The phone will start and the Android logo will appear, now just wait a few minutes without touching anything on the phone (buttons or touchscreen), it will take some time to load the system.img. Once the screen displays the menu that asks for password the for 2 SIM cards you are ready, you have succesfully rooted the 918N!!! JUST HIT THE THANKS BUTTON

I did not continue because when I plug in my phone while powered off I see only "MTK65xx Preloader" and another unknown device. The unknown one disappears forever. I chose to manually install the driver for MTK65XX preloader thing with the mobileuncle one. When I reconnect it Windows still tries to install the driver. This might be because the drivers weren't properly installed.
I'm not risking it until this one is cleared up XD I know what to expect from the flash tool, but the driver installation in Windows is unclear (windows itself, not this tutorial)
Edit: LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL I don't know what I just did. I tried Easy Rooting Toolkit and SuperOneClick (again) and magically my phone got rooted. LOL. Dunno what happened there (other than enabling everything under "Development"). Thank you, heavens.

You can reinstall the driver again when it ask you the second time. And once the driver is not installed it will not established a connection to your phone and the flash tool will give you an error saying no device is connected. It will abort the flashing process so nothing will be flashed and all will be the same... The only thing you should be afraid of is when the yellow thing runs and you accedentally stop the process before reaching 100%. And lot of courage is needed as well. Hahaha

Sir Jbazt_katuforzs i'm using windows 7 32bit i just can't install the preloader driver and i don't know why. Choose the driver depending on your OS. Did the pc recognized an unknown device when you plug the phone while its off? If not the previous drivers you've installed from superoneclick and unlockroot messes the ports. Try to install it on a different pc running xp. It will only take you 5-10 mins

just want to share, i successfully rooted my OT-918N from SunCellular PH with Android 2.3.6 using the following scatter.txt and recovery.img file.
the procedure is the almost the same. skipping the loading of system.img as we are only after the custom recovery to be able to install superuser and busybox.
another thing is i set the flashtool to USB Mode instead of scanning to com ports... hope you get the same results as i did.

Disclaimer:
- This requires a PC.
- No CWM needed.
- This installs a Chinese root manager rather than superuser or superSU. But I will teach you how to replace it below.
Instruction:
1. Download the rooting application. (This app can root many other devices :good: )
***mod edit links removed
2. Install the app. This is a Chinese app so I will guide you. Below is a step by step screenshot attached guide.
Start the exe you downloaded. Click Next.

Next.
Don't create start menu. (as you wish)
Create desktop icon.
Finish. Uncheck if you dont want to start the rooting app now.
3. Start VROOT and root now!
Rooting app started. This will pop-up.
Now connect your device and you it will get detected. (Make sure USB Debugging is turned ON in your device)
Click the Green bottom right button and wait for rooting process to be done.
When this shows up, device will reboot, now you can unplug your device.
4. Now we need to install SuperSU from play store to replace the Chinese root manager called 授权管理 1.0.4.
5. Go to play store and install SuperSU.
6. Start SuperSU and you will be asked for permission by 授权管理 1.0.4, choose 允许(means allow). (Should be the right side option.)
7. SuperSU will prompt to install SU binary, go ahead with OK and it will display successful.
8. Now, freeze 授权管理 1.0.4 in titanium backup, just in case you need it again.
Note: If you uninstall straight away from app manager, you need to make sure SuperSU updated the binary.
9. Re-run SuperSU to make sure everything is alright. You will be prompt again to install SU binary, just do what it asked.
10. After that, you are rooted with SuperSU and 授权管理 1.0.4 will not be there anymore.
Optional
11. If you want to be more assured, in SuperSU app, prepare for a Reinstall in settings. (NOT Full unroot NOT Switch superuser app)
12. SuperSU will be removed and go back to play store to re-download and install.
13. Start SuperSU and SuperSU will prompt to install SU binary, go ahead with OK and it will display successful.
Hi zhuhang.
Thanks for taking the time to post a usable guide for the VROOT method here.
Just wanted to confirm that this works on my Huawei MediaPad 10 Link tablet also.
I suggest that you create a post with a list of all devices with which this rooting method works.
Also, there is a problem when I tried to uninstall the chinese root manager after installing superSU. I am getting error when updating the superSU binary after uninstalling the chinese root manager from Titanium Backup.
Check this and let me know. I will also add this to the ROOT post of the Lenovo A706 thread.
Thanks.

This Vroot tool just worked for me - Sony Ericsson Xperia Active ST17i, Android version 4.1.B.0587
The other similar tool (eRoot) mentioned in other XDA threads did not work.
No need to use the complicated method of re-flashing older android version! :good:
Thanks OP for the root method. The phone that I used was Sony Xperia ZR LTE. Initially I wanted to just stay with the Chinese Root Manager, but most Chinese Root Managers are too obstructive, they kept pestering me to control app auto startup each and every time I installed a new app. So I decided to replace it with SuperSU instead.
Like few others, I installed SuperSU from App Store, grant it root access from the Chinese Root Manager, ran SuperSU let it installed its own SU binaries or something. Thought that is all, then I disabled the Chinese Root Manager. Unfortunately after that SuperSU was not recognized as the Root Manager.
After a few trial and errors, I found that we have to make SuperSU as System App in order to be able to replace another Root Manager. So what I did was I installed "/system/app mover" from the App Store, grant it root access from the Chinese Root Manager, then converted SuperSU to System App. After that just repeated what I did earlier, grant SuperSU root access, let it installed its binaries, blah blah blah.
After all these, I disabled the Chinese Root Manager, tested that the SuperSU is doing its work, then installed Titanium Backup and uninstalled the Chinese Root Manager from my phone. Viola! Now I have a simple root manager.
Hope it helps people who wanted to have another Root Manager but unable to get it working.

Installing Drivers
Preloader
We will start with the Preloader driver, which is the trouble one.
First of all, shutdown the Phone.
Go to the Start Menu, right click in the Computer, and click Manage. Then go to the Device Manager.
Now you need to be quick! Connect the Phone to the computer via USB cable, and when appears MT65xx Preloader as unknown driver, right click in the device, Update Device, select the second option, select the folder mt65xx+preloader+drive that you downloaded and check the Include Subfolders option. Now let it install. Once installed, it will disappear, that's the reason that I said to be quick. The Preloader disconnects when the device is not in use and goes to charging mode.
Now you can turn on the device.
ADB Driver
This is the easy one. Connect the phone in debugging mode, and in the Device Manager it will appear another driver to install.
This time you only need to select the MTK_USB_ Driver folder and it will install!
How to ROOT
Download the MTKDroidTools which is in the Essential tools section, create a folder and extract the files.
If the drivers are installed and the device is in debugging mode, it will appear a green block at bottom left side like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
Go to root, backup, recovery section, then click on SuperUser option. Click on YES to every option that will show up. You can select SuperSU app or the SuperUser app. I selected the SuperSU. Now click on Reboot at bottom right corner
Now you have your device rooted!
How to remove China Apps
In the same section as in the ROOT tutorial, you this time click in Delete china.
How to change the screen's DPI
Preparing the scenary
This gives a better look to the screen and it will look like Galaxy S4.
I changed the DPI because of the 240 DPI to 480x854 screen is so huge that hurts my eyes, and I have so small space to the apps!
We will prepare the work to you don't manually edit anymore the build.prop file, just this time.
So, lets begin. You need ROOT to do this!
Open the Root Explorer, go to the system folder, keep the finger at the build.prop file and select Copy.
Now go back to the root (/), go to the sdcard folder and select Paste.
Now connect the phone to the Computer and enable the USB file transfer.
Go to the phone internal memory by your Computer, and edit the build.prop file with Notepad++ to preserve the Unix Style of the text. Go to the end and add the following line:
Code:
ro.sf.lcd_density=240
Save the file. We have set the DPI to 240, but we will change it later in an easier way.
Now let's put the file back to the phone.
Go to Root Explorer and go to the /sdcard directory. Now press the build.prop file and click the Move option. Go back to root, go to the system folder, click in Mount R/W and click in Paste. Overwrite the file.
Changing the DPI
Now we can do the trick with the MTKDroidTools.
Go to MtkDroidTools folder, and edit the build_prop_replace.txt file.
It must have this code inside:
Code:
ro.sf.lcd_density=240
You can change to a DPI between the 120 and 320 I think. Higher the DPI, higher the icons, less space for them.
You can calculate here the right DPI for your screen:
http://pxcalc.com/
Insert the data just like I did:
Seems like the right DPI to the screen is 195 DPI.
You can test this inserting the 1080x1920 resolution with 5 inch. If it gives us 440 DPI, that is the correct DPI from Galaxy S4 specs from GSMArena.
Now change the 240 value to 195:
Save the file and go to MTKDroidTools.
Go to the root, backup, recovery section and click in build.prop option.
Then click Reboot to reboot the device.
Compare here the difference between 240 DPI (left) and 195 DPI (right) screen:
Now when you want to change DPI you only need to do this steps.
How to install CWM
To install CWM on the phone, open the MTKDroidTools and go to the root, backup, recovery section.
Click on To use boot from phone and click the Recovery and Boot button.
Now click Yes to every option.
Now you can access to CWM recovery by pressing Volume Up + Home + Power, and the Volume Down + Home + Power stock recovery is still working.
How to make a backup
To backup you whole ROM, open the MTKDroidTools and go to the root, backup, recovery section.
If you want to backup your personal data to a personal backup, check the Backup userdata and cache box (I don't think it is recoverable, it didn't worked for me).
If you want to create only a ROM only with ROOT, do not check any box.
Now click in Backup and wait a few minutes. If it asks to pack the ROM, click Yes.
Now click in To create updates for modified recovery and select the files.md5 file inside backup folder.
The backup is complete. It is in the backup folder, and works with SP Flash Tool and CWM.
How to flash with stock ROM
Be sure that you have CWM installed and the preloader drivers succefully installed!
Turn off your phone and start with CWM (Volume Up + Home + Power). Click in wipe data/factory reset and YES, the same for wipe cache partition and go to advanced. Now click in Wipe Dalvik Cache and do YES, the same for Wipe Battery State. Go back.
Open the SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1312.0.139 folder and open Flash_tool.exe.
Click on Scatter-loading button. Go to the 20130517_e2006_v89_jbla768_asx folder and select the MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt file. Be sure that you have all the options selected like in the print.
Now this is a very quick step! In the main CWM menu in the phone, click in reboot system now.
Now go to the Smart Phone Flash Tool window. When the Windows makes the hardware inserted sound, you must click in the Firmware -> Upgrade option. If you hear the sound of hardware disconnected before the tool does it job, you must restart your phone and do this again.
If the Flash tool flashed the cellphone successfully, it will auto boot as the first time.
This means that you did the trick!

Essential tools
Here is a list with download links for some indispensable tools:
Notepad++
Drivers
MTKDroidTools
SP Flash Tool v3.1312.0.139
Go to root, backup, recovery section, then click on SuperUser option. Click on YES to every option that will show up. You can select SuperSU app or the SuperUser app. I selected the SuperSU. Now click on Reboot at bottom right corner

Hi Ivan, I just wanted to thank you for the time you took to make this guide. You see, I'm from Argentina, and i bought this phone. It is excellent. The only problem I had, is that for example, I can use the phone all day without issues, but after a day or less, when i try to open an app, it just closes itself, and every app that i try to open does the same thing. The only thing that solves this is restarting the phone. Anyway, it isn't a big issue but it becomes a pain in the *** when you're trying to work. So after a few weeks, I reached the conclusion that it may be a problem with the stock ROM. In this post, you said that you were going to update the method to flash with the sotck rom, but you didn't. I wanted to know if you could help me with this, and to know if you had the same issue. Thanks for everything, and I'll be waiting for your answer

Hi JaxDrive, thank you for the opinion
I had some documentation to present in the school, so I didn't had time to do, but I will do in a few hours I think.
By the way, try to install this Launcher:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gau.go.launcherex
The stock Launcher had some bugs, and I think that would be because of the stock Launcher, so I've installed this, which it gives better look also!

Oh, sorry then for my bad aproaching to the topic haha :fingers-crossed:. Anyways, it's good to know that someone has the same phone as I do (only that I have the white version), and knows about programing, to help this noob to sort this issues out :B. Anyway, I already changed the launcher, because the stock one was buggy and ugly, but mostly ugly :laugh:. I'm currently using the Nova Launcher, which is pretty and works wonderfull. Like I said, the only problem that the phone has, is the apps closing themselves issue, which now became pretty annoying . I though that as you posted the method to have CWM recovery on our phone, if I'm able to get in my hands the original ROM of our phone, I can flash it, and hopefully fix this problem. But work at your own speed, I'm sure you have other things to care about besides this. So thats it, if you could provide the next tutorials about our phone, I would be very gratefull. Also I saw in one of your previous posts that you succesfully overclocked our processor, that would be an interesting feature too

Hi mates,I am posting this tutorial because there is no Step by Step Tutorial to Root ASUS ZenFone 5 T00F/T00J running Lollipop and a lot of people are finding it difficult to Root their devices.So here we go.
All credit goes to shakalaca for providing the Root Kit.
Before You Begin :
I won’t be liable if any damage occurs to your device during the process.Proceed at your own risk.
This root method is tested by me on ZenFone 5 T00F/T00J (WW SKU ).Make sure your Build number is WW 3.23.40.52 / 3.23.40.60 / 3.24.40.78 / 3.24.40.87 before proceeding (Go to Settings > About phone > Software information > Build number ).Don’t try on any other ZenFone 5 with different Model/SKU.I can’t vouch for other ZenFones/SKU Versions.
Rooting your phone will void the manufacturer's warranty (You can Unroot anyway).
Backup all the important stuff.In case your device is wiped off .Backup your data to PC.You can use Titanium Backup (Root) / Helium to backup your apps and data.
The battery of the phone should be at least 80% charged.
Requirements :
ASUS Android USB Driver - Download Link
ADB Installer v1.4.2 (Credit goes to Snoop05 ) - Download Link
ZF5_LP_RootKit - Download Link 1 / Download Link 2
USB Data Cable
PC
Instructions :
Step 1: Download Zip file (ZF5_LP_RootKit )
Step 2: Extract the root package on your PC using 7-Zip/WinZip
Step 3: Enable USB debugging on your phone [ Go to Settings >About phone> Software information >Build number.Now tap on Build Number 7 times,it will enable “Developer options” in Settings.Again,go back to Settings > Developer options > Enable the USB debugging (by checking the box against “USB debugging” ) ]
Step 4: Install USB drivers (if you haven't installed ) in your PC ( Check the installed Programs list : Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features )
Step 5: Run ADB Installer v1.4.2 to install ADB drivers and setup ADB on the PC.
Step 6: Connect your phone to the PC using a USB Cable.You will get a pop-up saying “Allow USB debugging” on the phone.Tick the check box that says “ Always allow for this computer” and press OK
Step 7: With the phone connected to the PC, run the “ Root “ (Windows batch file ) file by double click on it.Linux and Mac users should run “Root.sh” file.
Step 8: In your PC,a notification will appear in Command Prompt (cmd),asking you to “Press any key to continue… ”. Press any key on the keyboard. The Root process will start your phone will now reboot into fastboot mode automatically and then start flashing the root files.Don’t interrupt the process,let it complete.
Step 9: Once the process is completed,the phone will reboot automatically.Once the rooting process is finished ,in cmd it will ask you “Press any key to continue… ”.Press any key on the keyboard and disconnect the USB Cable.
Step 10: Once your phone is Rebooted.Check if there is any “SuperSU” app installed in the phone,if it’s installed,the process is successful.
Congratulations!!!You have got the Root access. :good:
You can verify the root access on your device using apps like Root Check or Root Checker.
Don’t forget to unroot your device before applying any OTA.To unroot your device,run UnRoot (Windows Batch File) by double clicking it OR in SuperSU settings click “Full unroot”.
Tested by me on ASUS ZenFone 5 A501CG [Lollipop 5.0] [ASUS_T00J_WW_user_3.23.40.60 and 3.24.40.78 ]
Enjoy!!!

Hello,sorry for the delayed response.I have been a bit busy.Yeah,it should work for v3.24.40.87 firmware as well as it's just a bug fixing firmware which was released to fix the issues presented in Firmware 3.24.40.78
Personally,I am still on 3.24.40.78 as there are still a lot of bugs in 3.24.40.87 and some users are reporting it even worse than 3.24.40.78.So just waiting for the more stable release.:fingers-crossed:
Make sure you backup your data before proceeding.Do get back to tell about the results.
Good luck!! :good:
Hey After rooting I am not able to download app of more 60MB. The download restart by its own and play store gives error 905. PLZ HELPP!!! DEVELOPER!!
here you will find how to root and unroot your galaxy core prime VE.
DON'T try it on other variants, this is only for the G361H.
DO THIS at YOUR OWN RISK, I'm NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE HAPPENS TO YOUR PHONE
It's prefered to use the TWRP method..
How To Root:
Method 1 : pre- rooted rom
1-Get the pre-rooted ROM from here
2-Download Odin 3.09.
3-If the ROM file that you downloaded is in .ZIP format extract it.
4-Extract Odin.
5-Run Odin as administrator.
6-Put the ROM in the AP field.
7-Put your phone into download mode, Power off the phone then use the three button combo to do that (power+home+vol down).
8-Press vol up.
9-Connect your phone to your PC using the USB data cable.
10-Once Odin detects your phone (it'll show a yellow box), press start.

Try mounting system partition then rebooting.
Very good.
Rooting failed?
HI,
I love the details in your guide.
I installed TWRP and then went into reboot > system. I then swiped to install the binary, which it did. Once it rebooted, a notification appeared for SuperSU. I click it and it said SuperSU's su binary is not present, this is a fatal error!
I would appreciate any further help

Did you update superSU app from playstore, and made it update it's root binary?
TWRP adds a basic root binary that enable the latest superSU app to install it's fully working root binary.
Hi, thanks for your quick reply.
I clicked notification which opened the supersu installer. It then said "SuperSU's su binary is not present, this is a fatal error!"
I then clicked OK and the application closed.
Reopening the app still gives the same message

Update superSU manually from playstore, it should tell you if superSU binary isn't installed and might offer you an option to install it uaing TWRP, you can go for this method, or you can try repeating the post method again, as TWRP will ask you agian to root if the root binary wasn't installed. However don't worry, rooting using TWRP sometimes mistakenly miss somethings which cause to fail, but repeating the process will solve it..

SuperSU updated automatically, I did try after it updated and I did try re-rooting from TWRP. It rebooted after I clicked system under reboot section. I saw a previous comment about mounting the system partition. I mounted it and reboot, but it was no longer mounted after rebooting (by clicking reboot then recovery in TWRP). I then tried mounting without rebooting, this produced the same outcome. The phone reboots normally into the os. I also tried using SuperSU to fully unroot. I then tried TWRP again (both without mounting system partition and with mounting system partition). The phone still reboot into the OS. I do believe that I could restart from the beginning if I was able to uninstall SuperSU, but I can't as it was installed as a system app by TWRP.
I appreciate your help and hope you can find a way to make this work.

Hey crackpot360,
Open settings, scroll to the bottom and tap "About device", then tap build number until you unlock developer options.
Now open "Developer options" (above "About device") and scroll down to "root access". Change it to the "apps" setting.
Now, when an app requests superuser permissions it will ask you just as any other superuser app would. You can also choose to allow permanently.
When an app uses superuser it will show a "#" symbol in the Status bar.
To revoke permissions in the future, open the privacy settings, tap "Privacy guard", then tap the menu button at the top and select "Advanced". Then scroll all the way to the right to control the superuser access of apps.
I hope this helps
A thanks would be great

OK thanks for the reply first of all,
secondly, Ive already solved the problem by flashing supersu through recovery and updating binaries for it, but now my question is, should i follow through with your steps or just let it be? because everything as of right now is working fine.
Thanks again.
Is there any way to remove "Kernel is not seandroid enforcing" and "Recovery is not seandroid enforcing" on the top of the screen on boot splash? I have already installed TWRP and flashed Lineage on it. Phone boots and works just as expected, it is just that little detail that bugs me.

I have the same problem. Can you tell me how to mount my system partition?
I went to mount, then i checked system and clicked the internal storage. After that i went to system=>reboot but it just rebooted. It didn't asked me whether or not my phone is rooted!!
For those who want to root their Samsung Galaxy phone, I recommended to use the TWRP method. Hell man I tried the pre-rooted rom but it mess up my phone like it stop and stuck at samsung logo after rebooting for indefinite time. Luckily though I fix it just installing the Stock ROM. Then use the TWRP method to root my phone. Now it is rooted and updated and working fine. BTW, if the SuperSU asking for installation by Google Play Market or TWRP, use the TWRP because SuperSU is not available in store. It will download the binary of supersu and it will go to twrp recovery and just swipe it and it will install after that it will reboot. After that your phone will be rooted. Just download some root checker app in playstore to see if it is totally rooted. That's it, thanks.
